I still watched as their bodies collided, melting together, moulding into each other, moving in rhythms. But why was he watching me? Not for a second, his eyes flickered or left mine. Not even when he bit into her neck and sucked her blood. He still watched me and I did him, unwavering and unmoving as if we had been frozen in time. Treia left as he asked her to, giving me another unpleasant look as she walked past me. But, I was too engrossed in watching him as he had instructed me, I wouldn't look away because that's what he had asked me to do. When did I become so benign? Well, it was all for my mission, that's what I kept telling myself. Was that true though? Did I not feel even a single bit of pull toward this gorgeous entity in front of me? "Did you enjoy the show?" Assault

(Trigger Warning: Chapter contains content which might be triggering for sensitive viewers. It contains assault and can be disheartening for some readers.)

His strong and rough hands grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside the room. I tried to yank myself free but the tray in my hand made the task impossible. Another pair of hands took the tray from me, it was a female. The same female I saw in that olive green dress at the party.

"My my, what do we have here?" She exclaimed with excitement, her hunger evident from her face and the way she moved her tongue over her voluptuous lips. She was breathtakingly beautiful and despite the danger, I had landed myself in I couldn't peel my eyes off her.

"Seems like the information was right," the male who had a rugged look about him spoke. There was a tattoo peeking out of his shirt and crawling up to his neck while a red earring dangled from his ear. There was something familiar about his face as he watched me intently.

"Who are you, people? What do you want with me?" I yelled at them.

"Isn't it obvious darling? We want your blood." The girl replied with a chuckle.

From the looks of it, I was their prey and they wanted to drain me of my blood. I had no weapons on me and it would be difficult to take them on empty-handed. But no way was I going to let them drain me. My body was pumping adrenaline and I was ready to face them.

"She is prettier than I had imagined her to be and she smells heavenly. I have never smelt something so intoxicating. No wonder Xiran was keeping her hidden." The female circled me trying to play with my hair while the male watched me from a distance of a few feet.

She moved promptly toward me with her fangs bare and I punched her right in the nose. The impact should have knocked her down but she was way strong, her nose began to bleed but she didn't move back an inch. The look of bewilderment on her face revealed that she wasn't expecting me to punch her.

"Damn you, seems like we have a feisty one at our hands." She watched me like a lioness, ready to pounce again.

A strong pair of hands yanked my hair and pulled my beanie off. "You dared hit my girlfriend," his voice was threatening and it almost filled my heart with despair. A sharp slap hit my face like a bullet, the impact alone knocked the air out of me. I coughed up some blood, trying to breathe.

I tried to jerk free of his hold but he was way stronger. I kicked him in his private area and wrestled myself away from him, leaving a handful of my hair in his iron grip. He bent over from pain as I scanned the room to use something as a weapon and grabbed the jug I had brought, using full force I smacked it against his head. The collision resulted in blood splattering all over him with glass pieces piercing his head and face. But even after my all-out attacks, he seemed unfazed. How strong was he? His eyes had a menacing cold look as he wiped his face with his hand. The blood dripped from his face and hair, giving him a bizarre persona.

"Now, now looks like this one won't submit that easily." Sohlia moved forward and I tried to stab her with the glass handle of the jug remaining in my hand. She stopped me in midair while he grabbed my hair again and pulled them hard bringing me to my knees, and kicking me repeatedly in my stomach. I bent over in pain and coughed more blood. A blinding pain seared through my body at their merciless assaults. I had fought numerous vampires but I was always properly suited up and carried weapons. Besides these two were leagues ahead of other vampires I had hunted.

With as much force as I could muster, I tried to punch his face again. My blow landed on his jaw and I felt like I had hit a boulder. My knuckles seemed to have cracked from the impact. He seemed unfazed by my blow, his eyes focusing on my ears. I rubbed my broken hand.

"Sohlia, she is an elf." His eyes held a resonating shock. "No wonder she smells like that and Xiran never let a whisper escape about her existence. How did he get his hands on her?" Meanwhile, Sohlia grabbed both my hands and pinned them behind my back. I writhed and kicked trying to get myself free from their clutches. My kicks did not affect them, they were too occupied in thoughts of drinking my blood.

The man tore open my shirt, revealing my neck and shoulders to him. I shuddered as he traced his filthy finger on my neck. His iron-clad grip on my hair tightened as he exposed my neck to his sharp canines. I wriggled with all my force, not focusing on the pain they were causing me. My face contorted in the hatred and disgust I felt for them.

"Let go of me you morons, he is going to kill you for this." I threatened them, but this only made them squeal in laughter.

"You really believe he would kill his own brother over a lousy girl? Well, he may get a bit mad, but he will get over it." The revelation shocked me to my core, this man was Xiran's brother. He was the polar opposite of him, there was no warmth in this man, not in his words, not on his face, not in his touch, even his eyes were dead and lifeless.

"She is delusional," his girlfriend laughed at me as she pierced her nails into my wrists and kicked me repeatedly. I wanted to scream in pain but I didn't want to give them the satisfaction. She dug her canines into my wrists while he plunged them into my neck, his other hand digging into my shoulder as they both drained me of my blood. They relished in my pain as I fought for my life.

There was nothing gentle about their touches, it was plain barbaric and painful. At that moment I realized how gentle Xiran was and how delusional I had been. Thinking that I could handle strong vampires with my bare hands. I had never faced such strong vampires before, the blows I had landed should have been enough to knock them out but it didn't affect them in the slightest. The pain was excruciating as I felt my body going limp, I was losing consciousness. I could feel the dissipation of energy, I was losing control. Was this the end for me? I felt so weak at that moment. His beautiful face flashed across my eyes and tears, lonely tears began to spill one after the other. The pain, humiliation and revulsion finally made me scream.

"Xiran... where are you?"
