There were plenty of hiding places, especially in a ruined environment like this. Moreover, its speed was as slow as molasses, which shattered not only my confidence but also the chances of my plan's success.

I hid in a location where the wrecked cars served as protection, leaving one side of it for my escape route. I lifted my pair of new daggers; they spun along with my mana and then shot towards the creature.

"Now, separate both of you..."

I began to manipulate both of them separately, although it wasn't my first time, it still felt a little tough for some reason.

"Maybe it's because of my rank up or since the daggers are of higher rank, I may have felt it's difficult..."

The first dagger was flung apart by its defenses, the second dagger made it past its defenses successfully, but it landed on the creature's bone, which didn't yield much result.
