[Starting Split]
I calmly sip a cup of tea as I watch the small blonde sleep on the bed I have given her.
I grab my open book and calmly skim through the open pages.
"Nhhh." The girl groans as she shifts in the bed. I look up from my book to see her slowly bring a hand to her head and sit up slowly.
She blearily blinks around. She looks dazed.
"Hey you." I state. "You're finally awake."
The blonde girl flinches, eyes snapping over to me.
Terror quickly makes itself known in her blue eyes.
Pawn 3: Mittelt:
Mood: is absolutely terrified of you. She somehow survived the betrayal of Raynare, but now YOU are here! She's going to die! You're going to kill her! Wait... why is she in a comfortable bed. Oh god- ow- what's going on?! Why did that hurt?!
"I reincarnated you."
The girl freezes in place, eyes widening in horror.
"W-What?"
"Yep."
"WHY?!" She shrieks. "WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!"
"You told me to." I hum with a small smile.
"I WASN'T THINKING STRAIGHT FROM BLOOD LOSS!" She shouts.
"Okay." I shrug. "I'm not above taking advantage of that."
She flinches back at the casual admittance that I took advantage of her.
"What? I ask. "I'm a devil, but I'm not going to fucking lie to you."
The small girl's hands clench on the blanket covering her.
"Why... why did you revive me?" The girl whispers.
"Because you look almost exactly like my Fiancée and I couldn't stand to see someone who looks close enough to be an identical twin bleed out on the floor and die." I state with a bored expression.
"You revived me... for my appearance?"
"Eh. Yeah." I shrug. "Sounds shallow, but a fallen angel could also be incredibly useful in the future. I'm going to make sure you make it to at least twelve wing status."
She shoots me an unimpressed look. "Another devil who only thinks only with their dick."
"I'm greedy. What can I say. It's a classic devil trait. I won't stand for anything fucking someone that even slightly resembles my fiancée. Even death."
"Well tough luck." The girl scoffs. "I'm not a virgin."
"Hn. I doubt that." I hum as I shoot her a knowing look, causing the girl to stiffen.
"You're what... twenty-six? Twenty-seven. A second generation fallen. That's sort of explains why you are so weak. But you have never had good luck with men, no? It's always 'who let this small child in here' and 'Your figure isn't good enough for me to consider a serious relationship with you' right? And even when you finally decided to toss your standards through the floor, and tried to romance a HUMAN. He was just a pedophile and got arrested before you could even kiss him!"
"SHUT UP!" She snarls, shooting me an embarrassed glare. "HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS?!"
"I'm really good at finding out stuff." I give her an impish smile. "You didn't think I'd do a background check on the newest piece of my peerage?"
I look her dead in the eyes. "The fact remains that you are in my peerage now. You might not like it. You might even hate it. But I will take care of you from now on and make sure that you live a life you can enjoy. Sound good?"
Her eyes narrow slightly.
Pawn 3: Mittelt:
Mood: Skeptical of your claims that you legitimately care about her, but there's not much she can do at this point. Being a reincarnated devil would practically get her killed on sight in the Grigori, so it's not like she can run. She also doesn't like the sound of turning into a mutant abomination, so betraying you is out of the question... not that she could kill you in the first place. She supposes that now she'll just have to wait and see what happens. You said that she looks like your fiancée... so... maybe you won't treat her too badly? O-oh no... she's about to be nothing more than a fuck toy, isn't she...
"Oh, and I should probably mention. Your friends killed you for literally no reason. You might think of me as a monster for being all 'Kill your friends and two of you may leave! Muahaha!' But your friends killed you before I had even finished my damn sentence of 'I'll be keeping the other two for negotiations with the Grigori'."
"They're not my friends." The girl denies with a frown on her face.
"But they were, yeah?" I ask with a small smile.
She silently looks down at the bed, we both quietly sit there for about thirty seconds.
"What..." She eventually breaks the silence. "Did you do to them?"
"Black haired girl and blue haired girl? I killed them." I answer easily.
"After saying you'd let them go?!" The girl asks.
"They cut me off before I finished my sentence. So I simply tacked on a 'from this mortal coil' to the back of 'free you'." I explain. "Don't think I lied to them for a moment. Devils are tricky creatures, and a large majority do in fact rely on lies to get their ways, but I find that barbaric. Why lie when you can just tell the truth in a way that gets them to come to the conclusion you want? Lying has zero style! No finesse! I very rarely lie and I hate doing it."
She gives me a slow blink. "You... are sort of a dork. I don't get how I was scared of you."
"Oh, I can be very scary when I want to be. But seeing as how you are now on my side. I see no reason to be scary to you." I state as I slowly stand, causing the girl to flinch and hide slightly under the blankets.
"You should be aware that all devils have their vices... some adore their little sister and sexually fantasize about them. Others trick nuns into being excommunicated before raping and torturing them. Turning them into nothing more than a peerage full of mindless puppets. Finding amusement in tricking people with the truth is frankly extremely tame as far as eccentric devil bullshit goes." I slowly state as I turn and walk towards the door. "You should get some rest, Mittelt. Adapt. You're part of my family now, and I'm going to make sure you are taken care of."
I open the door and look back. "I hope you have a pleasant evening. Later we will find you some replacement clothing as your current attire has a large hole in the lower back and stomach."
"I know it might be a long road... but I truly hope you learn to enjoy your second chance at life." I call back as I leave the room with a meaningful look, I shut the door behind me.
I turn, coming eye to eye with Serafall.
Its an awkward second as I comprehend her being so close.
"Are we going to make out or what?" I ask.
"I'd like to see your pawn." The magical girl states.
"Alrighty. Be gentle with her she's like... a twentieth of your age." I hum.
"Talking about a woman's age is mean, Gai-tan." The magical girl pouts.
"I just mean, don't treat her like some old hag that has been alive since the genesis of the planet and all that. She's a second generation... and has been in like zero serious fights."
"An old hag like Gabriel?" Serafall asks.
"Sure." I shrug.
I open the door, revealing Mittelt still sat up, staring at the door. It appears Serafall and I weren't as quiet as I believed. "Scratch the resting thing for now. A cute magical girl that won't reach middle aged devil status for another few thousand years is here to see you."
The girl is absolutely terrified. The bed is shaking from how much she is quivering.
"Heeeey!" The Satan smiles. "There's no need to be scared of lil ol me! I just wanted to ask you some questions!"
"Y-Yeah?" The blonde asks.
"I'll leave you to it, then." I shrug as I turn to-
"P-PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE WITH HER!" The blonde shrieks.
I look back over my shoulder. "Why are you so scared of her, Mittelt? You're a devil. Why are you afraid of other devils?"
"Bye! Sera-tan don't bully her too much."
"Okay." The Satan pouts.

This is a start... I'll need to gather quite a bit to fund my dimensional escapades.
I look to the blonde sat in bed, not even trying to hide her glare.
"I hate you." She slowly states. "You left me with the Grigori's boogyman."
"I wasn't aware Serafall had such a reputation." I shrug.
"She's horrible. Even the stronger fallen shake when her name comes up in a conversation. Her damned negotiation tactics have bled the Grigori dry of numerous resources." The girl frowns.
"You think she wouldn't bleed you guys dry if fallen angels stopped causing international incidents?" I ask with a slightly smug smile.
She continues to glare at me.
"Besides, I don't really see why you are so scared of her, anyways... like I said. You're a devil." I boredly hum.
"Thank you for reminding me of that. I had forgotten." The girl sarcastically remarks, her glare intensifying.
"Stop looking at me like that. You wanted me to save your life. I did. There's no going back. You just have to deal with it. At least in my peerage you'll actually amount to something instead of being throw away mook number ten thousand."
The girl crosses her arms, definitely not enjoying how I called out her previous life of being a Grigori nothing.
"Instead, you should look forwards, yeah? Just think. As you are now, you are already stronger than you were. You have the promotion ability, and you can eventually become a high class devil! You can stand out."
"And for what cost? Huh?" She asks. "What? Do you expect me to pull my panties down and bend over whenever you ask for it?! Are you going to pawn me out to your scummy devil friends or something?!"
"You are making quite a few assumptions right there... first off. Literally all of my 'scummy devil friends' are female. Secondly, even if I did fuck you, I'm extremely greedy. There's no way in hell I'd offer up anyone in my harem to anyone else regardless of status. The king of Olympus himself could lightning bolt through my roof, proclaim that if I let him fuck one of my peerage, he'd ally with the devil race forever, I'd tell him to go fuck himself and possibly attempt to kill him. Thirdly, isn't the Grigori also a place where your bosses could order you to bend over a desk, you just never faced that because of your small appearance, and finally... the most vitally important and obvious point... if I wanted sex, I'd just go to my extremely hot fiancée. Her thirsty mom. My dhampir queen. My horny maid rook. My other Fiancée. Maybe even Serafall Leviathan." I finish off the list with a small frown.
"You said that you wanted me for my appearance." She snarls.
"Well, yes and no. You are alive BECAUSE of your appearance. You reminded me of my Fiancée enough that I didn't feel alright with you bleeding out in front of me." I continue. "Realistically, the only difference is that you are flatter that a washboard and she has sizable breasts."
The girl frowns at my insults and buries herself under the blankets of the bed she has been given.
But now it's time for my extremely high charisma, clan traits, and high diplomacy modifier to do its work.
"Mittelt, Listen. I'm sorry that you don't like being reincarnated, but... there's really nothing I can do now... it would perhaps be for the best that you look to the future. We can't turn back time... and your previous job got you betrayed at the drop of a hat... with me you won't have to worry about that. I know I have probably already ruined introductions with my teasing, and how I dismantled you and your friends... but, I truly hope that one day you'll grow to trust me and be happy."
She pauses for a moment as she seems shocked at my sincerity, but her eyes narrow.
"I know." She hisses as she brings her knees up to her chest. "Just... leave me alone... let me think by myself for a while."
"Alright." I mutter as I slowly get to my feet and walk to the door. "You can call me Gaius, by the way. That 'Master', 'Boss', or 'Chief' stuff most peerages do doesn't really suit me. If you need something to eat or drink, just ask one of the maids that are around, that door leads to a bathroom, and if you want a change of clothes, the maids will get one for you. I'll see you later, Mittelt."
[Split]
I gently pat the back of a sniffling girls' head. "It's okay, Le Fay... you did all you could... there was no way you could have known."
"H-He was my usual contractor." She sniffles.
"He has been avenged." I slowly state.
"C-Can't you revive him?" She whispers. "I-I don't want anyone to be dead because of me!"
"I'm sorry, Le Fay, but there's really nothing we can do... he's been dead for far too long." I sigh as I pat the back of her head.
Also, I wouldn't want to reincarnate some random human with zero powers just to make Le Fay feel better. At least with Mittelt it's an investment as she may eventually become a twelve winged fallen. But random human dude? No way. But she doesn't really need to know my thoughts on this matter.
A thought comes to my mind.
A way to kill two birds with one stone.
"Oh... that may just work."
"H-huh?" The girl blinks up at me, wiping tears out of her eyes. "What might?"
"Valerie's sacred gear has a few special effects. After she started drinking my blood, it has become a little less strenuous for her, so she might be able to do something."
"Really?!" She asks as she hops to her feet.
"yes, really." I nod as I pull out my phone.
[Split]
I blink slowly at the extremely buff black haired dude in a magical girl outfit flexing.
Freed killed THAT?!
How?!
A Mythic Trial has been completed
Truly Revive Someone (Inadvertently): 1 Mythic Trail
Ah. Right. Another mythic trial is there as well.
"It is alright, Le Fay-Chan!" The HUGE MAN's voice booms. "You did everything you could like a TRUE magical girl! I am back now as well, so there is no harm done!"
I look to Valerie who wipes a hand across her forehead, she doesn't look all that out of it, all things considered.
I slowly walk beside her. "So, how are you holding up?"
"I'm actually... remarkably fine. I was extremely nervous to try this, but... it seems resurrecting a normal human doesn't exactly wain too much upon me."
"Oh, good, good. I'm glad you're not hurting." I state.
"Don't Worry Mil-Tan! I'll find out a way to turn you into a true magical girl as payment for this!" Le Fay exclaims.
I look over to Valerie. "You think you could do that?"
"I believe in you Le Fay-Chan!" The body builder exclaims.
"Hn?" The Dhampir hums. "Uh... let's see? I guess practice is practice."
"Oi!" I call out. "Valerie might be able to fix the 'Girl' part of 'Magical Girl' but it's up to you, Le Fay, to teach them magic."
Le Fay whirls around, her eyes wide. "What?! Really?!"
"What?" I ask. "You think Valerie's gear would hurt her head if it WASN'T overpowered?"
Valerie holds out her hands and summons the three grails.
I watch as the buff man in magical girl clothing shrinks from nearly seven feet tall to a much more reasonable five foot eleven, his muscles seemingly deflate as his chest grows, his hips enlarge as his arms suddenly become less bulky and leaner.
Suddenly I'm looking at a 'Her' instead of a 'Him'
"Huh." I mutter as I look over my shoulder to Valerie. "You good?'
"Oh yeah." The Dhampir nods. "That was far less strenuous than the revival thing."
"Congratulations on achieving half of your goal... uh... I didn't exactly get your name?"
"My name is Mil-Tan, strong devil guy!" Her voice is now noticeably less manly, but still fairly deep... but more in an 'Ara Ara' way.
"I see. Well I hope you enjoy. It seems Le Fay REALLY wants to make it up to you. And who else better to teach you human magic other than the master magician and descendant of Morgan Le Fay herself?"
The now girl's eyes sparkle as she looks over to Le Fay as I continue. "You'll probably need to give her the rundown on supernatural as well."
"Yes!" The blonde girl smiles brightly.
"Keep him- her- it- keep them and yourself safe, alright?" I command.
"You can count on me!" The Descendant grins.
"Oh good. I'm going to go quickly work on a project, then. My timeline has been moved up through fallen bullshit. Toodle Loo~"
[Split]
"Hey... Gaius?"
"Hn?" I hum as I look up to the brown-haired pawn. "Yeah, Meredith?"
"One of my contractors has made a... difficult request, and I sort of wanted to ask you about it." The girl begins slowly. "They want a magical sword... but, they said it's probably best that they tell the blacksmith what they want directly."
I look to the extremely large solid metal head sitting on the desk in front of me, solid limbs of iron litter the surrounding area, a torso the size of a door sits on the far side. "Alright. I could use a break."
I get up slowly and brush off my hands, leaving behind the iron golem I am working on and looking down at the brown haired girl stood beside my table. "So, where is he?"
"He works in a bar downtown, we can teleport over easy peasy!" The girl smiles.
"Alright, let's go." I state.
A magic circle forms beneath the two of us as Meredith closes her eyes.
With a small flash we are suddenly elsewhere, in some form of back alley, Meredith grabs my wrist and slowly leads me out. "Come on! It's just over here!"
I look to a fairly nice looking white brick building with black tinted windows, there is a sign above the door that reads 'Gypsy Pint Emporium'.
"Hn." I lowly hum as we enter the bar.
It's quiet, there's only us there at the moment.
I look around, spying the bartender, sat behind the counter polishing a glass.
Oh... you have got to be kidding me.
"Oh, hey brat." The man grins. "Is this the blacksmith you were talking about."
"Yeah! This is my master! He has an amazing ability to forge swords and I think he might be able to help you-"
She slowly stops speaking as she notices my flat expression, she looks in between me and the tall, black haired-blonde banged, man with pinkish eyes.
"Azazel." I smile menacingly. "You have roughly... say... sixty seconds to convince me not to phone Serafall and tell her all about how you snuck into my territory, not even a week after there was a mini-international incident about fallen sneaking into my town and murdering my peerage's contractors."
Meredith flinches back, eyes growing wide.
He freezes, his smile growing strained. "Well now, I'd say that's a little uncalled for. After all, nobody except my side died permanently."
Ah, he knows about the grail. "I'm still not hearing that reason."
"I just wanted sate my curiosity a bit." He shrugs. "Tell you what, I'll even make it worth your time."
"I'm listening." I slowly frown.
"Ah, good. Come take a seat. We've got a lot to talk about." The man smirks.
