Scott's POV
I opened my eyes as the sun seemed to shine brightly into the room. I opened my eyes in frustration and sat up on the floor. Looking around for Zoe, I noticed she wasn't in the tent.
It dawned on me that she was in the Fighter's tent, it wasn't easy sleeping without her. Everywhere felt empty. I slowly got up and yawned.
"You look tired." Jake said and handed me a liquid substance in a small molded bowl.
I frowned and looked at him. "What's this?" I asked.
"It's a medicinal drink, I found it here on Earth and it seems to give energy." He answered.
I chuckled. "How am I sure this isn't poison?" I asked and gulped down it's contents.
"You know I'll never poison you, we're friends." He answered.
I spat some of the greenish content on the ground and looked at him with an angry expression. "This is really bitter, you didn't even tell me." I told him while he laughed.
"You're lonely already, don't tell me you're missing your girlfriend." He mocked.
"I just hate you." I joked.
"I love you too." He replied and we laughing.
"You've missed Zoe a lot." He said.
I scoffed. "Let her come back and stay in this tent, it's actually frustrating that I can't do without her." I pleaded.
He frowned and raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Are you actually in love with her?" He asked.
"I love her." I answered and walked outside, he followed me outside and smacked my ass, I jumped up in fright and he laughed at me. Some Islanders who saw what happened also laughed.
I was embarrassed. I saw Zoe talking with Noah and Liam, I walked up to them and placed my hands around Zoe's shoulder. "Good morning, sunshine." I greeted with a smile.
She let out a slight chuckle. "Morning," she simply replied and turned to them. "So you guys should clean the guns, we'll go into the forest soon." She gave the orders and they nodded.
"Hey Buddy." Noah said and tickled me, I laughed unexpectedly and shifted back.
"You're one of a kind." I muttered.
"I bet you couldn't sleep without Zoe by your side." Liam said and we chuckled.
"I actually slept but I was lonely." I replied and leaned on a tree.
Noah and Liam walked away giggling. "Those two, I wonder what's it with them." I said and Zoe turned around and smiled at me.
I planted a kiss on her forehead. "I'll be going for sightseeing, wish me good luck."
"It's not sight seeing, you're exposing yourself to danger, what if there's actually something out there in those woods."
"Well, that's up to me to find out." She replied, a smile plastered on her face.
I touched her face, my finger brushed at her curls before sliding down her cheek. She removed my hands and frowned at me.
She probably wanted an apology for last night. It wasn't my fault, everyone was having fun and I also wanted to have fun. "Fine, I'm sorry about last night, I wasn't drunk. I just wanted to explore." I apologized.
"I don't want us to rush things."
"Zoe," I called, it was barely more than a whisper. "You're not showing me that you love me." I added, regretting what I said immediately I told her.
She scoffed. "Really? I can't believe this." She said and walked into the forest picking her gun.
"Zoe..... Zoe..." I called out but she didn't answer me.
I groaned in frustration and walked back into the camp. Noah approached me, "Your girlfriend seemed pissed off, what did you tell her?" He asked.
I sighed. "Not everything is part of your business." I replied, rudely and started walking back to my tent.
"Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't know you'd be annoyed." He shouted behind me but I didn't answer him. I walked into the tent with a frown.
"You caused all these." I said, approaching Jake as I pushed him to the ground, he rolled over and kicked my legs.
He spat on the ground. "You need to calm down, Scott."
Alexa walked in and wrapped her hands around my waist. She wasn't drunk this time, she definitely knew what she was doing.
I release myself from her grip as I turned to look at her. "He has a girlfriend who is your best friend." Jake reminded her.
Walking out of the tent, I sat down on the wood as silence hung in the air.
Lisa's POV
I was annoyed that Scott didn't respect my decision. I picked up a flower and inhaled the sharp smell, I smiled and dropped it to the floor. I held my gun firmly in my hands.
"Hey, wait up." Liam called out and I turned back. He and Noah were running towards me. They came over me and Noah grabbed my bag. "So what are you doing with a bag?" He asked.
I chuckled and let out a grin "I'm just making sure we're safe." I answered.
"Tracy didn't want to walk fast, I had to leave her." Matteo said as he walked towards us.
I ignored him, he was rude to me. I didn't want to have anything to do with him. "Zoe carried a bag." Liam mocked, telling me.
I punched his arms embarrassed. "Zoe," Matteo called out. "I'm sorry, I didn't know Jake had other intentions." He apologized.
Of course, Jake didn't tell them of his plans to divide us, he wanted to be the commander for his selfish interests.
"We should be on our going." I told them and we started walking.
"I found a stream, we should go there."
"It's dangerous." I replied.
"Please, let's go there, I haven't swam in a way, Mars is just like Earth but for me, Earth is beautiful." Liam begged.
"Fine, we can go there." I replied, giving up. Matteo took off his leather jacket and handed it to me. I looked up, confused. "Huh?"
"You should wear it." He advised, voice pillow soft.
I nodded and looked at him again before tugging on the jacket. "I'll lead the way." He announced and started walking past the trees.
I didn't want to be left alone, I looked back, I could see Tracy far behind us but she was still walking slowly.
I followed the guys, it was better to be in groups than be alone walking in a silent forest.
