CHAPTER - XXX

After listening to Natasha, Bruce finally decided to meet Monica, everyone could see Monica sitting and handcuffed through the glass without her noticing them.

Tony : "This will be very interesting, they haven't spoken to each other since the trial, I wonder if Bruce will be able to control himself when meeting the woman who used him?"

"We can only trust him" Natasha said.

Derek for his part after comforting Kamala went over to Natasha, Tony and Hank to watch the interrogation and concentrate on his enhanced hearing focused on Monica's heartbeat to find out what is true and what is not.

With Bruce

We can see Monica sitting waiting for them to come and question her quietly so seconds passed until the door to the room opens revealing Bruce

Monica : "Let me guess, they plan to reveal what Tarleton and I have done these years during the Adaptoids launch, thus declaring the triumphant return of the Avengers" deduced Monica, Bruce still with an unreadable look came to where Monica was, sitting at the same table.

"Imprisonment, torture, that's the way AIM plans to make the world a better place" said Bruce.

Monica smiled as if she was already expecting something like that "Ebola, smallpox, polio... Lethal if it weren't for lab rats" countered Monica.

Bruce : "Monica the inhumans are not sick, they are not a plague, you are the one who is sick, all you are interested in them are their powers to make your robots."

Monica : "Robots with full AI, capable of evaluating the most effective application of their powers, all that with minimal human casualties" she replied in an evaluative and overbearing manner.

'Yes, so complete that even so her best creation was defeated and destroyed twice by the same person' thought Derek upon hearing what Monica had said.

Getting tired of all this Monica asked him why he came.

Bruce : "Where is the lab Monica?.... you know you can use reverse engineering with the Terrigen, but... that would be catastrophic and you know it, you witnessed the A-DAY and you know that if you repeat it you will not only endanger the Inhumans, but all humanity" he said angry but still in control.

"Oh Bruce as far as I know the A-DAY is your fault, everyone knows that" the moment Monica said that (BOOM!)

Bruce hit the metal table with enough force to leave dents in it, but what stood out the most were his green eyes.

While with the rest seeing where this was going he shook his head, Nat cursed and Tony wondered how much more the table would hold.

"She got what she wanted to get Bruce off his rocker" Derek said causing everyone to nod in agreement.

Bruce took a couple of breaths as he watched Monica smile indicating that was what she wanted him to lose control, unclenching his fists to relax

Bruce : "It's all an experiment for you in that twisted mind of yours isn't it?"

"Tarleton...the inhumans...and I was too...haha what an idiot I was" Bruce said sadly in his own mocking laughter directed likewise, getting up to leave the room and turn around but before he left Monica spoke to him one last time.

"Even if you go all over the planet, every little place on earth and the skies you won't find anything from the lab about where the first Inhumans captured since A-DAY are" said Monica.

Bruce listening to her stopped for a few seconds before leaving the place, the moment he came out he was greeted by everyone's stares "Sorry I got carried away guys"

"I'll go, I'll see to it that if she could give me the information from the lab" Nat said walking over to Monica before being stopped by Derek's words.

Derek : "It's no use Nat"

"What do you mean Derek?" asked Natasha.

"The whole time Bruce was interrogating her I was monitoring Monica's heartbeat in case she was telling a lie and at no time did her heartbeat fluctuate" said Derek noticing all eyes on him.

Derek : "What I am getting at is that the lab is not on the planet, it is useless for us to look for it, she said so herself in her prepotency."

"Maybe it's her way of expressing herself, giving us to understand that we won't be able to find it even if we try" Hank said, making everyone have different ideas until Kamala who had been silent all this time spoke up.

Kamala : "No! Derek is right!"

"On what Kamala?" asked Tony.

Kamala : "Let's see, when I was captured, Monica AND Tarleton were arguing with one of the funders of the adaptoids, until Tarleton disconnected, I watched as Monica went through the coordinates of a satellite called 'AMBROSIA'"

Kamala told them implying what she was getting at and further supporting Derek's theory, Lucy who had still been on his shoulder all this time reacted by finding files on the AMBROSIA project.

Lucy: "Derek I have some fragmented files with that name, do you want me to show what I was able to get."

"Do it" said Derek and Lucy holographically projected what little information she had.

"AMBROSIA? This used to be a SHIELD project on biomedical research I helped a bit in putting it together at Nick's request, but I remember it under a different name, I will always recognize my work, I can only think that AIM must have acquired this after the merger and all that was taken from me" commented Tony.

"This is more than perfect for hiding evidence of the experiments isn't it?" asked Derek.

"If someone wanted to study Inhumans at the cellular level, zero gravity would be the ideal place" replied Bruce to Derek's question.

"Kids you would make excellent detectives, good job training him Natasha" praised Tony looking at Nat who was leaning against the wall listening and analyzing everything that happened with a smile.

"You just lack imagination Tony" replied Derek making Natasha smile and respond to Tony's praise

Natasha : "What can I say, I'm good at what I do" smiled Nat having little flashbacks of when she trained Derek.

She walked over to the crystal and touched a section to speak "Thank you for your cooperation, second rate villain" Natasha said it with great mockery making Monica at the sound of her voice grimace even without any idea that thanks to the two inhumans who had caused her so many headaches they had helped find the lab she so rejoiced at thinking they would never find it.

Tony smiled seeing Monica's frown not knowing that they had already discovered the possible location of the lab, looking at those involved in this he thought that Derek and Kamala would make good leaders in the future if they formed their own teams as superheroes

Tony : "Alright kids I think it's time for you to go to your rooms and rest, more you two, Derek, Kamala have not yet fully recovered."

Derek didn't deny what Tony said even though his body had fully recovered and was no longer as fatigued as before he has to admit that feeling your body regenerate itself is very uncomfortable and stressful, that's why he nodded in agreement while looking at Nat who nodded and moved her lips (We'll talk when you get to your room, I haven't forgotten our conversation) she said so only Derek can understand.

Kamala didn't refuse either she still felt very tired from overusing her powers, though she saw that Cassie still didn't want to leave and she could understand why but she admits that they have to make a plan or several if they plan to rescue the still captured inhumans, taking Cassie's hand making her look at her she shook her head.

Kamala : "Cassie they are right we should go now."

"But..." tried to answer Cassie but was interrupted "I know but this time they listened to us and let us be here Cassie, now we must trust them" countered Kamala as she stood up and started to leave the place slowly being followed by Cassie who reluctantly followed her and Derek behind them.

"Easy Cassie, we have to trust them they have a lot to think about now, besides we already proved to be very helpful" comforted Derek.

"Speak for yourself, I didn't do anything at any time actually I don't know what I was even doing there" denied Cassie lowering her gaze a little depressed remembering that her friends were the only ones who contributed in Monica's interrogation, she looked up as she felt Kamala holding her hand.

"It's not like that, you know without your help Derek wouldn't have managed to infiltrate AIM and rescue me, without you I would have felt like I didn't fit in the anthill" comforted Kamala making her smile.

Derek walked up to the two of them and put his hands on their shoulders to pull them as close to his body as possible

Derek : "You know without you I don't know what I would have done girls, you know I really appreciate meeting you in that park my rubber girl and you Cassie may have only known each other for a short time and in that short time you have become someone very important in my life" said Derek still walking towards their rooms and making them smile.

Still talking and not letting them go until they got to Kamala's room, Derek took advantage of this by pulling them a little closer and kissing them on the cheek taking them by surprise and going to his room across the hall along with Tony's and Nat's room.

A small smile forms on Derek's face as he sees the notification as he walks into his room.

With Tony, Bruce, Hank and Natasha

"Well we know where we need to go, we just need a way to get there" commented Tony making those present look at him waiting for a solution, Tony was about to answer them but Jarvis interrupted him.

Jarvis: "Don't tell me you're thinking about the Starboost project, sir?"

Tony: "Exactly my friend."

Jarvis: "But as I recall sir you abandoned it because it couldn't generate enough acceleration in the auxiliary thruster."

"Yes I know...I know, but now we have the metal created by Derek and Mr. Miniature" replied Tony to Jarvis' comments.

"Don't tell me you plan to shrink the throttle but not before upgrading it with the help of Derek and his metal" questioned Hank.

Tony : "That's what I plan to do."

"But Tony, do you have a way to cool the suit and keep it from exploding from so much acceleration and energy" asked Bruce as he calculated the energy and acceleration the suit would have to withstand.

"Yes, but I will use as a base the system that Monica used in the armor that Nat fought with, although I must say that I am surprised that armor can use two powers" said Tony making Nat raise an eyebrow remembering that the suit he faced only used one power not two.

"With this we know what to do, we have to rescue the Inhumans still alive, we can't fail them a second time" Bruce said remembering all that AIM has done to the young Inhumans.

"I agree with this, call me when you have everything ready brains" said Nat leaving the room.

Once Nat came out everything went silent with Tony being the first to break such a state

Tony : "I hope she and the boy work out their problems."

'Although I have a lot of explaining to do to Pepper too' thought Tony.

"I hope so, Derek is one of the few people Natasha has been able to show her expressions to with the exception of us when Steve was still around" nodded Bruce knowing that they had all let Nat down in many ways especially him.

Nat still not knowing that they were talking about her headed towards her room coming to Derek's and stopping, she was about to knock on the door until she heard Kamala and Cassie's voices coming from one of the rooms down the hall, not wanting them to overhear her conversation with Derek she took out her phone and texted Derek.

Nat : *Come to my room, we need to talk.*

Derek : *Ok*

She texted and sent derek and within a second she received a reply, she nodded and went to her room, leaving the door unlocked for Derek to enter, the moments he walked in she saw everything as it had been left her bed suitcases with SHIELD logos and a special music box set on a table, she smiled and walked over to the box to give it a little tap and it opened and a ballet doll came out at the same time the music started to play.

"It's been years... and I can't get rid of you right?" she said it with nostalgia as she observes and walked towards the suitcases with the SHIELD logo

She opened one showing that they were weapons (Pistols) "Hello my loves Did you miss me?" she said it as she checked and put the cartridge but someone entered at that moment.

Nat turned and pointed to the person noticing that it was Derek who didn't even flinch for that and just raised an eyebrow.

"Sorry old spy habits" she apologized as she took the cartridge out of the gun and put it back in the case and turned her focus back to Derek.

"So..." Derek tried to start a sentence in the face of the awkward silence.

"What did you do these last three years" Nat interrupted as she sat on the bed and gestured for Derek to sit down.

Derek : "Well the first few weeks I was waiting for you to come back, but when time kept passing and you never came back, I seriously thought I was abandoned"

Derek : "well you know I thought that for a while I won't deny it I got depressed, my parents died leaving me alone back then and you came to save me when they were going to kill me, I never thanked you for that, Thank you Nat!" that was something the owner of this body always wanted to tell her and never dared to tell him.

Natasha : "You remember?"

Derek : "Yes I remember it perfectly, you know the first time I saw you I thought I want to be strong, powerful like you to never lose anyone important in my life again, that's why I tried so hard to get the scholarship given by the Avengers, only to get kicked in the face when the A-DAY happened."

Derek : "Everyone hates beings with powers so much so that I got kicked out of the orphanage, only to meet again when I tried to steal your wallet and you gave me the worst beating of my life."

Derek : "Although I still don't know why you just didn't just leave me lying there even though I was not seriously injured, you dragged me with you to your apartment, you fed me, give me a place I could call home Nat.... for as long as it lasted" he said as the memories passed and affected him.

Natasha : "Derek I didn't abandon you because I wanted to believe me, although I won't deny that I took you with me out of a selfish desire, you know when I met you for the second time your red eyes reminded me of myself when I didn't know what to do with my life... I had to leave because AIM had found out where I was, that's why I left you money and clues to get you out of there."

Derek : "I know Nat it took me time to understand that, that's why I never held a grudge it was just hard for me."

"I'm sorry Derek at the time I did it for your own good, but what bothers me is that you tried to commit suicide" apologized Nat then started to get angry.

"What?" replied Derek remembering when he transmigrated to this world, he was lying in an alley badly injured.

Natasha : "You told Tony, Bruce and Hank yourself."

Derek : "Don't try to kill me"

Natasha : "Derek everything you just told me proves it, nd I trained you enough that you could react to human attacks and if they were a group the most you'd get would be a few scratches, tell me how you think I can believe you"

"Why did I wanted to see you again!...I wanted you to tell me yourself why you left, I wasn't committing suicide" shouted Derek surprising her, seeing how she reacted.

Derek : "I don't know what happened that day, because I couldn't move like I wanted to I just felt my body heavy, empty and then pain, while I was attacked by that group of idiots."

Derek : "By the time I woke up my powers had changed, my flames were more lethal stronger, easier to handle, my control with metal had increased not only that I could generate it from my body mold it or transform parts of my body as weapons and cover myself" said Derek between truth and lie remembering that the old Derek wished to meet again with Natasha.

Natasha : "Hey, calm Derek I understand, I believe you, I was also at fault in this, you are also important to me, I want that engraved in your brain, you are important and always will be to me"

Nat as she wiped the tears on Derek's face that even he didn't know she had kissed his forehead, Derek looked at her and saw how a tear fell down from Nat's face, he moved his hand closer wiping the tear and hugged her.

Nat also responded to the hug, but let out a grunt when Derek applied a little more force as he pulled her closer causing him to gently release her and look at her

Derek whispered scanning to see how a magic circle formed in one of his eyes and began to look at her closely especially where she was hurt which was her cracked ribs not counting a few bruises here and there.

"What did you do, is it something to do with your powers" Nat asked, "Not really, this is magic, in these years that you were away I checked my old home and found a hidden section in the house, there I found many books that talk about magic and mystical forces, in them I learned many things even how to create my own personal space, that's how I made the adaptoids we found in Monica's lab disappear" lied Derek partly because technically the system is like his personal bookstore, only he has to pay to learn the specific books he asks the system for

Derek : "Right now I'm using White Magic, the spell is called Scan, it scans and looks for any wounds and damage on the one I use it on."

"I see, so you're looking at me naked" she said it mockingly trying to embarrass him.

"Not quite, the spell points me to the injured area first then I look at it like x-rays to see how bad you are, luckily your ribs are only cracked not affecting any internal organs and the odd bruise" Derek said.

"You know I think I'm going to miss when you were embarrassed about anything" said Nat.

Derek : "That was when I was twelve Nat, plus you were walking around in your underwear in the apartment...but leaving that behind if you want I can fix you up."

"Haa don't tell me you have to be in contact with the affected area, therefore I have to take off what I'm wearing" she thought it out loud analytically and then looked at Derek who looked at her surprised by what she said

"You know for White Magic it's a bit perverted to use, I thought you would form a white sphere in your hand and send it towards the affected area saying heal" she said to Derek but this time she smiled seeing him blush.

"But that's okay" and without further ado she started to remove the top of the suit, revealing her white skin and a stretchy sports bra.

Derek admired Natasha's well groomed body and toned stomach making it a little hard for him to control himself because of his growing hormones, taking a breath he concentrated and used Heal covering his hand with white energy and touching the injured area as he watched the ribs repair in seconds, a minute later the ribs were healed.

Derek then continued with the bruises down her arms and stomach until he came to a small scar near where the uterus should be, he already knew how Nat had that scar.

Derek lovingly touched the scar but the moment he touched it Nat trembled he looked at her and it was the first time he saw that look on Natasha fear as if she remembered something she never wanted to remember, letting himself go he moved closer to the scar and kissed her, surprising her and making her stop trembling.

"Better?" he asked her as he looked at her.

Natasha : "Yes thank you."

"When you are ready I hope you tell me about this scar, take care Nat" Derek told her as he noticed that the previous state was gone and she needed to be alone, he got up and left.

Nat was about to hold Derek's hand so he wouldn't leave but before doing so she regretted it and watched him leave, then she secured the door so no one would come in and went to bed not before taking off her entire outfit leaving her naked leaving her big breast and pink nipples next to her private area with a red tuft.

Once in bed she looked at the emptiness and asked herself as she carefully touched her scar "I should tell him about my past."

With Derek

The moment he entered the room he sat on the bed (Why is it so hard for me to control myself now?) he asked himself.

[ well Host it's because you're a part Dragon, if it wasn't for your X and inhuman gene that help you in most of your hormonal and temperamental changes or it could have been even worse. ]

"I understand thanks, but can you answer me something, Nat feels affection or something for me because the system does not register her, Theo, Dante and other inhumans here have respect (Reputation) for me, but she have nothing."

[ It is because you do not see yourself as the Derek, of this dimension nor do you accept yourself as such at all sir, that is why you still do not assimilate all the memories, she feels affection for you, and although you do not accept it you are now and always Derek, I would recommend you to solve that problem sir since that is one of the requirements to upgrade me and so you can keep leveling up plus you are already at the level needed to get your first job but for that you need to pass a test ('spoiler' Dungeons) which you can do after upgrading me. ]

Still sitting there not knowing what to do, he partly understood what the system meant, but he didn't know how to accept himself that way, since he still looks like the person or being that stole this body, he thought until he inadvertently fell asleep.
