HIDDEN MEMORIES

"It was you, Margaux." His lips twitched as anger overflowed his eyes.

"The witch who cursed me three hundred years ago was you."

April stilled, gobsmacked by what he had just said. 'She? She was a witch? She cursed him three hundred years ago?' She snickered as she found it hard to believe. Was this demon messing with her? Did he actually expect her to believe him? She had not even dealt with him being a demon and now what? She was a witch?

"You don't believe me?"

"Who would believe the gibberish you just said?"

Another long pause of silence followed, his gaze stayed glued on April that she felt like the demon was slowly seeing through her deepest soul, as though the gods bestowed on him the power to examine every human's deepest secrets.

April's heart skipped when she saw him rise from his seat, walking closer to her. Each step he took caused her heart to pound faster. She would be lying if she said she wasn't scared of him, she was really scared of him even when he wasn't in his demon form. Knowing that her life was in his hands and that he could kill her anytime soon made her panic as he took the last step closing the distance between them. She didn't know why she subconsciously stopped breathing after stealing a glance to look at his face. Those grey orbs of his were stunningly beautiful. It was not as if it was the first time she had seen someone with those similarly hued eyes as his but why was it that his eyes looked somewhat different to her? Up close, they looked....they looked hauntingly ethereal as if promising both hell and heaven all at once. She knew this wasn't the right time for this but she couldn't help but admire those grey orbs.

April's eyes widened when the man grabbed her shoulder and pulled down her blouse revealing her bare right arm. "W...w....what are you doing?"

"That mark, i was the one who gave you that mark." He said pointing at the birth mark on her right arm. "My sword pierced through your skin leaving this scar. I stabbed you in the arm three hundred years ago and you said it yourself that you would be reborn with the mark i gave you." He paused as he looked down. "I waited, i waited for three hundred years for you to be finally reborn so that i could take my revenge on you." He spoke in an infuriating slow manner as he raised his head, glaring at her, giving her a look filled with nothing but pure hatred.

Merely staring at his face, April could see how much he abhored, detested and loathed her and he was barely trying to control himself from killing her. April swallowed, she tried to look away but the man cupped her cheeks with one hand.

"If only you know how i planned on killing you, if only you know how i planned on inflicting severe pain on you till you beg for death. I'm going to make you pay for what you did, those lives you inflicted pain on, those lives you took, I'm going to pay them back to you in ten folds so if you love yourself and the people around you, you better try to remember those hidden memories of your past."

Right after he said those words with so much hatred blazing in his eyes, he immediately let go of her cheek stumbling back as if he had just seen something he wasn't suppose to see in her. And before April could process his new reaction, he instantly went back to his usual cold look as though he hadn't looked shocked some seconds ago before walking out of the dungeon.

His words sank in her mind as she looked at the birth mark on her right arm which had been a mystery to herself and her family because it wasn't looking like a birth mark, it was a scar, a deep scar from a wound. She was surprised at how he knew about her birth mark, she had always hidden it from people. The only people who were aware of this mark were her family and her best friend Mandy. If everything he had just said were true, does that mean she was really a witch in her past life? An evil witch at that.

Many thought clouded her head, if she was really a witch then why was she reborn as a human? Did that mean her life had been messed up all because of the evil deeds she had done in the past? The bad energy around her were actually Karma? Although April hadn't fully believe everything he said, but if everything he said were true then she would really want to remember those hidden memories from her past.
