Ophis maintained a prolonged silence, her gaze fixed on Issei, devoid of any verbal response for nearly a minute. Her demeanor appeared more contemplative and less detached now as she eventually shook her head. "I require time to ponder the matter... Your reasoning holds some merit. Let us continue this conversation at a later time."
"Take all the time you need... Oh, and do you mind bringing Saji back as well? Technically, he is still a servant of the devils, and his absence would raise suspicions," Issei requested.
Ophis let out a resigned sigh. "Vritra always did harbor a fondness for Ddraig... I suppose it would be fitting for you to assume responsibility for Saji, at least for the time being."
A few moments later, Saji materialized on the rooftop, his countenance reflecting the aftermath of mental turmoil as he instinctively tried to flee. However, Ophis employed her magical abilities to freeze him in place before he could make his escape.
"I shall return in a few days with a response, Issei Hyoudou," Ophis declared in a composed tone.
"And what about Vali and Tiamat?" Issei inquired with a serious expression.
"They are required for a new mission I have devised. By my next visit, I will have reached a decision. Whether I accept your request or not, the truth will be revealed to them. But for now, neither of them needs the distraction," Ophis explained before vanishing through teleportation.
As she departed, her magical hold on Saji dissipated, and Issei swiftly intervened, preventing the devil from running away. Saji's features now bore an expression of horror as Issei restrained him.
"We must inform someone about this!" Saji urgently exclaimed, attempting to break free from Issei's grasp.
Without hesitation, Issei forcefully pulled Saji back and forcefully pushed him to the ground, firmly planting his foot on the devil's chest. Moments later, he spoke with utmost seriousness, "We can't do that..."
"Why not?! The President would understand if I just-" Saji abruptly halted his words as Issei raised his arm and channeled a blend of golden and red magic over him.
"I am concealing your scent and power, Saji... And you are not going to divulge anything, understand?" Issei uttered in a dark tone.
Saji gazed up at Issei from his prone position, his confusion evident. "But why? We were just abducted by a group of deranged dragons!"
"In case you haven't realized yet, Saji, you are now a dragon as well. My residual power has already initiated changes within your body, and as hosts of draconic Sacred Gears grow in strength, dragon cells begin to manifest. I once held the title of Dragon King, which means your dragon blood will eventually overpower even your devil blood," Vritra elucidated to his host.
"Listen, Saji, this is not the kind of revelation you want to share with others. I am in the same predicament as you. Ophis was here to recruit me, and apparently, you as well. If you involve others in this, you will only put them in harm's way. This is our burden... and we shall handle it," Issei added firmly.
Vritra directed his inquiry to Issei directly, his tone tinged with curiosity. "Issei Hyoudou, forgive me if I am not acquainted with you, but could you enlighten me as to why Ophis is amassing a dragon army?"
Issei, the delinquent, nodded in response. "She aims to gather enough forces to confront and defeat Great Red."
"Interesting... that seems to carry a significant risk of casualties. A clash between Ophis and Great Red would undoubtedly result in the demise of countless beings. However, if she were to bestow her followers with Infinity Snakes, she might gain an advantage," Vritra remarked.
Issei let out a sigh. "Ophis will be returning in a few days. That means we will have to decide whether to fight against her or join her... unless we can persuade her to see reason."
Saji interjected with a hint of uncertainty, "So... does Tiamat's allegiance lie with the Underworld if she serves Ophis?"
The delinquent shrugged, his expression reflecting his lack of certainty. "I cannot say for certain what her intentions are, but I had hoped to convince both her and Vali to reconsider their involvement in this chaos."
Feeling desperate, Saji asked, "What am I supposed to do now? Should I just wait for Ophis to return and forcibly enlist me into her dragon army?"
"I have no desire to align myself with her... I wish to avoid entanglement in this catastrophe," Vritra sighed, his weariness evident.
Curiosity sparked within Saji, causing him to inquire further, "Issei, you don't wish to join them either, do you? I witnessed your defiance earlier... would you truly have fought against all of them?"
Issei held Saji's gaze for a moment, his silence speaking volumes, before finally responding, "Yes."
Vritra interjected, acknowledging Issei's courage, "Issei Hyoudou, you must possess considerable power. It is perplexing how an unknown dragon like yourself can wield such strength. For Ophis to take a personal interest in you... that is no trivial matter. Your bravery and determination to oppose them were indeed commendable."
Overwhelmed by the bizarre circumstances, Saji voiced his confusion, exclaiming, "Having this dragon residing within me is maddening! How will I ever grow accustomed to this?"
Issei let out another sigh, offering reassurance. "You will adapt... I did."
Perplexed, Saji sought clarification, "What do you mean, Issei? You are simply a half-breed dragon, correct?"
Issei raised his arm, and his Boosted Gear materialized into a Red Gauntlet, emanating a fusion of red and green light. As the gauntlet solidified, Issei explained, "I am also the Red Dragon Emperor... So believe me when I say that I understand precisely what you are experiencing."
Saji reacted with disbelief, his gaze fixed on Issei's Boosted Gear. "Wait, what?! But wasn't your father supposed to be off training as the Sekiryuutei?"
"He lied to cover for me... He left because Ophis was coming here," Issei disclosed.
Saji stared at the Boosted Gear in Issei's possession, his astonishment evident. "They say you are already at the level of a Dragon King... and you have one of the Heavenly Dragons within you too?! Just how incredibly powerful are you?!"
