"Take care Savannah — I don't know what's up to you. Are you really sure 'bout this? I am worried." Andrei asked while his forehead's creasing. He's with his stethoscope and gown; he's a general surgeon. I just smiled, hoping that it would lessen his worries.
"Yeah, I am sure, I spoke to you 'bout this and you agreed right? so please—" I paused
I wrapped my arms around him.
"Bye, I love you!" I said as I wore the shades I just bought earlier.
"Be safe, Savy!" He said, I bit my lower lip to prevent it from quivering. Just by looking at Andrei's face. . . I am really thinking not to leave but there's no room for backing out.
"Good luck on your surgeries!" I left his office with a heavy heart, my escorts were walking after me. They're the new hired lieutenants, for my safety.
Some nurses and staffs had to stop from whatever they're doing just to greet me, their stares won't last long. They're afraid of me.
I only have my backpack with me. I was really planning to leave early but there were still things to deal with. I had to smash my old phone. . . they'd surely do everything to locate me tomorrow so I just bought a new one. These escorts? I had a perfect plan for them. I won't kill them tho.
When we reached the basement where the SUV's parked, I reminded the driver 'bout some things and I continued sighing. This is an utter crap. I just couldn't fathom my own dipshit plans. The pang of guilt crawled over my system as I was trying to gather my strength.
I was really in no mood to eat but my stomach's really empty that's why I asked them to stop at the nearest coffee shop and secretly wore the earpiece I prepared.
I lied to Andrei, to everyone. I told them that this is just a vacation but no. . . I don't know what kind of spirit possessed me but I'd rather do this shit than losing my mind. I am seeking for solace. And seeking for solace means fooling them starting tomorrow, I'd fake my death.
We stopped at the nearest coffee shop and I just heaved a sigh.
"Stop following me!" My escorts kinda annoyed me, I will just buy coffee and sweets! There are no assassins inside the coffee shop that's why I kind of annoyed when they're always following my every steps.
"No one's going to kill me, tsk!" I entered the coffee shop without my bodyguards, they're just going to seek everyone's attention. People would think I'm crazy for having escorts inside the shop.
As soon as I reached the counter, I bump myself onto someone. Is she visually impaired or what?
"I am already running out of time and must be presentable but. . . look what you did!" Her face is all red, she's mad at me. She stained her dress because she's careless to begin with, the stain has nothing to do with me.
"I'm fucking doomed now because of you!" Her eyes fired with anger. Even her eyes were red. It's her fault because she's careless! I don't get the idea why people tend to blame others why they had to deal repercussions of their actions.
"Funny," I just said because I am in no mood to chitchat. The crews approached us but she's really mad to even push them away with her hands. She's making a scene!
"I am a general surgeon of MH---" I stopped her midway.
"Am I asking?!" I raised my middle finger right infront of her face, "Fuck off!" I added and rolled my eyes.
"You aren't afraid of me? A GS of MH?" She asked that's why my brows met for seconds.
"Why are you telling me your profession? Am I sick? Stupid." I asked because she's acting high and mighty in front of me, Savannah Moure!
"Damn you!" She pulled my hair but before I could do something on that, my bodyguards meddled. They're on time to meddle, thanks to deities that they entered the shop.
"Who cares if you're a GS when I am the heiress of that MH you're boasting?" I whispered and I saw how her eyes widened in horror.
The scene ended and hours flew fast. I bit my lower lip again, we're here. We're surrounded with trees and my men just gave me a signal. I sighed, there's no turning back.
"Now!" I said as I wielded my earpiece. My men and I were communicating through my earpiece.
"Roger!" The other line answered, I could feel and hear my fast heart beats. I was already catching for some air, the plan has started so why am I scared of my own doing? I am quivering, silently hoping that no one's going to die. My bodyguards has their own lives to live. The SUV stopped when we heard a loud bang and it was then followed by explosion.
"PROTECT HER!" Lieutenant Paul shouted. I saw their guns and their willingness to protect me but they didn't know that I was really the one who ordered those men to attack us. They left me inside the SUV, I am sighing nonstop so I could lessen the leaden burden inside.
I gathered all my strength, they're all busy exchanging bullets and I took that as a chance to get out and leave. Am gonna fucking find a house here or else I'm fucking doomed.
"The bomb!" I signaled the other line as I was busy running, to escape from my bodyguards. Meters away from the SUV, I heard a loud explosion. The sun's going to set, I couldn't see the SUV and my bodyguards as well because of the smoke.
I started to run again, I need to look for a house.
"How's my bodyguards?" I asked the other line.
"They're fine, just small cuts." He replied—half laughing at my quivering voice. I'm relieved, darn relieved that my bodyguards were safe.
"Darn! That's great!" I replied and let out a deep sigh after my earpiece was thrown.
My bodyguards would think that I exploded together with the SUV, they'd think I'm dead and that's the plan.
"Where am I?" There are creepy sounds anywhere and it sent chills down my spine. The alluring image of sunset's gone, I felt helpless when I was already hovered with dark clouds. Mad thunder enveloped my ears so my lips contorted at that.
"Darn, my shoes!" I am more than concerned of my Balenciaga, the road's muddy and rough and my Balenciaga is not for this scene.
I ran my fingers through my hair, the rain's going to pour soon and I am hungry! I only had coffee on our way here.
The cold wind blew against me, there are no any other choices left but to let myself be soaked in rain. I couldn't even say a word, whining wouldn't help me to get through this! I was busy looking for a house and when I found one, I stifle a smile.
"There you are!" I've never been this desperate before, but now? I found myself running— not even minding the lightning.
"Open the door!" I wasn't even knocking because I am now punching the door. Am gonna die shivering here if no one's going to open the door for me.
"OPEN THE DOOR!" But there's no one. I got no response. I am in no good when it comes to patience.
I'd kick the door than shouting but before I could do what I was really going to do, someone opened the door and I was kinda agitated.
"Don't block the way!" I pushed the owner of the house so I can enter. I am wet and I need to shower.
"This is gross! Annoying!" I said through gritted teeth and while I was taking off my jacket, I eyed the man who opened the door for me but I couldn't properly see him for now. I just needed to clean myself first and deal with the man later.
"Just stand forever? How about a clean towel? Would you mind?" I sarcastically asked him while my knees are getting numb!
My whole body's paralyzed for a split second when his face showed up. The vision's very clear for me! His thick eyebrows met in perplexity, his nose screams nothing but sublimity, those dark eyes are looking at me in heavy intensity, how could those eyes made shiver in horror? I felt so inferior! How could those parted watery lips had me lost in the middle of enigma? How could those ebony feautures just banish all the dismal and sinister parts inside me?
And why was he described that way? Was I really the one who gave him those elucidations?
"Hey? I am asking you a towel, are you deaf? I'm cold!"
He was begrudginly walking near me and even laughing in front of me like he couldn't fathom this scene. Beaucoup of questions flooded on his face like he's unable to shove this scenario inside his mind.
He massaged his temple, bit his lower lip and I swallowed hard at that. He's just so annoying!
"Wait. . . I don't even know you! Are you lost? Are we close? You're acting like. . ." He stopped from what he was saying and he keep on clenching his well-defined jaws. He resembled those leading men I've seen on Netflix. He's like a demigod.
Back to what he was saying, who am I? Savannah Moure? No, I know that he knows who is Savannah Moure. I am sure he haven't seen my face but he have heard who is Savannah Moure.
"Let me ask you again, who are you? Is your tire flat?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry, but. . . I don't really know you!" He's about to lay his fingers on my wrist but I stopped him halfway. His physical appearance ain't a free pass to touch me.
"I am Halsey! I'm not lost, just don't hurl questions after questions, you're cranking me up!" He's probably enjoying the view of me, all wet. He crossed his arms, looking at me like I was joking. But back to my name, I am a fan of Halsey that's why I chose Halsey as my name.
"And, I'll live with you!" He seemed taken aback at that, his lips parted as his eyes grew bigger.
"I left home, no one asked me. I ran away and I will live here!" His eyes fired, he bit his lower lip while keep on massaging his temple. If I were him, I'd get a towel and worry my sudden existence later.
"You listen, child! I might get sued because of this. You better leave, don't make a fuss! I am in no mood to joke around, leave!"
Is he so old to call me a child?
"I'll pay my monthly rent, how much do you want? You just tell me! Just let me live with you, your house's frumpish tho!"
His eyes darkened and it sent shivers down my spine, fucking gruesome. I stooped my head, he's not allowed to see my sudden blushing.
"That's exactly my point! Leave because my place is all frumpish! I'll get you a towel, you change your clothes and leave!" He raised his left eye brow and left my sight afterwards.
Andrei and that man almost had the same features.
"Here's the towel, the bathroom's there and you better leave!" He pointed the bathroom and I earned a towel thrown over my chest, he fake a cough.
"No, I'll stay here and you better prepare me a room!"
"I am a rapist," He was holding his breath when he said that and I wasn't even scared.
"No one's asking if you're a rapist or a priest! I'll give you a hefty sum! I don't do begging but I'd beg right now. Let me live here."
It's funny how the girl inside the coffee shop used his profession to scare me and how this man proudly said he's a rapist to shoo me away.
"You hardheaded child! I don't need your money, the bathroom's waiting for you so change your clothes!" And I earned another crap thrown over my face and it's a shirt.
I crease my forehead in disbelief, he's the hardheaded one.
"I'll live with you, oldie!"
"I'm busy to babysit, I'd appreciate if you leave my humble place."
"The case's closed, I'll live here."
