Chapter 23

I reflected over some issues on our drive back. I was happy things were building up. But then what was going to happen after everything?. I sighed . Skylar must've thought he had done something because he sulked. During my reflection, he asked some questions and I'd either answer by nodding or shaking my head. The poor kid. We halted at the front of the door.

Some gift bags and other parcels were on the ground, the bags hanged on the door. Shaking his head,he picked the things on the handle and unlocked it, hopping over the presents sprawled on the ground. I looked around. The pathway was empty so I picked up the gifts from the floor and entered the room. All gifts were from females. I wasn't surprised. They'd written a number of cards. Typical. The human took a shower and came back looking refreshed in a tee and shorts. His arms wrapped around my waist.
