Take Over? *
The room was dim with the flickering light of a small lantern being the source of light, casting shadows on the walls.
Xu Qi lay between Ling Lian and Xiao Yue who clung to him protectively as if afraid that he'd be pulled away from them. Both women had formed a tacit agreement to monopolize his presence for the night, leaving Chiyan and Li Na who had no idea what was happening on the other side of the room.
"Xu Qi…" Ling Lian's voice was soft and was almost a whisper. Her fingers gently traced circles on his arm. "Hold me."
Xu Qi turned his head slightly to meet her gaze and nodded, his arm that she had been using as her pillow hooked around her waist, pulling her close to him until she was lying against his chest.
On his other side, Xiao Yue tightened her hold on his other arm, her face partially buried in his shoulder. "This is only your first trip outside the sect but you've managed to create a storm, Xu Qi. Are you a magnet for trouble?"
