The group moved slowly and steadily towards the main floor boss and made sure that they were all ready for the boss. "Frigid and Wall Flower this fight will go a lot easier with you two. Once Brick gets its attention, Flower activate your holy aura and that will decrease his defense and his attack. Frigid there is a slight chance that when he tries to call his minions you can hit him in the mouth with an ice spell and it will disrupt his summons. It is a low chance but anything helps."

"I will try to hit him in the mouth but no guarantees. Anything else we should know?"

"Actually yes. Remember that the skeleton boss summoned them every twenty percent of their health, this boss summons every ten percent and once it goes berserk it will summon them every two percent and try to overwhelm you. So, once it hits the berserk mode go all out. Ignore everything else and attack the boss. Ursi will protect you guys to best of his ability but we have to go hard and fast at that time. Any other questions?"

Brick spoke up. "Yeah, one more. Can we really do this?"

"We can and we will. But I have a little secret to tell you guys. I got a title earlier in the game and if I harvest the boss on a first clear I get three hundred percent reward. So, more than likely the reward will be enough to fully equip yourself in all blue gear."

"Then death before dishonor." Knocking Heads yelled out and pushed Brick into the threat range. Luckily, he was prepared for this and ran forward and got in range before the zombie could trigger any skills.

"I thought I was the only one that appreciated those old movies." Vindictus laughed as he got ready to chase after him. "Also Brick unless you are going to die do not use your equipment skill. I want you to save it for the hidden boss. But if it that skill or death use the skill."

Brick quickly locked on the bosses agro and Vindictus moved even faster with his new boots and appeared behind the zombie general and started attacking. He was so fast and got behind the boss before it could recognize his threat so he got the sneak attack bonus on his attack. But the holy aura that Wall Flower was using quickly covered the zombie and its defense went down. Vindictus hated that he was not used to his new speed yet and had wasted the opportunity of a sneak attack without the defense.

By the time Knocking Heads got there they had already taken ten percent of the zombies' health. The general started to scream for his minions and Frigid hit it in the mouth with an ice spell and the zombie chocked on the ice and the summon was disrupted. Vindictus gave a smile as Frigid hit it just right. He debated on bringing Ursi forward but thought it would be better safe than sorry.

The group kept moving around and when it was at the twenty percent mark, he called out to his minions again. Like last time Frigid timed it perfectly and disrupted the summon. But now they were getting into a danger zone.

"Brick don't use your skill. I am about to take the agro from you. Once he uses his poison pull his agro back so that I can treat myself."

"Okay. Just give the word."

Vindictus watched the health and right before it hit the three-quarter line he called out. "Brick, Knocking move back." As soon as they moved a little, he used his cross-cut skill and drew full agro of the boss and his poison attack. Since he was fighting behind the zombie there was no one around him and they would not be affected. As soon as the boss quit spitting the poison Vindictus called out. "Both of you attack to get the sneak attack bonus and then Brick use your skill."

Both men attacked and got the bonus and Knocking Heads got in a second attack before Brick activated his taunt and pull the full attention of the zombie general on him. Vindictus quickly used the holy water to counter the poison and then downed a healing potion to get back the small amount of health that he lost. The potion was overkill but he did not want to put any extra pressure on Wall Flower. He had barely made it back to the fight when it was about to summon minions. Frigid cast the ice spell again but this time it did not manage to disrupt the summon and the four zombies grew out of the ground. Vindictus attacked the two smaller zombies and they did not last long before he was back to attacking the boss.

Ursi easily tossed the two zombies that were summoned by them to the ground and stomped all over them. They tried to get up but they never managed to get back to their feet. He kept stomping on them over and over until they stopped moving. After that he huffed at them and then came right back to stand beside the two casters. These puny zombies were not really a threat to him.

The group kept it up to and Frigid managed to block the next summon so that was a big buffer in the fight. But the next one would be one of the most important ones. When it hit fifty percent health not only would it try to summon minion but it would also use its poison. "Guys we are not going to be able to block both the minions and the poison at half health. So, I am going to call its attention again and then we will deal with the minions. They are less dangerous than the poison to the group even with the holy water."

They fought and at the last second without Vindictus saying anything Brick stepped back out of the fight with Knocking Heads right beside him. Wall Flower hit Brick with an extra healing spell while he was out of combat. Vindictus noticed all of this while still fighting the boss to pull the agro so that it would use its poison skill on him. Right on que the boss summoned the minions and then turned fully towards Vindictus and sprayed him with the poison. Vindictus moved towards the minions while he was waiting on the poison to stop. As soon as it did, he pulled out the holy water and dodged the minion's attacks while he got rid of the poison.

Vindictus did not even have to tell the others how to react and they went right to it. It was nice to see that they only needed a little encouragement to really grow as players. The promise of blue equipment might motivate them but this was them trying to get better as players. He was really proud of the group and he knew that he had found a core team of the guild he was going to start. Now he only needed to survive this fight.

The group kept the same routine all the way until it got down the right before it was going to go into berserk mode. "Frigid I am not going to pull it this time like at the fifty mark. Go ahead and try to disrupt the minions again. Ursi go all out if they appear, this will be a little tougher than the last ones. The boss hit the berserk mode and bellowed out in rage and tried to summon its minions. At the same time the poison that it normally breathed out spread out in the ring from its feet.

Frigid cast the spell and hit the boss in the mouth and was partially successful. Only one minion at each location. Ursi went crazy on the zombie would not give it a chance to attack the others. Vindictus went after the one that summoned beside them and it was no match for them. That was when the group ran into a problem. They followed Vindictus' orders and used the holy water; the problem was that they did not move out of range of the boss. Vindictus saw what was happening and moved at his top speed and got in front of Brick and used his off-hand block skill. This was the only thing that saved them from a party wipe. Without Brick it would quickly be a lost cause.

With that block he did not put things back on track but he did stabilize the situation. By that time Brick realized what happened and color rushed to his face in embarrassment. "Sorry Vindictus."

"It is okay. We just need to finish this fight." Vindictus rinsed his body with the holy water but did not bother with a healing potion. He used his Boost Summon skill on Ursi to protect him and then he used cross-cut on the boss. They all kept using every attack skill that they had. Frigid aimed every attack at the mouth and despite it being in berserk mode they still managed to disrupt two of the summonses. Since no one was worried about defense or longevity the boss' health was falling faster than before and it was not able to summon the zombies on the percentage. It was two summonses behind when the last blow fell and the zombie boss dropped to the ground.

Just like last time a voice came from the door that opened. "Who dared to kill my minion?"
