"Ah, Lady Navaria," Jonathan greeted her coolly, an eyebrow raised as he surveyed her hurried step. "I assume you're prepared for today's affairs?"
Nila didn't like how Jonathan addressed her as Lady Navaria, it felt like he still didn't accept her as the queen of Selene, but she wasn't going to let someone like him ruin her first day.
"Of course, Jonathan," she replied, hiding the flutter of nerves. "Lead the way."
He gave a slight scoff. "Follow closely, then." With briskness, Jonathan guided her through the royal corridors, rattling off tasks, his tone a constant blend of impatience and disdain.
