Novel 5- Can you repeat that? I’ll die if I don’t dual cultivate?

As the name shows, this is more of a fun project I wrote in an afternoon.

I shouldn't have done this since I am filled with other work but...

We do what we want to and leave the troublesome things on the side...

As the name indicates, this is a fun Novel, I wrote it after I read a bit of the manga:

Without a Daoist Partner, I will die!

So you'll see a plot very very similar to what is shown in the manga, but only for the start as my plan was to make my own story after that.

CHAP 1 Robert, the Wizard

Somewhere in a bustling city, a young man that seemed to be in his early 20's sat in front of his computer with uninterested eyes.

As he read through the wall of text in front of him, he finally arrived at the end and smiled.

"Finally!... This ass is over…"

As he looked at the ceiling from the comfort of his gaming chair, he said:

"It wasn't as bad of an ending as I thought, but still, no wonder this novel is just a 4.2 out of 5 stars… Sigh."

'Another novel on the list is done… What's next?'

The young man saw what novels were available so he chose one and left its tab open on the computer while he went out of his room to grab something to eat.

He lived alone in a rather nice apartment, it wasn't big but certainly nor small, having around 3 rooms and a major area where the kitchen was together with the living room.

Opening the fridge and picking some cheese, the young man made himself a sandwich and sat on the couch to relax.

His name was Robert, 29 years old, single, unemployed and a virgin…

It seems like quite the bad combination, and you couldn't be more correct, but his case was special.

Robert had a pair of very intelligent and responsible parents with their own level of foresight, I know, rare stuff tight?

And since he was born, they kept a savings account for him that would end up accumulating quite the amount of money until he graduated from College.

Not only that, but when he was very small, Robert was lucky and bought several things with the legendary… Bitcoins.

The result was that a total of several dozen Bitcoins survived for almost 2 decades and eventually reached his hands while he was in College.

Because of this, his life was set, there was no more need for him to finish University and get a job, to work everyday for meager results, to live paycheck by paycheck...

And before he got into College, Robert had the pastime of writing, something he does till today, and over a decade of accumulation, Robert was already a pro with a great fan base, and just from that, he made more than enough money to live off that.

However, that was only his hobby as Robert had no need for that as he was… Well, rich.

His day is all about waking up, going on a run, then to the Gym, his martial arts classes since he was bored, and finally, to spend the rest of his day on his Pc.

His diet was rather balanced thanks to his responsible parents once again with their incredible teachings, and with the cooking he learned with his father, he is more than capable of cooking everything he needs.

The basic of course, but he is more than good enough to follow most recipes.

But wait… Why does such a man not have a girlfriend?

He has money and a toned body, his personality is also very good, could it be that he is ugly, and that his taste in girls is quite bad?

Not exactly, in fact, he is decently handsome, and with a well-cared body and face, he is rather attractive to most girls, especially with his double chin and immense 1.9M height…

The best way to say why he doesn't have one is that… He is lazy, and unlucky.

Since childhood, he stayed in the same school, from preschool to college, with the same friends and people.

Because of this, he came to learn about everyone's personality and since no 'attractive' girls ever got into the school, he ended up losing his chance to get a girlfriend around that time.

He tried a few times… 3 to be precise, one when he was small, one when he was a young teen, and another one when he had just entered high school, all ended up in failures before anything even began, and because of this, he developed a pessimistic look on relationships.

Especially since he was from a generation where both girls and boys were… Doing some very suspicious activities on social media platforms. Making him have an even worse outlook on people.

His university wasn't anything special either, the first half was pretty boring since he had chosen something rather unpopular with girls on his city block… Engineering.

And by the time the second half of his university started, his life was starting to form since his popularity as a writer was arriving at its peak, and he got access to his savings account his parents made for him.

He never approached girls, and to be honest, the ones that tried to approach him were repealed unconsciously by him… What he lacked was just one girl who could persist for even a bit and understand him.

But soul mates are like that, you may or may not find them, and most people never do, either messing up their chance or marrying someone else and making do with their lives.

Because this is what being an adult is all about, you just make do with what life put in your way.

However, for Robert, life decided to be kind and allowed him to be a free man, you may call him a leech, but he is doing something, every day...

He gives entertainment to tens of thousands of people with his works, and even if his life may be seen as boring, he has enjoyed these past few years so far.

Despite his parents' protests of course… They were right, after all, if things continued like this, then poor Robert would truly die a virgin and without an heir…

Robert fully understood this but… He was a lazy and laid-back person, society can be scary sometimes, so why go out of his way to seek to have his heartbroken when he already has everything he needs?

Does this mean he isn't mature? Of course not, Robert is much more mature than most men, be it hearing other people's troubles, or simply understanding their situation, he was a master of hearing and giving his opinion in a simple and gentle way.

Only when he is talking in person since he can be quite bad at expressing himself when online…

For the curent Robert, most of his social contact comes from the Gym and his everyday runs around the park, and to be a be honest, Robert did have his eyes on a girl recently, someone he would always see on the park and in the gym. He even helped her a few times…

And from the looks of it, she wasn't particularly against it either, but to our Roberts luck and misfortune, the girl was just like him…

With two stuck-out people, how could anything ever happen?

It has been 3 months since things started to get awkward between them… Robert had been thinking for a long time whether he should invite her out but he himself is conflicted…

What is even calling out someone? His closest experience was calling his school buddies for some pizzas… Oh yeah, Robert doesn't drink, nor does he smoke, much less drugs.

He was never a fan of all of that, somehow, his fruit juices with the occasional coke were enough for his daily intake of liquids, specially a rare drink called water, he is very fond of it.

What can Robert do? He is terrible at drinks and even worse at relationships…

Should he call a friend and bear the humiliation for a few days in exchange for advice? Should he start reading the boring news again so he can have a subject to talk about? Should he drink more so he can get more comfortable around such scenarios?

Is his dick big enough?...

"?!"

Well… Perhaps mother Earth had enough and she decided to help Robert a bit.

/Clang!/

[19:00]

On this very moment when Roberts turns 30 and becomes a wizard… Mother Earth decided to lay him a hand…

As Robert struggled to get the piece of stuck bread out of his mouth, he tripped on a conveniently placed piece of cloth on the ground and tripped…

And like this, Robert left on his way, mother Earth had done her job, now it was time to entrust his soul to somewhere else…

And it was now his turn.

"Urg!... It hurts! It hurts!" Exclaimed the boy as a dark circular brand burned on his chest

The young man was rather handsome, but his features were rough, he looked malnourished and he had many small wounds on his body, it was clear that life wasn't kind to him.

His eyes were depressed and he had lost the will to live, how sad, deeming he is 16 years old and barely had the time to experience life…

But perhaps that is for the best, those of weak will are better off in heaven than suffering in the mortal realm…

As the minutes passed and the dark symbol dissipated from his chest, the young man's tears slowly fell onto the grave.

There was no one left to bury him… It was the end of the Lei line…

/CRACK!/

Suddenly, the ceiling of the cave broke and a person fell from it, falling in the middle of the graves, breaking most of the tombstones.

"Urg!... Ba-Baster-d-d… He-he'll pay… A-Ahhh… Mmm…"

The person in trouble was a rather gorgeous girl, her hair blacker than even the poor boy on the ground, her clothes were simple yet fancy, displaying the elegance of her mature and sensual body…

She touched herself in ecstasy but soon stopped as her eyes sharpened.

Perhaps fate was playing a cruel joke on our poor Robert, but to think he would be reborn on the body of a child destined to die…

Not everyone can live a good life, and it seemed Robert was going for an any% speedrun of life…

While still thinking of what happened and how he got here, trying his best to piece his broken memories amidst the pain. He suddenly felt cold...

Ahh… How cruel can fate be! It hasn't even been 2 minutes, but not only did he die once, reincarnated, struck with a curse, slapped, had his first kiss stolen… It now seemed he was going to be raped!

But perhaps the heavens took pity on Robert as the girl laid down her sword and fed him a small cylindrical pill before she left, flying in the sky like a fairy under the moonlight.

Ohh Robert… Poor Robert, this isn't time to be sleeping.

The village burns in the mountain foot and your dick is still uncovered. It might've felt incredible, but it's still not time to relax…

As they say, never be caught with your pants down!

Alas, Robert woke up while feeling both of his heads in pain.

Memories of the past week suddenly flashed on his head, not from this other life, but from his past life.

"Lei Bei… Lei Bei… LEI BEI! The protagonist of that dirty novel!"

It was all clear now what was happening, Robert had over a decade of experience to connect the dots.

Disbelief was written on his face as he sat on the ground with hollow eyes.

Was he supposed to be happy? In one moment his life of luxury was switched for what could be a potentially dangerous life filled with life-threatening scenarios and an unending struggle for power.

"Haaa… Deep breaths… I need to think… If I am Lei Bei… This means…"

Robert started to think, important moments of the Novel went over his head.

Mind you, Lei Bei's story wasn't the last one he had read, but one he had read quite a while ago… At least 3 to 4 major martial art novels were read after he was done with it, so some events aren't particularly fresh, especially at the start.

But Robert soon jumped out of the ground and started to run, he had remembered, not everything, but the very start… He knew of it!

As he ran out of the cave he saw smoke rising into the sky and a village in flames.

"It's all the same… I don't really remember the novel's start very well, but there was a comic made after it… And its events are much better imprinted in my head..."

Robert… Or should we say, Lei Bei made his way down the mountain as he said:

"Lei Bei, the last descendant of the Lei line, cursed to die on his 16th birthday because he did not know the method behind the halt of his curse, and also because the curse was the strongest in all of the previous generations."

'His bloodline was cursed a millennia ago when his Family's ancestor was cursed by a Cultivator, and all of his offspring and relatives got affected by it.'

'Yes, this is a martial worlds novel, one where the world background is lacking and the characters aren't properly fleshed out, and the original owner of this body was a rather dumb protagonist.'

'The only reason why I read through it was that I felt some of the decisions to be rather natural instead of forced, even if idiotic, they were in line with everything the author had built so far, and the author was also a master of doing choices and actions that people wouldn't think off.'

'So even if the story plot was predictable, the way it happens was not.'

"Today, Lei Bei died once, then he was brought back by a basic Cultivation Pill given to him by that girl that raped me… After that, his curse gets suppressed since he unknowingly found out how to do it…"

'To practice Dual Cultivation with a girl…'

"After he does it, he goes down the mountain to find his childhood friend being in the middle of being raped by bandits, he struggles with a choice if he should intervene or not, but he eventually does and is killed once again because his cheats weren't activated yet."

"However, his death was the final trigger for everything to align as the ancient beast that lurked within the bloodline of the Lei's managed to for the first time in millennia, to affect the mortal world again."

"As his mind was sent to the beast, the beast took control of his body and slaughtered the bandits and had his body go through a basic reformation thanks to the Pill he was given and this allowed him to break through the first realm of Cultivation, QI formation stage."

"Or so things were supposed to go, the comic is still imprinted on my mind, and some of these things are so repetitive that I can guess their plot easily, but I also hope I am not mixing things up with another novel."

'Some things were hard to predict as well due to the author's dubious choices from time to time...'

Robert continued his way down as he said one last time:

"There is a way to know if this is all true or not… And that is… Lyin! The childhood friend."

"If she truly exists and the situation ends up being the same… Then I just need to repeat it!"

"However… I am not that fond of dying…" Said Robert as he looked at his sword on his waist

'For a cultivation main character, I was more buffed than him…'

"If everything goes well… Then I can activate the cheat and from there… It's simple."

'I just need to follow in Mc's steps while not making the same useless decisions and mistakes as him, this should allow me to grow easier, stronger, and faster without unnecessary drama.'

'And also, I am not as socially awkward as he was, so at the very least, I should be able to talk with girls better than him right?'

'While he was forced by the plot to sleep with 70% of his future Harem members, I can at least make it all flow more naturally!'

'After this event happened, instead of staying with the mc, she actually left with the villagers… When none of them ever treated her well, and none of them are her family…'

'And after she got the fancy of a young master of a sect nearby, she was raised by them and her decent talent sprouted, but as the mc was doing something else, he couldn't stop her fruit from being taken and because of this, she was one of the most hated characters I had ever seen.'

'Even she hated herself and later in the story, she commits suicide, and it's implied she reincarnated in another girl's body and this time she would be able to be happy with the Mc.'

'If she stayed with the mc, everything would've been easier.'

Robert's hands trembled as he held his knife, he quickly remembered the plot and looked at the guards…

There are over 20 bandits, none of them are cultivators but neither is he.

In front of him were 3, and 2 were looking at another bandit as he slowly removed his pants.

Robert didn't know how to fight, he went to a few martial arts dojos during his later years to spice up his life but he doubts that is enough in this situation…

And if the plot is true, he could escape here today… Or at least try, but if he escapes there is at least 70% of the bandits to find and kill him, starting the plot nonetheless.

Or he can rush forward, die early and preserve the dignity of Lei Bei's old friend…

Robert's choice was obvious! He rushed forward and ran.

"?! There's a brat alive!" Screamed one of the two bandits

"I'll take care of it…"

Robert took out a small knife he had on his waist and threw it at the guard that screamed.

/Clang!/

But the dagger was parried, it was a good throw, but not fast enough…

"This guy… Butcher him for me!" Exclaimed the bandit

"... Ok!"

The other bandit, who had been stunned, started to move, but it was too late.

/Splurge!/

The third bandit, the one that was trying to rape the girl was impaled in the back with a knife!

"ARG! BASTARD!"

He got up from the ground with his pants down as he swung his sword sideways with a small spin, cutting Robert's chest and sending him a few meters flying.

"ARG! IT HURTS… It…"

'I can see now why people call for their moms in these situations… I also want my mom…'

They might be mere bandits, but their strength was far from that of a malnourished 16-year-old village boy…

While Robert fell to the ground, the bandits laughed at the guy who was stabbed while someone else went in to continue the job on the girl…

"Lei Bei! Please!... Help!"

The panicked girl couldn't believe what had happened, so she just said the only thing she desired the most, it was futile, however…

"..."

Robert's eyes had already gone blank as he stared at the sky, but this wasn't his end…

"I've been waiting for it… For far too long."

A deep and majestic voice echoed inside Robert's head before his soul was sucked elsewhere…

Robert regained consciousness inside a dark cave, and the moment he did so, he thought for a while before he smiled.

But he acted confused before he went for a massive door…

Floating in the air, he touched the double doors and they slowly opened, and as they did so, it revealed a pair of green eyes staring at him from the darkness.

The massive size of the creature bound by chains made Robert generally scared, so much so he actually started to fly away instinctively…

"Wh-What A-Are you?!" He exclaimed

He knew what it was, but what he said were his genuine emotions, the emotions of someone that was confused about stabbing someone for the first time, and almost dying for the first time as well.

"Me? I am a Black Dragon, can't you see that?"

"..."

But Robert couldn't be more confused, since the creature in front of him looked like a giant black Turtle.

"I AM NOT A TURTLE! DO NOT COMPARE ME WITH THOSE INFERIOR DRAGON TURTLES!" Exclaimed the dragon in anger

"This was all because of these chains! I've lost so much power that I can't even maintain my true form and I had to degrees towards a lower form to preserve power!"

But it calmed down, saying:

"We can talk about this later… Whatever I am, it doesn't matter right now."

"For me, you are currently a once-in-a-century opportunity! So I'll never let you die so easily!"

"..."

'So this is it, he must be controlling my body to kill the bandits…'

"Very sharp of you, indeed, I am controlling your body, do not fret as this will be a one-time thing. I barely have enough power left, and… Cut me some slack, I've been trapped here for so long, I just wanted to move around a bit. Blow up some steam."

Robert wanted to think about the characters from the Novel, but he knew that in this place the Black Dragon could hear his thoughts, so he kept his mind shut, but he said:

"There isn't enough time, so listen to me carefully."

The turtle raised its claw and touched his forehead with immense precision, lightning exploded and created waves in the air as some sort of energy rushed into his body.

"Kid, the black mark on your chest is a curse placed by a powerful Cultivator that affects all descendants of the Lei Family."

"The fact you awakened me means you found the way to break this damned curse… By stimulating the spiritual power and absorbing it by uniting with a Cultivator of the opposite sex."

"The black mark may have disappeared for now, however, it will appear again soon."

As he said that the lighting in the air gathered towards Robert's forehead and a red bead formed above his eyebrows.

"This is the last of my power. If you don't want to die, make good use of it and become a Cultivator as soon as possible. So that you can get stronger and get more girls…"

His words started to grow faint but he heard one last thing before he lost consciousness:

"Until you reach the top of the cultivator world."

/Several hours later…/

"HAAA!"

Robert woke up in a nice bed as the morning sun shone on his face.

He looked around at the shabby yet orderly wooden furniture and smiled widely.

"I did it."

'I survived, I talked with the Black Dragon, and I think I did well enough for it to not realize that something was wrong.'

'The Black Dragon is not an evil being by nature, although it has some evil schemes. Long ago, when the Lei Family ancestor was cursed, it used to be its partner and spiritual beast.'

'It offered to seal itself in order to contain part of the curse since it didn't affect it due to the Black Dragon's nature of being immune to curses, but as time passed, it grew resentful of the master that never came back for it.'

'When in truth, the master is barely hanging on every day…'

'For the poor Mc, this ends up becoming a terrible plot that would cause him great trouble, I have no plans to fall into it though.'

'As for how… I will have to figure that out…'

As Robert got up from the bed and felt his body soreness, he noticed a letter on his hand.

"I see, so in the end, she left… This time, I'll try my best to not let you suffer much."

'Not because I like her per se, but mostly because everything matches together.'

'As you would've expected from a Martial arts novel, the plot is pretty simple, you fight bandits, then someone stronger, and stronger, his dad, grandfather, ancestor… And so on.'

"Once I get into the Qinguan Sect… Or whatever its name was, I will fall into the plot of the Iguinio Sect, the one she will eventually join."

'A secret plot to engulf the Qinguan Sect in a secret and fast way. As to not disturb the higher authorities of these lands.'

'Since I need the Qinguan sect to grow stronger, I'll inevitably be dragged into this as I grow stronger, and as such, I'll have to meet her again, just this time, I'll prevent her from being raped. Sounds good right?'

'This is got for me... Me...'

"But in any case… This is it, leaving that door, my adventure will start…"

'Who I want to be, and what do I want to achieve… I can't continue to think and see things via my old common sense… It will take a while, but I will adapt.'

Interestingly enough, this method of Cultivation isn't the only one available, as there are at least 3 others that are different enough to be put into their own system, that Lei Bei can record, however, without a technique, they are useless.

As Lei Bei stared at the corpses, strings of numbers quickly passed through his eyes, and soon, words formed in the air organized like that of a system.

Lei Bei clenched his fist in happiness, he got it! The fucking cheat!

The first thing he did after that was check his Cultivation Level and rush to the corpses and see if he can find a weapon…

She also had a red diamond mark on her forehead. As for her clothes, it was hard to describe, she was holding a blue spear and high heels, her clothes were a mix of white and blue and they were standard cultivator clothes, just a lot fancier deeming her position.

She had this carefree aura around her, and she didn't seem intent on killing him at all, although she might not even put him in her eyes.
