"Sir Zehell, when are you going to let Flynn go? A few days ago, Merylin was wondering about Flynn's whereabouts."
Zehell did not answer Niken's question at all and only gave a brief head shake.
"I can't free him. Once the slave emblem is removed from his body, he will become a wild daemon who hunts the human's soul. He wouldn't stop as long as he wasn't killed. Besides, he's dying. Sooner or later, I have to kill him."
"You can't do it. How could you do it?"
"Niken, it would be better if you didn't tell the princess about Flynn's condition. Not knowing sometimes is better than knowing it. Let the princess think Flynn lives somewhere than she knows Flynn's life is like living in hell for hundreds of years."
"But…"
"Niken, that's the best." interrupted Zehell firmly without being refuted.
Niken lowered her head felt helpless to hear the stern answer from the man. Her heart ached, realizing she couldn't save Flynn from his misery.
