New functions and Summons

8 Hours Later

I slowly woke up from the cold stone floor I was laying on and remembered what happened some time ago with my arm being chopped off and fighting to the death with the enemies.

While thinking about it I recalled the newer functions the system said along with the rewards for defeating the 5 Godrick Soldiers.

Yggdrasil: "Hey System, what about the functions you had given me as a reward?"

[Go to your Status bar and on the right side there are 3 new tabs you can touch and you can see for yourself where it changes]

I followed the systems words and indeed saw 3 new tabs on the right side in a column. The first tab had a stand or shop in the middle of the tab. The second one had a wheel in the middle with numbers around it and the last tab had an anvil & Hammer on top of it with sparks around it.

Yggdrasil: "So the first one is a shopping tab to buy items and whatnot right? The Wheel is where I spin it and get something good or bad which depends on luck. The third tab is something I will need for blacksmithing my weapons?"

[Correct, But now you can also upgrade your Armor but the rules still apply with standard equipment and Rarer equipment]

Yggdrasil: "No....This will definitely help me with killing higher leveled enemies with how low my level is currently. Now I can start farming but first I need to upgrade my Uchigatana and duel wield both to increase my damage"

I touched the blacksmith tab which showed me the same screen that of the game when Blacksmithing but few things were added confusing me.

Yggdrasil: "The hell enchantments, runes, gems...?"

[This world has things different from The Lands Between and new things that powers their weapons which will prove difficult once you fight the knights or powerful people who live in this world]

Yggdrasil: "Damn, guess grinding levels will be something I should do first and spend it on Vitality, Stamina, Mind...Max level is 713 which will take me at least a month of nonstop grinding"

[System agrees with host to become more powerful and not slack off if you don't want to get beaten up by the people who live in this new world]

I sighed before looking at the blacksmith screen on e again and touched the inventory slot that had my Uchigatana & Lordsworn's Straight Sword next to it.

As soon as I did touch it, a small screen popped up and said if I wanted to upgrade it to +1. I did so and surprisingly had gotten smithing Stones 1-3 making it so I get the damage up to 175 coupled with a bleeding effect that does 45 and a critical hit of 100 makes it to 320 Damage which I like a lot. Of course I upgraded the other Uchigatana with both know dealing 275 even without critical hit and bleed build up.

Yggdrasil: Now how does the armor work and does it increase any of the 8 Attributes depending on what type of armor it is?

[You are correct host but depending on the armor you receive it can increase 2-4 attributes at the max. If it is s particular set of armor it will give bonuses or special skills only to the set]

Yggdrasil: "Interesting, well enough of that and time to grind some more runes. Also, System can't you change the scene around us into the elden ring places rather than the gloomy coliseum?"

[Yes Host, What type of scenery would you like to fight enemies on now? Depending on the type of enemy is summoned the arena will change according to their size and difficulty]

Yggdrasil: "Then can you summon the Giant Crow?"

[Right away hos- Why do you want to fight the Giant Crow when you are under leveled and with low health, 5 healing flasks, just +3 weapons that deal 550 damage altogether!!! I do not advise host to fight the Giant Crow as it will end your life]

Yggdrasil: "Well easiest enemy to farm runes from and I wish to see if how good my skill is against the enemy"

[I still advise host to not proceed with this decision, but I cannot restrict your freedom or will...I will summon and change the arena suitable to fight the Giant Crow]

Yggdrasil: "Thanks for caring about me but what the hell is there to lose but my life when I had nothing left behind...."

I stopped thinking about it and looked around the arena seeing cracks start to appear everywhere before everything shattered into darkness clouding my visions. I closed my eyes for a moment but a moment was all it took for the entire place to change with the arena becoming a floating island.

There were rocks floating around the arena with the neverending blue sky filled with clouds. I looked in front of me seeing a rotten tree and a Giant Crow right next to it crouching because of it's long legs that still horrify me.

I looked at the Crow before breathing in and out before equipping both +3 Uchigatana's and slowly started walking towards the crow. After coming about 10 meters close to the tree the crow turned it's head around and looked straight at me before Screeching.

SCREECH!!!

Once it screeched It unfolded it's wings before flying up and I steeled myself for the dive it would do with it's two claws. It dived straight at me making me dodge to the left as I heard it slam it's legs into the ground before Screeching once again.

I turned around quickly before swinging both blades directly towards the crows feet and quickly stepped backwards avoiding a stomp from one of it's long legs.

After moving back I started rolling backwards for at least 3 times avoiding the crows beak trying to peck me. I slash my right uchigatana in an arc that had enough room to hit it's head when it tried to peck my head.

Knocking it off it flew up into the air and circled around me before stopping and while flapping it's wings feathers were sent flying towards me quickly barely leaving me time to roll.

Once I saw the feather projectiles I turned around as fast as I could and started running towards the tree and when I was close to the tree three feathers struck me making me yell in pain as I felt something crawling down my body.

Without a seconds moment I gripped the trees bark as hard as I could with my left hand stopping me from running more and to stop getting hit by the feathers.

I took out a flask of Crimson Tears before coughing up chunk of green liquid from my mouth and quickly breathed harshly from the lack of oxygen I had in these short few moments.

I looked upwards and saw the bird rapidly fly up before it started to dive downwards as it started spinning around it's body doing a whirlwind that had a trail of dark mist around it.

I looked up the rotten tree before climbing it with both swords and changing both Uchigatanas into the 2 Lordsworn's Straight Swords which made me grit my teeth and spit out a mouthful of blood with my new injury and strain of holding heavy swords without the necessary Strength to wield.

I looked straight at the Crow and showed a grin before placing both Swords on my shoulders and jumping upwards with all the strength within me to down slam the giant crow.

With both of us close to one another I felt the lower half of my body be ripped open but both swords had cracked the skull of the Giant Crow into two but it had both it's lower legs right through my stomach and immense pain.

With the weight of both swords slamming us both down it dealt additional damage of 450 but it had also been enough force to crack open it's skull letting out it's brain matter fall onto the ground.

I fell to the ground and looked at the claws that are still connected to my body and then back at the Crow that had slowly tried to lift itself up but even when I felt like dying was A better option I gripped both Swords and with remaining strength I swung horizontally in a wide arc managing to cut off both it's legs into halves.

SCREECH!

When it somehow managed to open up it's beak to tear off my head I thrusted both the straight swords through its beak and out of it's shattered skull making blood fall onto me drenching my entire samurai armor into a more blood red color that started to shine brighter.

I started breathing in and out before grabbing another flask of crimson tears and drinking it fully. I screamed inside my mind with the pain of having my organs repair themselves along with realigning themselves back together.

I looked at the dark red sky and marveled at it before looking at the prompt saying "An Enemy Felled" making me smile a bit and then the sound of runes being added to my other runes making myself be at 12,016 runes in total.

Yggdrasil: "Well, now I can level up to level 44 instantly and keep grinding levels. Would be a lot more if I had the Golden Scarab and Golden Pickled fowl foot that stack and give 50% more runes together it would be 16,500 runes every 3 minutes."

Guess time to start farming the Giant Crow until I reach 1.5 million runes even if it takes me an entire day...

[Host, What even are you to even have insane reflexes while not caring much about your own life in which you almost died!]

Yggdrasil: "I don't know either but I will start to place points in my attributes that I know will be needed for getting everything the game has to offer"

[Then would host like to open up the shop function of the system to see prices of Items?]

Yggdrasil: "Why not?"

I opened up my status before touching the stall drawing which changed the screen and showed me new items similar to the vendors but more higher tiered items.

Yggdrasil: This...might as well get a new weapon and go straight to farming the crow as long as I can before going back...

I touched the buy button next to the cost of runes before the system had told me to place my hand towards the weapon I had chosen as the new weapon.

I felt my hand go through the screen but instead of passing through I felt the weapon right on my hand. I gripped the weapon tightly before pulling it out slowly making me smile at this new feeling.

I pulled the Dismounter slowly out of the screen and felt it be heavy but still manageable for my Strength attribute. I changed my status screen to the main status screen and looked at my attributes before recalling some incantations and spells I wish to gain.

Yggdrasil: "The Ancient Dragons Lansseax great Lighting Glaive, Fortissax's Lighting spears, and the Bolt of Gransax are my goals I will strive to get all three"

Yggdrasil: "With the remaining runes I can level up to level 11 but it will be a bit harder now. Might go for Endurance and Mind to increase immunity and FP..."

[Is host ready to allocate points to attributes?]

Yggdrasil: "Yes, place 5 points into Mind, 3 into Endurance, and 3 towards Vigor if you will"

[Allocating 13 Points towards Strength, Endurance, and Vigor.... Allocating.....Points have been allocated towards attributes!]

All of a sudden I fell to my knees and held my chest before taking off my Land of Reeds armor that felt like it was suffocating me with no breathing room.

Yggdrasil: "W-WHAT THE FU- DAMN IT!!!"

I coughed up blood and looked at the bulging veins ready to pop out from my body but after a few more minutes I felt a new type of feeling inside my body and I coughed up even more blood making me grit my teeth in pain.

I looked at my palms that were glowing in a golden light and then at my entire body that seems to glow in different lights but for some reason it made heartbeat sounds every two seconds.

[Host! Because you placed 11 points in 3 different attributes altogether, it is making an influx of energy from the runes going into the 3 base attributes and your body is not accustomed to adding points towards your own body]

Yggdrasil: "TELL...ME *Cough* SOONER!!!"

I kept breathing hard and coughing up blood and this new feeling within makes me want to puke out everything inside.

[Host is advised to go through the pain to feel the power you have received sooner than later and it will be more faster to go through!]

Yggdrasil: "How...long..."

[1 day if you stay awake and hold in the pain you are feeling]

Yggdrasil: "Better be...worth it!!!"

I steeled myself before I moved my body into a more comfortable position slowly even if I felt more pain from just moving my body slowly.

I hope I don't fucking on the first few hours from just leveling up. Looking at my arms again I felt the same sensation as before but way stronger, whatever it was will probably keep happening.

8 Hours Later

From the shining blue lights throughout my body I guess it has something to do with the stronger sensations that I can feel now than before making me feel stronger and tougher?

Even with this new feeling it wasn't finished because what would come next would be excruciating pain that was centered in my mind making every active thought of mine stop on it's tracks.

With most of my motor functions stopping I couldn't hold myself up making me fall face down on the ground before unconsciously raising my hands at my head and holding it tightly.

Yggdrasil: "GOD DAMNIT!!!!! THE PAIN!!!!"

I kept holding my head tightly even when I kept hearing bang in my mind every second that kept hitting something akin that of a strong wall and it kept hitting it nonstop.

And with every bang I felt my veins in my body start to surge and something that started to come down from my brain and spread through my body interwined itself with my veins.

Yggdrasil: "W-WHAT the he-"

I vomited out black blood and the loud banging had stopped for a few seconds giving me false hope that it was over but is was partially as I felt new veins being formed and the strange energy from earlier started to mix in with the new cold like veins.

I grit my teeth and held in the pain of having new veins mixing with my other ones and the coldness within myself. If the other was strength what will the Vigor attribute...

8 Hours Later

Yggdrasil: "How long...has passed...?"

[Host prepare your self to experience death first hand...you will be brought back after the final 8 hours]

Yggdrasil: "Death huh..? Will it involve the heart and body like novels I have read before...?"

[Somewhat similar but this will make you start throwing up black blood that will be the old cells within your body as new ones grow that are stronger and will increase your immunity higher than before]

Yggdrasil: "So will my body be broken down and does it also involve my bones being broken and repaired over and over again..?"

[Yes Host, the most grusome part of allocating points altogether in 3 different attributes at the same time]

Yggdrasil: "Should have told me sooner than now..."

I sighed before steeling my resolve to try to endure the pain for a bit more before I can rest from all this fucking pain...

[Starting now host!]

I took a deep breath and screamed soon after most of my bones started breaking apart throughout my whole body making it so I could not move at all making me fall to the cold ground.

My right arm had bones protruding from my arm with blood spewing everywhere from my body. Both my legs were malformed with it being in the wrong direction and also bleeding everywhere.

Of course that wasn't what really mattered, because my chest had my ribs poking out and around all of my bones golden lights kept appearing and going straight into my bones that had some inscriptions within it which I question it but pain is on my mind.

Looking at the bones petruding from my bloody flesh and thinking about that new refreshing feeling from before I decided to try to move it and surround the bones and into the inscriptions to see what would happen.

One things for sure, I should not have done that but it is helpful in the long run from what I would do at the time. Right now however it made the broken bones become bigger and glowing from within the inscriptions.

I coughed up even more black blood and chunks of dead flesh but it did not stop like other times as I kept coughing up black blood along with chunks of flesh, pieces of broken bones, and flesh that seems to be part of my organs...

Yggdrasil: "Fucking *Cough* I'll get you next time System!!!"

I steeled myself and only saw my bones growing bigger and a slight darker tone than the usual color it was. After every hour I had to spit out more rotten parts of my flesh along with more parts of my organs but it didn't affect me from continuing to breathe or feel hunger.

The pain intensified once more when my heart started to beat faster and growing bigger along with it pumping out black blood and all the veins within myself increasing in size.

At the final hour of the 24 hours of pure pain and madness I suffered, all of my bones that kept being reinforced and wrapped around the blue energy on my bones started to come back inside my body and started to get back into place even with more painful clenching of my teeth when all my bones reconstructed themselves back together.

Who would have thought that Vigor makes all your five senses to be enhanced by two times but it was unfortunate to have it senses because it increased the amount of pain I am now feeling by 2 times more.

Once the whole process finished all around me laid rotten chunks flesh, shards of bone, pieces of organs along with black blood but at least I can move around again. Even my heart kept beating hardly with more vigor than before.

8 Hours Later (24 Hours fully used)

[Host, the effects of you strengthening yourself are being showed and looks like your foundation

Yggdrasil: "Is...it over now...?"

[Yes Host, Everything is now finished but system advices host to rest up for a few more hours with the amount of pain your mind is in. And you have also shattered your first limit]

Yggdrasil: "Alright, then wake me up after 20 hours...I won't ask anything else but rest.."

[Yes Host, congratulations on gaining a stronger body and a magic filled skeleton making your FP higher than it was suppose to be]

I stopped listening to the system and closed my eyes falling asleep with blood around myself and unknowingly the ground opened up and slowly a scrawny hand that ripped open the ground beside me and slowly pointed it's index finger towards my chest before weird chantings we're heard along with dark purple symbols being formed in the air and slowly descending onto my body.

Even when I was asleep, I unconsciously felt the weird symbols wrap themselves around my head and body, but it wasn't a negative thing but something that would show my legitimacy that of an Elden Lord that would rule.

It would come to me later down the time that it was precisely this where I gained a concept and one of the requirements that would help me become an Elden Lord but this will be for a later date in time.

19 Hours Later

[Host, it has been exactly 19 hours since you last told me to let you sleep and 19 hours have passed]

Yggdrasil: "Thank you for waking me up, so will I have to keep on going through this pain whenever I allocate points along with the runes?"

[No, it was this extreme because of your body's previous problems before being given the system. Your lungs and organs were damaged and had a few years left to live but with Endurance and Vitality your entire body had to throw up all the rotten & damaged flesh that was affecting you]

Yggdrasil: "Hmm, well it was an interesting Experience to go through...might as well test out how much stronger I got by killing more crows until I get to level 44..."

(I'm still confused on the way strength scales with a weapon and how much points you have in STR affects or increases the same of the weapon)

(If someone knows please comment and explain, I have bought the game but still do the understand by how much without counting talismans or buffs)

[Summoning Giant Cro-]

Yggdrasil: "Wait! Summon 3 Giant crows at the same time, their attack patterns are easy to recognize but they will move around wildly."

[Eh? No Host! You'll be missing limbs!]

Yggdrasil: "Just do it as payback for not telling me earlier about the pain I would experience"

[What? Why you-! Fine, you better not die!]

Mist appeared from below the tree and three giant crows slowly came out of it and all of them looked straight at me.

I frowned and looked at the tree and crows gathered together that released a foul smell that of a rotting corpse. Seems like Vigor strengthed my five senses.

Yggdrasil: "The smell is way stronger than before, now it is to test my endurance.."

I held my Uchigatana and took a deep breath before exhaling and slowly walking towards the crows. I looked at the two crows who crouched before jumping from the air spreading their black feathered wings and swiftly flapping their wings while looking down at me.

I clenched my left fist before I started to sprint towards the remaining crow who opened it's wings and black feathers starting to move on their own.

Once I was near enough from the crow who was on the ground I jumped avoiding the black colored feather like projectiles from both flying crows in the sky.

Using the sprinting speed before I jumped as a boost of speed I looked at the flying projectiles from the wings of the crow. Luckily enough It was enough distance that made it possible for me to slide once my feet hit the ground.

I grinned looking at the opened beak of the crow before I took out the Dismounter with my left hand and moved it back before swinging it to the right. It hit the crows head leaving a nasty cracking sound from the skull.

I lifted my right arm and stabbed the uchigatana into it's eye socket making it screech loudly into the air and promptly take to sky with an insane speed.

Yggdrasil: "Shut up you horrifying loud legged crow!!!"

I looked at the other two crows before smiling and slamming the Dismounter onto the crows neck making it screech once again and dropping down onto the ground.

I gripped the dismounter tightly before pushing it to the right that somehow made it move to the right and exactly where the other crows were about to come and grab me with their sharp talons.

I gripped the dismounter and ripped it out of the crows spine before moving my arm back, aiming at the incoming crow I was about to collide with and using my new strength I managed to hit the left crows right wing that had halfway ripped through its right wing but stuck in the bleeding wing.

Watching the injured crow screeching while falling down to the ground made me quickly run to the crows back. I jumped from the crowd back onto the other crow before stabbing the uchigatana into it's chest as it screeched.

I looked at it's long feet that were prepared to thrust their sharp talons into my body and skewer it into half. I brought back both my knees before kicking forwards onto the thrusting talons. I hit the crows leg joints stopping the crows talons thrust but I broke both my leg joints from stopping it from thrusting it's talons.

I grabbed a hold of the crows feathers before Pulling on the feathers and swiftly took out the uchigatana from the chest and into the exposed neck of the creature that started bleeding profusely in the chest and neck.

I slowly started to twist the uchigatana slowly even with the loud half screeches it makes with blood and a katana blocking it's neck.

With the injury in it's neck it started to dive downwards intending to kill himself with me. I looked where the last crow was before I brought my other hand onto the other side of the crows neck where the blade was sticking out.

Holding onto both sides I starting to pull myself up before pushing downwards making the blade tear the throat of the crow slowly with every push.

The ground came up faster than expected but it was nearly enough before I pushed myself up one last time before pulling myself down completely decapitating the crows head from it's body.

After cutting through its neck I held my uchigatana and looked at the dot on the ground that kept getting bigger the closer I came to the ground making me think about doing something that will for sure kill me.

Yggdrasil: "Hope you miss me you fucking crow!!!"

The crow looked upwards and with it's good wing had thrown feather projectiles that made me sigh in stupidity in before taking on the painful strikes of flesh-tearing projectiles.

I held on almost like Sky diving that I wished to do back before I died and looks like now I can do it in my this new life of mine. I aimed towards the crows head that had kept looking up at me coming in at fast speeds.

When I was near enough I took out my other uchigatana and looked at the open mouth of the crow before rethinking my life decisions up to this point.

Yggdrasil: "Fuck it! New life, New me!!!"

I repositioned myself before crossing my arms like a mummy and shortly after I was in ground level I went through the crows mouth as it closed it's mouth but I used all the strength within me to stab both Uchigatanas into the flesh of the crow that started bleeding and somehow cutting the stomach of the crow with every slash.

I suddenly felt the crow fall down completely with how many slashes I did to it's insides that the other organs were torn up. I stabbed one of the uchigatanas downwards before slicing to the left as I breathed in and out looking at what I just did along with my bloody armor.

I sighed before putting both weapons in the inventory out of the crows body which is disgusting and never doing this again unless it is a dragon.

I crouched before pulling apart the cut off flesh that teared through its body and after I got out from the stomach of the Crow the crow turned in black mist along with its body parts scattered along the ground.

I looked around before looking at the land around the tree that isn't a lot but it's whatever. I looked up in the air and saw the clear red sky with a red moon up in the air. I then remembered what happened to my kneecaps and how bloody they were with bones protruding out from my flesh.

[Host, for the sake of my imaginary heart use a Flask of Crimson Tears to fix your kneecaps that are broken along with your arms that are overused! And how can you still walk with broken kneecaps that should have made you immobile!!!]

Yggdrasil: "I was going to do so already, and I don't know how I could even walk after all that myself..."

I took out another Flask of crimson Tears and drank the red blood liquid that made me feel rejuvenated and power coursing through my veins.

I just sat down and saw my busted kneecaps rebuilding itself with flesh and blood being created anew.

Yggdrasil:Why do I feel more strength even with the upgrade..? Is this an effect of a high adrenaline rush?"

I sighed before looking through the rewards and seeing that I made about 33,000+ Runes with each Giant Crow giving 11,000 each after their death. I think the one of them died by blood loss or something after I hit them enough.

[For Spirit Ashes you can say "Spirits of the Godrick Soldiers, I call upon thee to my service!" and you shall summon the Spirit Ashes. For the Radahn Knight's you might need to fight them to prove your worthy of being their new master whom they shall be in service to]

(I will use the same descriptions like some incantations do that say the name and then the power happens)

Yggdrasil: "Hmm, it is interesting to say that the Radahn Knight's would challenge me but I guess it makes since because Radahn is a powerhouse and a great General. And fighting the Radahn Knight's sounds fun to me as I want something better to fight other than crows and Godrick soldiers"

Yggdrasil: "Why not? So how do I call them?"

[Well originally it was suppose to be "I order the Wardens of Caelid to come into my service" but because of you trying to duel against them it became "Wardens of Caelid, let us have a duel so you can prove my worth of leading the Knights of Radahn!" So will you fight them now?]

Fuck it! I want to test their ability with my own hands but their grade increased because they are direct Knights of General Radahn who were given Honorary Titles for their service.

Yggdrasil: " *Sigh* Wardens of Great Caelid! I wish to have a duel with all five of you to prove my worth to lead all five of the Knights!"

Once I said so the area around me changed once again into the battleground of Caelid with red sky and castles in the distance. I looked at the red and blue circles forming on the ground in front of me before red dust shroud d the area and about five seconds it disappeared and now there were Five tall figured armored head to toe with the Red mane Knight Set.

The knights on the left had partisans over their shoulders with capes draped behind them.

The ones to the right had a Redmane Greatshield and a Knights Greatsword and the one in the middle seeming their leader, had a Knights Greatsword and a Longbow laying on It's back along with a weird red glow around his entire body that feels violent.

???: "So you are the one who wanted to prove himself on leading us Wardens of Great General Radahn?"

Yggdrasil: "Yes that is me, I also wanted to test the skills of the Wardens of Caelid who serve General Radahn before he was corrupted with the Scarlet Rot..."

???: "Although it was a bloody fight with no one winning at first but it ended with a draw that affected Lady Malenia and our General Radahn"

???: "The Clean Rot knights and Finlay where tough enemies to fight against but we had Commander Ogha on our side said to be one of General Radahn's longest subordinates and studied gravitational magic alongside him..."

Yggdrassil: "Is that so…?"

???: "Those were the days of war along with killing off armies from other regions like The Cleanrot Knights"

Yggdrasil: "That sounds fun! But should we get to out fight now?"

???: "Hah, you sure you can handle all of us five especially a Captain level like myself together"

Yggdrasil:" Yeah, I need to prove myself to be someone worth following, so this is the solution I came up with to show you all"

???: "Hah! Then prepare yourself for a worthy death for a warrior like you!"

Looking at all of them I grinned before taking out my uchigatana on my right hand and dismounter that I placed over my left shoulder suddenly getting exited about this upcoming fight.
