Mathias looks down at the unconscious Nica and frowns, surely this person wasn't powerful enough to subdue and capture Tyrael? Plus, he wasn't liking the look of this ritual circle. He uses his staff to draw a line through it, ruining whatever format and function it had previously had. If they attempted to activate it now it'd likely short-out, or overload and explode.
Bartosz walks over and pats Mathias on the shoulder, "Good work, now lets get the kids off of that circle, never know what kinda shit can happen with magic ya'know?" he says, picking up the first child and moving them a couple meters away.
Mathias nods and starts moving the children, afterwards dragging Tyrael to safety and checking him over... The man still wore gold armour under robes, it seemed that he hadn't changed them since Adria's betrayal. Additionally, he noted that El'druin didn't seem to be anywhere in sight, something that raises alarms in his head due to how powerful the weapon actually was...
After a couple minutes of futilely trying to awaken Tyrael, a familiar turquoise portal opened up nearby. Bartosz and Mathias were immediately on guard, but as soon as the former saw who'd stepped through he was on his knee...
Two people had stepped through, the first clad in gold armour-plated grey robes and a gold crown, blonde hair, golden eyes and a noble face. On his hip he wore a gold sword sitting within a luxurious looking black sheath decorated with gold inscriptions.
The second was a tall woman with white hair, green slitted eyes, and strange horns protruding from her forehead... Mathias noted a fluffy tail extending from her tailbone slowly swing side to side, he also couldn't help his eyes being drawn towards the woman bust due to how large they were, even under the scaled gold dress she was wearing. She rested her weight on a huge scythe that projected an ominous and dreadful feeling to Mathias.
The man sends a wide smile at them, "Jolly! Well done, you did the job most expediantly!" he exclaims happily with the woman beside him nodding.
Mathias "Erm... Sorry, but who are you?" he asks slightly rudely.
Bartosz gives his leg a slap from his kneeling position and quickly whispers, "Oi, don't talk like that."
The man had clearly head them but shakes his head, "Calm yourself my friend, I'm still the same man you'd played Gwen with in the Chaos Covenant."
Bartosz nods "That may be so, but there's now a way of doing things... Solaire." he says, Mathias immediately recognising the name to belong to one of the Holy Empires important figures.
Solaire "Bah! The only proper way of doing things is through Jolly Cooperation! Rank and position are all superficial." he states, which has Mathias looking at him more respectfully. "And who might we have here?" he asks while returning the look.
Bartosz "Eh? Did you not send him to assist in dealing with this problem?" he says, clearly confused.
Solaire tilts his head to the side, "No... I didn't hear anything of the sort."
Mathias steps forwards to get a handle on the situation before he starts getting accused of something, "Greetings Solaire, I am Mathias. As for why I'm here? I'm an otherworlder who'd been looking for my lost companion, I'd received information from the Arch-Mage that lead me here." he states.
Solaire shrugs, "If you say it, then it must be so."
The woman beside him shakes her head with a frown and walks over, only now revealing she wasn't wearing any footware.
Mathias "Milady, may I learn your name?" he asks as she gets uncomfortably close to him, causing him to back away a few steps.
"Priscilla. Unlike brother, I feel we need more proof of your identity, who know's if you're involved in this plot or not." she states, reaching a hand to his cheek and forcing him to look her in the eyes.
Mathias feels some sort of magic enter his mind, he tries to muster a defence but fails at every corner, nausea hits him and he feels like he's going to vomit, but manages to keep the contents of his stomach while she scans his mind.
After a while Priscilla eventually lets go, glancing at Solaire and nodding, "It seems you're being truthful... Though I'd have rather not seen those extracurricular activities..." she says, afterwards muttering something about a library and a bathhouse, causing Mathias to blush profusely.
Bartosz "So what brings you two here? I can't imagine you arriving almost immediately after we dealt with the problem was a coincidence..."
Solaire chuckles, "Right you are my friend, we were observing the on-goings in order to intervene should the children truly be at risk."
Mathias "Wait, you were watching the entire time? Why did you not deal with the problem yourselves then?" he asks in disbelief.
Priscilla "As Rei would say, we had bigger fish to fry." she states simply, further confusing the mage.
Mathias "Bigger fi-Wait, if that's the case then what're you doing now?"
Solaire grins, "Oh I don't know, perhaps you would enlighten us sister?"
Priscilla nods and taps the but of her scythe on the ground, causing something to appear on the ceiling... Mathias almost immediately recognises it as an anti-observation spell, this is obvious when they're able to see a blind-folded woman scrambling to close the connection on the other side.
Solaire "Lady Phillipa Eilhart, surely you don't think you can escape us?"
The lady on the other side now named Phillipa Eilhart scowls through the connection, "I will never stop! I WON'T BE DENIED!" she shrieks.
Solaire sighs and shrugs, "Do you want to honours sister?"
Priscilla nods and taps the floor with her scythe again, causing the connection to start pulling the Sorceress, she seems shocked by what's happening and tries to escape the suction, but isn't quite able to... Eventually being pulled through and into the Bell Tower where everyone else is.
