Issei stood in stunned silence, his mind struggling to grasp the magnitude of what he had just heard. "God...the one floating around in the clouds...he's real?" he uttered, his voice filled with a mixture of awe and disbelief.
Ddraig's response was resolute and unwavering. "Yes, indeed. God exists. Regrettably, it was in the midst of my clash with the divine that I found myself sealed within your sacred gear. I am Ddraig, the Welsh Dragon, and to the world at large, I am recognized as one of the two celestial dragons—the Red Dragon Emperor," he explained patiently, his voice carrying the weight of ancient wisdom.
Issei's eyes widened, his comprehension struggling to keep pace with the revelations unfolding before him. "You...you actually fought against God?" he stammered, his voice a mix of astonishment and fascination.
A sense of pride permeated Ddraig's response. "Indeed. Neither angels, demons, nor even gods can rival the might of the heavenly dragons. Albion and I stand above even the esteemed Five Great Dragon Kings. And now, as my host, this power is yours to command as well," he declared, imbuing his words with a profound sense of shared strength and purpose.
Perplexed by the mention of Albion, Issei couldn't help but inquire further. "Who is Albion?" he questioned, his curiosity driving him to seek a deeper understanding of the dragon's ancient rivalry.
"Albion is the counterpart to my existence, the White Dragon Emperor," Ddraig explained, his voice holding a hint of intensity. "He, along with his own chosen host, will one day seek you out for a battle. It is an eternal feud between us, woven into the fabric of our beings. It is crucial that you master the power of the Boosted Gear and prepare yourself for that fateful encounter."
Issei's head spun with a mix of bewilderment and uncertainty. "I'm still so lost... I don't understand any of this," he admitted, shaking his head in frustration.
Ddraig's voice softened, offering reassurance amidst the chaos. "Fear not, Issei. I will provide you with all the answers in due time. But for now, our focus should be on training you and keeping your newfound power concealed—" Ddraig's words were abruptly cut off by a resounding pounding at the bathroom door.
"Issei! What on earth are you doing in there?! What's that smell? Who are you talking to? I'm coming in!" the boy's mother's voice boomed with a mix of concern and frustration, seeping through the hallway outside.
Issei's eyes widened in panic, realizing the precariousness of his situation. The world of dragons and sacred gears clashed with the mundane reality of his daily life, and he now faced the challenge of concealing this extraordinary secret from those closest to him.
As Issei surveyed the chaotic scene, he realized that the once-tidy bathroom had transformed into a veritable disaster zone, with flames dancing erratically and smoke billowing in the air. Before he could even process the gravity of the situation, the bathroom door swung open, revealing his incredulous mother standing at the threshold.
His mother's eyes widened in shock as she took in the scene before her. "Issei, what on earth have you done in here? Have you been playing with fire?" she exclaimed, her voice a mix of worry and disbelief.
Issei's mind raced, desperately searching for a way to explain the inexplicable. His mouth opened, but no words emerged as his mother fervently worked to extinguish the several fires that had erupted in the room. Each pat and smother of the flames only fueled her growing frustration.
Finally, her attention turned back to her son, her anger palpable. "I thought you knew better than this! What were you doing in here?" she demanded, her tone sharp and disappointed.
Issei's heart sank as he struggled to find the right words, his mind whirling with uncertainty. "I'm sorry, Mom..." he managed to utter, his voice filled with regret. Deep down, he knew he couldn't divulge the true cause of the chaos, for how could he possibly explain that he had been coughing up fire in the bathroom? The weight of his secret burdened him, leaving him grappling with the delicate balance between protecting his loved ones and navigating the extraordinary path fate had thrust upon him.
Mrs. Hyoudou's piercing glare bore into Issei, her frustration mounting by the second. "You've been acting out all week, and now this?! Just wait until your father gets home! You could have burned the entire house down!" Her words carried a mix of anger and concern.
Issei's heart pounded in his chest as the familiar fiery sensation enveloped his body once more. Panic gripped his mind as he realized the potential consequences of losing control while his mother stood there. "Oh no... I can't let this happen again, not with her watching!" he thought frantically, his instincts urging him to escape before she witnessed his uncontrollable powers.
Without uttering a word, Issei swiftly dashed out of the room and out of the house, his feet propelling him forward with astonishing speed. As he fled, the echoes of his mother's voice trailed behind him, demanding his immediate return.
"Where do you think you're going? Issei, come back this instant!" his mother's voice rang out, a mixture of worry and frustration echoing through the air.
Issei, however, remained undeterred, his determination fueling each stride as he sprinted down the street. To his astonishment, he soon realized that he was moving at an incredible velocity, surpassing even the swiftest cars that lined the road. The world blurred around him as he accelerated, the rush of wind against his face serving as a testament to the newfound power surging within him.
With a crowd of people blocking his path, Issei's desperation propelled him to veer sharply to the right and leap over them, his body defying gravity in a breathtaking display. To his utter astonishment, he soared through the air, covering a tremendous distance before landing gracefully on the roof of a nearby house.
