Chapter 13: New experiences

Upon arriving at the city of Maroud despite their drama and setbacks, it amazed them at the size of city and it's diverse set of people. After saying their goodbye to the family, they rescued and giving a glare toward Kai, who almost got them kicked out in the place. Sirena took notice of the state of the city and its abundance of magic users. She wanted to take a tour, but she was waiting for an order from Todd.

"Okay, team!" Todd spoke up. "This is the city of Maroud, it is bigger than expected. We need to find the town's mayor and petition our proposal for her to accept our offers of an alliance."

"I trust, Kai is it not going to be a problem with you?" Ronald tilts his head. "If your racist and bigot attitude gets us kicked out like with the situation with -"

"Yo man, will you stop riding my ass about it?" Kai is getting frustrated with Ronald lecturing him.

"Look, I don't want have to punch you for that again. We are here to complete a mission! Is that going to be a problem?" Sirena asked him.

"What the hell is wrong with you all?" Suddenly, they heard cries for help.

"Team, move out!" Todd charge towards the sound with the rest of the team following his lead.

Vigilante Blues'

Upon arriving at the source of noise, they noticed a group of thugs harassing a man and his wife. With the guy pressing himself on the woman.

"Baby, let me showing you how a real man shows you a good time." The man smiled.

"Step away from the lady!" Todd commanded. "You call yourself, a real man? Since when they do crap like that?"

"And who the hell you think you are?" The man eyed of the rest of the team "Where your army, princess?"

"We are the army! But it's just that-" Ronald pipes when Todd shook his head for them not to do that.

"Hey Baby! Why are hanging around with these losers? Come with me, let me show you a good time." He leers at Sirena.

Sirena shoots him in the head instantly, much to the surprise of people in the room.

"You should have been more respectful." Sirena quips at the man she shot.

"Shit! Kill that bitch and her friends!" The man fires his guns.

When the bullets fly off, the team took cover and traded fire. Todd took headshots on some thugs in the bar. Ronald shot one of them that held the back in his hand and urge her to get out.

The power of levitation

However, during the gunfight, the woman's husband got up and quickly seeing the gunfight involving them. He quickly levitated in the air.

"Abominatio animae mundi in se…" the man quickly levitated the thugs in the air. "Contere Innocentiae In grano harenae!" the man crushed them up like grapes.

"The fuck!" Kai exclaims in horror as he quickly took Kuailax.

"Don't move, you floating bastard!" Todd trained his revolver on the man with Kai following suit.

"Hold on, guys! Stop!" Sirena blocked their way. "The man was in his rights to defend himself and you are going to shoot him because he wielded magic."

"Sirena, step aside!" Todd shouted for her to move.

"Freeze! All of you, put your weapon down!" a man's voice boomed.

"Look, sir! We-"

"Excuse me… let me through!" a woman made her way to them. She has blonde-hair and wears a white-collared shirt with a black blouse. "Put your weapon down!"

"Mayor Chelsea!" Sirena is surprised to see her. "It has been a long time since I have long seen you and-"

The next thing that happened, the mayor stretched out her arms like rubber. She knocked out the team's weapons from their hands like the crack of a whip. She used PSI to magnetically pulled the weapon towards her, including any hidden weapons they got.

"Guards! Take them to my office!" she ordered her men to detain them.
