Chapter 10: The Sisters' Awkward Situation

"We need to call the police... call the police immediately!"

Marina Akizuki shakily took out her phone, ready to dial the number.

A break-in, assault, and her sister being raped—this was outrageous.

"Sis, no, you've got it wrong!"

Initially bracing for Marina to walk in on them, Eri quickly panicked and stopped her sister when she saw she was about to call the police.

"Got it wrong...?"

Marina paused, her hand hovering over the phone.

"Sis, come over here. I'll explain everything."

Seeing her sister's confusion, Eri took a deep breath, mustering the strength to lift her hand and beckon Marina closer. It was quite an effort since she was still weak from the multiple rounds with Shangguan Binghen.

Eri then recounted the events in a straightforward manner, leaving Marina stunned at the bedside.

"You mean, Dad sprayed you with an aphrodisiac intending to rape you, and luckily your boyfriend came by and saved you, leading to this...?"

Marina was bewildered, staring at Eri in shock. This situation felt like something out of a TV drama.

"Of course, why would I lie to you? I've always said Akizuki Kozo is no good, but you didn't believe me. Stay away from him from now on. He targeted me this time, and he might go after you next."

Seeing Marina's skepticism, Eri angrily warned her, her tone filled with caution and care.

"I-I understand."

Hearing Eri's words, Marina, overwhelmed and confused, nodded in a daze. She was truly frightened by the whole incident. Eri's earlier warnings about Akizuki Kozo were justified.

With Marina's help, Eri was carried to the bathroom for a bath. They shyly chatted about intimate matters while bathing together, creating a serene and bonding moment.

By the time Eri and Marina emerged from the bathroom in their pajamas, the ambulance had arrived to take the injured Akizuki Kozo away.

"Phew, finally done cleaning. Why was it so messy in here?"

A somewhat tired Shangguan Binghen sighed, sitting on the couch in the living room. He had assumed the new house would have everything, but apart from the basics like a bed and couch, it was empty. Worse, the place seemed to have been uninhabited for half a month, covered in dust. So he had just done a thorough cleaning.

"Master, this is the result of altering the world. Originally, people were living here until recently."

Linger explained softly.

"Because of my request, the memories of the people in this world were adjusted to think the previous occupants moved out half a month ago..."

Shangguan Binghen sighed, completing Linger's unfinished sentence.

"Exactly~" Linger replied sweetly.

**Ding-dong!**

At that moment, the doorbell rang, surprising Shangguan Binghen. Recognizing the familiar aura, he smiled and went to open the door.

"Hello, Binghen, I came to see you. Aren't you glad?"

Eri, looking much better, placed her hands on her hips as she spoke, noticing Shangguan Binghen's lack of surprise and his warm smile.

"Hello, Mr. Shangguan. Thank you for saving my sister. I'm Akizuki Marina, Eri's sister."

Marina bowed and introduced herself, thanking him.

"Marina, got it. Eri, Marina, come in and let's talk. I might not have much here yet, but I can offer you some tea."

Shangguan Binghen smiled and invited them in.

"Uh..."

Hearing him call her by name so directly made Marina blush and feel a bit conflicted. It wasn't dislike or resistance, but a touch of shyness. Shangguan Binghen's appearance and demeanor were top-notch, and since he saved Eri, she actually felt a bit of affection. However, Japanese girls tended to be reserved, and being addressed by their first name by a stranger was a bit hard to accept.

Before she could say anything, Shangguan Binghen had already turned to make tea, leaving her somewhat helpless.

"Sis, don't overthink it. Binghen is Chinese, and they usually call each other by their first names."

Eri quickly understood what her sister was thinking and reassured her, pulling her into the house.

Hearing this, Marina's expression turned from surprised to relieved.

Still, it amazed her how fluently Shangguan Binghen could speak Japanese despite being Chinese.

While Marina was lost in thought, Eri closed the door behind them and led her sister inside.
