"You were not my child," my father bellowed with a painful expression. I could see tears streaming down his face, he looked creamy and infirm. "But I love you more than you could ever have imagined, you are the best son I have ever had."
"Tell me you are joking dad," I yelled in pain as tears overflowed from my eyes freely. "Tell me it is just a prank, tell me it is a dream. I don't want to believe all this shit, it is a lie." My voice comes out in a loud growl that echoes all over the field. "Why would you obscure such a secret from me? Why will you relinquish your life for me if I am not your son? How could I become an Alpha if we aren't related by blood?" I bombarded him with different questions at once. I couldn't believe it, the person I grew up to know and called a daddy isn't my father. Imagine how painful it would be, how devastated your heart would be. "Then how come Franni is my elder sister?" I let out a small chuckle. "I know you are joking. If not, how would you decipher the link between me and Franni when we are not related in any way. Father, I know this is a caricature. Please, return me to undead land. I need to free seer argon, my omega and beta needed my help; all the packs are waiting for me." I yelled at him in frustration.
"Calm down, son" he bellowed in an easy but melancholy tone. "I know how you are feeling, but this is part of your fate. It is destiny to happen. If I had told you earlier, you would have found a way to manipulate everything, and Time could trap me here in Avalon just like she did to seer argon."
"Now, tell me. What exactly are you navigating at?" I growled impatiently.
"You are destined for 7 quests which you must fulfill or else there would be chaos."
"What are you talking about?" I inquired. "First tell me, how did you even find me and who is my biological mother?"
"I don't know your mother either, Rey." He elucidated. "Before I meet Franni's mother, I am alone as an Alpha wolf. My father banished me from the pack because they thought my power was forbidden." He paused and sniffed in his tears. I don't even know what is special about my father's ability. He is a hybrid with the ability to control all elements. I also inherited all my power from him, that is part of why I am still finding it difficult to believe the gibberish he is uttering. I moved away from him and sat on the bench where he was sitting earlier when I just appeared. After the undead sword magically glued to my hand like a magnet, I felt an immersive power coursing through my veins and a bright light engulfed me immediately which blinded everybody nearby. I felt my eyelids closing on their own and before I could make another movement, I found myself here in this strange place. Not knowing what else to do, I started following my instincts and inaugurated scrambling toward the East Bay. I hadn't covered up to 50 yards when I heard my father's voice calling out to me. At first, I thought it was a trick, but when I discovered that I had no other choice. I started delineating the voice before I eventually met him, sitting on a bench with his head bent. The sword of undead is still in my hand, I hold it firmly and move closer to him. To my surprise, he is the one. Looking pale and unhealthy, I can even touch him which kind of makes me happy. I wanted to start asking him how it was possible and where I was when he started the story himself. But everything went wrong when he said that he is not my biological father.
"I was wandering around when I found Franni's mother exposed and curling up in a small bush, she was wrapping her garment around you so you couldn't freeze to death while her body was also taking the cold for you as a shield." His voice jolted me out of my thoughts. "I felt compassion for her and that left me no choice but to help her since I was also a wanderer. I took her in, and we started living in the same hut I built using palm tree leaves. We hunt, farm, and do many things together that I couldn't even remember. 250+ years later, I discovered that you weren't growing like a normal human nor like a supernatural being. So I interrogated her about what happened and how she ended up in the jungle. She explained everything to me, including how she was being abused by one of the gods, how she asked the nymphs for help, and how she ended up here. She further told me that you were found along her journey here to another realm, crying in a nearby hinterland. She felt pity for you and couldn't neglect you all alone, that is why she picked you up and escaped here with you. Years after years, our feelings for each other grew and we couldn't control the urge to mate with each other. Normally, a wolf always has his\her own mate. Since I am already a rogue wolf, I accepted the feeling I have for Sarah and facilitated it. Our love grew so deep that I mated her. That is how Franni came into existence." looking at him, I could see that he couldn't hide his emotion again. Tears poured down his eyes and I could see all the pain he had tried to the sanctuary after the dismissal of his wife starting to surface. I felt pity for him and moved towards him, using my hand to clean the tear in her eyes. "But you haven't told me how I have a wolf and shelter your power?" I mumbled to his ear. Taking a deep breath, he continued. "Many years after Franni had been born, we started glimpsing that you had begun growing. You grew up to become a young beautiful and strong boy. Both you and Franni love each other to the extent that you couldn't stay a minute without seeing each other. Then one fateful night when we are sleeping inside our little cottage. Sarah had a dream about the Titan war and many evil entities coming after your sovereignty. She knew we had to do something, or else you might not live long and we can't avoid losing you. That was how my mind flickered to seer argon. He was my instructor when I was still inhabiting my father's pack. He was also the one who told me about my journey and many things that would happen, excluding the fact that I would meet Sarah. I suggested that we should search for him and your mother approved it. With the help of her moonlight power, she performs a location spell using a chain seer argon had given to me before I was banished from the pack. Luckily for us, we found him and I explained everything to him. He was the one that performed a spell on you which sealed your power. After that, we performed a ritual to the moon goddess and begged her to accept your living with the wolf which she miraculously granted. I later asked seer argon to share half of my power into your body so the pack could think that you are one of us. That is how you started living among the wolves and also how I started gathering some lost wolves like me while some left my father's pack and joined me. The day you fight deimos and lose your life, I had to save you so everything could go according to the prophecy." My father concluded and my mouth went wide open in agape. So I was something greater than I can ever imagine. "Listen, Rey," my father bellowed. "Your time is running out and you still have a lot of quests ahead of you to complete."
"What did you mean?" I inquired as I didn't seem to get what he was driving at.
"You are the next king of Mediva," he elucidated in disinclination. I raised a question, but he cut me short with his finger on my lips. "See, you don't have enough time left, you will be stuck here forever."
"What is this place?" I asked in curiosity.
"This is Avalon," he replied and I opened my mouth wider. "You have to go now. You must complete your quest."
"But I haven't free seer argon," I argued.
"I will do that for you," my father bellowed. Without further delay, he touched my forehead with his middle finger and whispered some words I couldn't hear. "You have 7 quests ahead of you son. Fulfilled them, saved the gods from perishing, and became the king of Mediva. It is your duty, and you mustn't fail." I felt myself drawing out of the realm and getting back to my main body. I heard my father echoing in my head, shouting "I love you, Rey, now make me proud." I looked around me and could see that everything was frozen between time. It seems my presence brought everything back to normal and the light that illuminated around the whole place decreased. I felt another presence behind me and I looked back to see Seer Argon. He was wearing a complete white garment and a golden staff was in his hand. His body radiated a great aura that suppressed the whole place. "It is your chance, son. Seize your glory now, lord Grey of Medieval kingdom." He bellowed to me in a calm voice.
I nod my head to acknowledge that I understand what he meant. Without hesitation, I jumped high and landed Infront of the undead god who was still watching in shock. I thrust my sword straight into his stomach but he dodged at the last moment and bought out his sword to deflect all my blows.
"Let's settle everything now, King of Mediva." He bellowed with a dangerous voice and charge at me.
