CHAPTER - XXII
In the command room of the Ant Hill, were Hank Pym, Bruce, Theo, an unknown boy with one leg in a cast with a crutch and Tony on a screen communicating from the Chimera finishing the last adjustments to take it to the Ant Hill.
"Wait you're telling me that the girl, went alone to one of the most heavily guarded bases on AIM, because of those two brats" Tony said as he pointed at Theo and the other boy with irritation, causing Theo and the other to lower their heads.
hank : "Yes, it seems that Theo was able to sense his sister, as well as having visions for small lapses of what they are doing to the Inhumans, but in one of them he saw Dante's mother" Hank replied.
"I see, so I can deduce that Theo and his sister are telepathically connected" Bruce commented thoughtfully.
Theo : "Yes my sister and I are twins, but we became more connected after our powers awakened, not to mention we have the same powers, I have been trying to connect with her since AIM took her away, I thought with the help of the anthill I would find her, but there was no sign of her until yesterday I had those visions, she tried to communicate with me"
"I see..., how did Derek take it, he and Kamala have been very close I don't think he just took it very well" Tony said as he massaged the bridge of his nose.
"Not only that, they've gotten through everything together, Derek won't take it well at all, there's a very good chance he's going to rescue her himself" said Bruce a little worried.
But at that the door was kicked in by Derek, with a face of few friends, looking straight at Theo, everyone knowing what would happen tried to stop him, but Derek disappeared in a blur, appearing in front of Theo and grabbing him by the neck, slamming him against the wall.
"I'll only ask once, why Kamala wanted to go to the AIM base and why didn't you come back with her" Derek spoke with small wisps of fire coming out of his body, showing how angry he was,
Derek : "And don't even think about lying to me, because I'll know when you're lying to me."
"Dude, I won't lie to you I swear, okay, I'll tell you everything that happened, just calm down" shouted Theo scared as he felt the strength in Derek's grip, as he held Derek's arm.
"Derek I know you're angry, but you need to calm down" said Bruce as he moved closer, to stop a meter away from him, Hank for his part did the same, a few seconds later the wisps of fire stopped coming out of Derek's body, but he still wouldn't let go of Theo, until he felt another hand in his grip and saw Cassie looking at him, with concern.
Cassie : "Derek I know you're angry, because of what this idiot did, but you need to calm down, right now, he's the only one who can tell us what happened and help bring Kamala back" she said as with her other hand she rubbed Derek's cheek, trying to get him to calm down, partially succeeding.
"Speak" was all Derek said
Theo nodded quickly "I ran into Kamala while going to the anthill training room, so I wouldn't get rusty, and suggested she come with me to meet other inhumans, until the subject of my sister and my visions came up, I commented to her that I knew where she was being held, and about wanting to go rescue her, I suggested that she come with me, because I never believed that Doctor Hank would let me go or make it alone, she said she would comment to you, but I don't know why hours later she herself demanded me to go there."
"I think, it may be my fault, that she decided to do it" Dante said making himself noticeable.
"Dante... What do you mean?" asked Cassie in doubt.
"I..."

FLASH BACK
Kamala can be seen walking thoughtfully around the Ant Hill training room, she was deciding what to do with what Theo told her, that would explain why AIM has the ability to teleport, (They are draining Theo's sister's powers, every day to teleport syntezoids, she is nothing more than a battery for them), Kamala thought, clenching her fists so tightly that with a little more they would bleed.
But some screams and explosions brought her out of her thoughts, the noise was coming from another section of the training room, deciding to see what it was she walked in the direction where the explosions were coming from, finding a boy throwing fireballs at the targets, or what used to be syntezoids.
"Wow, fire powers.... How intense" she whispered even unnoticed, while thinking (although Derek's flames are stronger, this boy's flames barely do anything to them, while Derek's flames once they make contact with the syntezoids, it starts to melt them or go through them, not even the adaptoid was the exception).
The boy was still practicing his powers on the targets, without noticing Kamala, she noticed that he was hurt, his left leg in a cast, managing to stand thanks to a crutch, until he slipped falling to the floor, Kamala approached to help him, but noticing her he was surprised, he raised his hand for Kamala to stop.
"I'm fine..., I'm just a little tired from training" said the boy.
"Your powers are amazing, the explosions and all that, you know I know someone with powers similar to yours... although I have powers too" spoke Kamala, the boy just looked at her without saying anything, "Eh, I'm polymorph, I think so... you know it's cool I can stretch my arms and stuff, although it's a little hard trying not to look ridiculous..... haha" Kamala was starting to get nervous.
"You're inhuman" Said the boy.
"Yeah, that I'm just like you... uh what's your name" she said sitting a distance away from him.
"Dante" he answered her, Kamala decided to ask about what happened to him "What happened to you" looking at Dante's leg.
Dante : "I broke my leg running away"
"I see, at least you made it didn't you!" smiled Kamala.
"My mom came back for me, letting herself be captured for me to escape, so yes I made it" said Dante with mockery and contempt as well
Kamala stopped smiling looking sad, "I... sorry, but the Avengers will arrive in a couple of days Yes?" said Kamala trying to reassure him, "They will take the prison and your mom will be safe..." but she couldn't continue, as she was interrupted by Dante.
"A couple of days... Why won't anyone listen to me!" shouted Dante in frustration, "I heard Doctor Pym, they will move all the prisoners somewhere else!"
"I'm sure they'll find them" said Kamala, but that didn't work he just mocked her.
"No, they won't! Your Avengers will be too late, just like they always have" she shouted as he tried to get up with the help of her crutch with effort.
"Wait let me help you" Kamala gets up and tried to help him, but Dante got more frustrated and wouldn't let her help him.
"It's just that don't you understand, we are inhuman, they don't care about us" Dante decided to ignore Kamala and continue training his power.
"That's not true... I have to tell Bruce" Kamala whispered to herself, leaving the training room.
Once Kamala left Dante stopped, and scratched his head, "She was just trying to help me, I'm an idiot, I shouldn't have talked to her like that."
END OF FLASHBACK

"Ok we get where the fireworks kid is taking us, Bruce, did Kamala talk to you" asked Tony, noticing that Derek was calmer, thanks to Cassie holding his hand tightly and occasionally glancing at a nervous Theo.
Bruce : "Mm, yes she came over when I was talking to Hank about what we need for the Chimera, at which point Kamala arrived."

FLASH BACK
"Bruce can we talk" Kamala said, seeing Hank and Bruce negotiating about what they needed for the Chimera.
"Uh yes, of course we can" said Bruce approaching her.
"AIM will take the Inhumans they have captured somewhere else... soon, if we don't do something we can't find them" Kamala said quickly.
"I understand..." but she couldn't go on because of Hank, "You've spoken to Dante", "Ok.... Who is Dante?" asked Bruce, "He's one of the surviving Inhumans, he and his mother awakened Inhuman powers, we managed to get him out of the most protected AIM base, but we couldn't rescue his mother, not to mention our escape caused them to increase security measures drastically."
"Bruce we have to help them" she said.
Bruce : "That, not a good idea."
Kamala : "Why, there are Inhumans inside, they are experimenting on them and also on Dante's mom, we can't just sit idly by Bruce."
"I know, I know, Kamala and we will not stand idly by, right now we just sent what Tony was missing to bring the Chimera and in less than a day we will have the chimera here, we just have to wait" Bruce was trying to make Kamala understand.
Kamala : "I don't understand, we have a Hulk, Derek, Cassie and Theo he can get us in can't he?" she said blankly.
"Kamala Hulk is not invincible and even less so at the moment he is in a weakened state because of me, you saw what Tony and Derek went through to defeat an Adaptoid, it is 100% certain that they will not just have even one Adaptoid waiting for us" Bruce said, "We need a plan."
"Kamala, what Bruce says is true, the resistance has been trying to infiltrate that place for months, getting out is easier than getting in and that we had help, and at ground level it's almost impossible to penetrate" said Hank negatively.
"You saw what we did, what I can do, I know I can help", "Kamala it's very dangerous, Derek would say the same thing and you know it" Bruce said softly to reassure her, "You don't understand, they experiment, they torture us, because of our powers, you are not inhuman".
Bruce ducked his head at what Kamala said, she wanted to apologize, but couldn't say anything when she heard him, "I'm sorry, but you're not ready" Bruce said and went back to talking to Hank.
Kamala knew she was being irrational, with Bruce and Hank, but all this had her very irritated, she decided to go to her room leaving them to their own.
END OF FLASHBACK

"This time Kamala was reckless, she should have told me, although I doubt I would have convinced her, in the end I would have gone with her too" Derek said as he sighed, but in the hand Cassie was holding was a sheet of metal, with a written message giving it to her.
"Tell me what do you plan to do?" asked Derek to the adults present
"What I told Kamala hasn't changed Derek, we will wait for Tony to bring the Chimera, to organize a plan and rescue both Kamala and the Inhumans in AIM custody" said Bruce.
"I see, then I don't have, why be here" said Derek leaving the room, once he left Hank looked at his daughter, Theo and Dante, "You should leave too kids", they still with resignation, left the room, once outside Cassie looked at metal sheet given to her by Derek and saw a message.
'come to my training room and bring the two idiots'.
A few minutes later we can see Derek enter his training room, while he saw the mission that the system gave him.

*Save Kamala from AIM's clutches.
Objectives: Hidden
Failure: Death of Kamala and the kidnapped Inhumans, less reputation with the Avengers and Cassie.
Rewards: Will be given depending on how well you complete the mission.
Derek became more irritated, a few seconds later he calmed down, he knows that the system is just trying to help him as it can, and just because of the mission, he could tell that it would be very dangerous, but at that moment Cassie entered with Theo and Dante behind her.
"Theo I understand, why you did all that, and I know you are not entirely to blame, but what you haven't told me is why, only you and Dante came back" Derek questioned them, Cassie approached him, but what he asked Theo also intrigued her.
