Not Ready

"The setting place for the Dungeon Of Chaos has an unknown about of floors deep. However, we only have the map for up to the 5th floor down..." Tokkie started explaining all she knew about the cave systems they were in.

"Wait... Dungeon of Chaos? Look, I'm the dungeon master here so I get to name it! Ain't no way it's going to be call Dungeon of Chaos!" Adam interrupted.

"Godammit would you focus. We can talk about the name later." Tokkie said with a gleam in the eye that has no intention of backing down.

"Fine fine, sheesh. So where are the goblins located?" Adam asked.

"Over here at the 5th floor. This empty room is where they have decided to make their fortress as well as where the leader lies." Tokkie said as she point towards a location in the map.

"leader?" Adam asked curiously.

"Yeah. Reports indicated that the goblins are lead by a single hob goblin." Tokkie explained.

"Erm what is a hob goblin?" Adam asked once again.

"Haih... Humans like us choose and progress through our said job rank to power up. Once we have chosen our job, we can no longer switch to another. Similar with monsters, they do not choose their jobs, however they do evolve evolve into one of the many variants... " Tokkie explained as Adam nodded his head all the way.

"... Hob goblins are evolved goblins who specialise in physical offence. They are 2 to 3 meters tall, towering over human and goblin alike with super human strength. Its going to be hard to deal with it..." Tokkie said as she starts feeling the pressure from the daunting task ahead.

" You're speaking as if we are facing it alone. How many goblins are there anyways? " Adam chimed in.

"According to reports, there is roughly a band of 30 goblins here... Wait what do you mean by we?" Tokkie stopped mid sentence as if realising something.

"What? You can't possibly think of taking them on urself? The last time u did, you practically became their sex doll..." Adam sneered back.

"Excuse me ok . They took me by suprise. It won't happen again." Tokkie replied sassily.

"Famous last words...." Adam said as he did a 'oh really' face.

"Anyways, I can help, as the dungeon master, it would seem that I have total control of thr earth within it..." Adam continue.

"... Certain control... I think you mean limited especially with your mana capacity... You fainted mid assault earlier! Plus while you do have a sword, I doubt you even know how to use it. " Tokkie glared back at Adam.

" Look, that only happened because I didn't know the limits of my mana and now I do, counting the number of times since I've used it, the max I can use it is probably 4 times. Knowing where our enemies are now, we can certainly use it to set up traps in order to make our job easier..." Adam said.

" As for the sword, you are right, I've never use one before, but I am sure you can give me a few pointers so that I can at least defend myself while you handle the rest..." Adam added.

" Some pointers? You are gonna get yourself killed!" Tokkie replied as if she heard the most ridiculous thing ever.

Ever since she was born, she has dedicated her life to the sword and yet this pleb thinks he can learn swordsmanship in mere minits as to subdue a whole party of goblins.

Zing!

The sound of a blade being drawn echoed through the chamber.

"Try me" Adam said as he assumes a standby position.

"There is no needs for swords, the clanging of metal will only draw the attention of nearby goblins to us." Tokkie said as she took out two sticks from her from her rugsack nearby and threw one to Adam.

"If you are that interested, show me what you've got. Prove me wrong." Tokkie said as she immediately lunge foward.

Her sudden movement caught Adam by suprise. He immediately dodge to the left to avoid the downward stroke of her attack.

Swoosh.

The pressure from her strike was so great that it created a vacumn where the sword cut down, causing air around it to get suck into it.

'God dam... Are you trying to kill me?` Adam thought to himself as he nearly just avoided that attack.

"For a pure novice, you sure are quick on ur feet. However, when the goblins attack, they strike to kill. There is... No mercy" As if she read Adams mind, Tokkie replied while almost immediately slashing her stick horizontally right where Adam was.

Through watching anime, his naruto instinct immediate told him that a second horizontal strike was comming. Adam immediately drew up his sword to block the strike but even then, he just made it in time.

However, he miscalculated how much protection doing that would afford him. He raised his sword vertically from his chest, pointing upward to the sky, right between his face.

PAH!

The sound of sticks slamming into each other. The strike from tokkie was so strong that it whipped Adams stick right at his face and chest leaving behind a cross mark on his chest and a long line from his for head to his chin.

"That mistake would have cost you your life..." Tokkie said as she withdrew her sword and assume ready position once more.

"Beep, stats has been enhanced, agility (4 > 6), endurance (5-6)" X-32 voice spoke.

"So, my stats increase base on usage. I see..." Adam said as he strugle to stand back up. Glancing infront, he saw not the figure of the slender lady whom he save earlier but a demoness who brings chills down his spine.

" Why are you using your skills? You think you can beat me with your shoddy swordsmanship alone? " Tokkie said in a haughty voice.

In all honesty, when she found out that he was the herald of chaos, she was star strucked as this was the object of worship for her entire faith. However, there is a saying that goes, never meet your stars and this time it turns out to be true.

The man infront of him was lecherous and basically weak. His only redeeming skill was his ability to control all earth within the dungeon but even that was severrly limited. She was interested to see what other skills the herald would have but all he has been doing up to now was avoid her attacks with his poor swordsmanship.

This was no longer entertaining and starting to border on insult...

"Skills? Oh right.... Let me have a look." Adam said. Just as he did, a list of skills that he has appeared in his mind.

" What the heck..." Adam said as he couldn't believe what he is seeing.
