A princess in captivity

But that girl, she was just wow.

The girl sitting on the bed was just as beautiful as Aria, if not more. But their beauties were of a different kind.

Aria's beauty was a happy and wild one. Her golden hair and bright face would attract anyone towards her and would make the person want to see if she was real or just an angel.

This girl, on the other hand, with her platinum blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, was undoubtedly beautiful, but her beauty, seemed like it was sad.

If Aria was an angel that people could only look upto to but never catch, this girl looked like a fallen angel, a princess in captivity. Her face did not have the usual brightness and looked sad. Even when she smiled, that smile would pierce people's heart. They would feel happy and sad at the same time.

The girl smiled at Aria and said, "I take it you're a student."

Aria walked over with the tray. She said, "Yeah."

The girl asked, "What happened to Aunt Eva?"

Aria: "If you're asking about the woman who delivers your food, she fell and sprained her ankle."

The girl looked sad, "It must have hurt."

Aria placed the tray on the table and said, "Yeah. I took her to the recovery ward before I came over with your dinner."

The girl smiled at Aria and said, "You're kind."

Aria was a little taken aback. This was what her mom had told her, to be kind. And someone she did not know had just indirectly told her that Aria had been true to what she had promised.

Aria scratched her nose and said, "Not at all. Actually...." But her voice trailed off thinking about what happened in the dining hall.

The girl looked at Aria curiously, "What?"

Aria sighed. The whole school would anyway know, as everyone was there. There was no reason for her to hide it. She said, "I just yelled at three people in the dining hall. Bad one of them happened to be my best friend."

The girl said, "Really? Something must have definitely happened. You don't strike to me as someone who would cause a fuss without any reason."

Aria was embarrassed as she said, "I...umm...I should go." And she headed for the door.

But the girl's voice from behind stopped her, "Will you keep me company? I'm rather lonely here."

Aria stopped in her tracks and returned towards the bed. She sat on a chair and said, "Sure."

As the girl smiled, a question suddenly popped up in Aria's mind. She said, "Umm...if you don't mind. Can I ask you something?"

The girl nodded.

Aria: "Why do you have dinner here? I heard the whole academy is really safe and you don't need to be afraid of someone attacking you."

Aria assumed that the reason the girl was eating here was because she was forced to. Because she said that she was lonely. So the only conclusion Aria came to was that the girl was usually targetted and her parents were worried.

The girl smiled and said, "No one will attack me. I eat here because it's not really convenient or easy for me to go in a hall full of people. I bump into them and usually end up getting hurt."
