Chapter 124
I knew that our seating arrangement made Maya a bit uncomfortable since the two of us were staring at her, especially Emily. However, I wanted to have a proper look at Maya when I talk with her. Since it would be our first time having a proper face-to-face conversation in six months.
While we were waiting for our order to arrive, I decided to tell Maya what had been bothering me.
The fact that I broke up with Diego. I know at some point she would ask me about Diego, I wanted to tell her I broke up with him before she ask me anything relating to him, I don't want her to think I am keeping secrets from her even though we are best friends.
With a soft face, I looked directly at Maya.
"Do not panic at what I am about to say," Maya's eyes immediately met mine with an intense glare.
"I have quit my job with Diego. Also, I have broken up with him. No need to worry about anything, it's been a month since we broke up. Thanks to Emily, I am doing great."
