They exited the office together, their footsteps echoing in the empty hallway. The sound gradually faded as they approached the lift.
Kim Seijin stole a sideways glance at Seung, scrutinizing him. Despite the chaos in Seung's life—the loss of his sister, the stripping of his power—he remained composed, his posture steady, his expression unreadable.
'I wonder what changed his mind,' Kim Seijin mused, pausing briefly as Seung stepped into the lift. 'But it seems he's accepted my offer for a reason. We're both using each other now. I'll play along.'
