Chapter 124
Emily's grip on my body became tighter as we hugged.
"Janna, don't ever feel like you are alone because I will always be there for you. Our relationship might have only started a month ago but our bond is stronger than anything I know."
As I cried over and over, hearing Emily's words made me really happy. Emily stayed there with me until dinner time, my mum stopped her and convinced her to stay and have dinner with us.
That day, Emily ate dinner with us before she went back to her car and drove to her apartment.
It was hearty meal of jollof rice, chicken stew, and salad. It was a simple but satisfying Dinner that helped to comfort me.
I never told Emily I was not getting any share of the money she gave to Diego, I hid that from her because I wanted our relationship to be based on care for one another rather than material benefits.
