CHAPTER - XLVII

Jennifer : "Oh come on Sue we were just having fun, weren't we?" said Jen looking at Derek.

Derek : "Well... I'm not going to deny it, I'm enjoying fighting such a sexy Amazon, more so with that green skin" replied Derek without a hint of embarrassment.

She smiled at Derek's comment.

Susan just denied seeing the headache these two would bring her, but she was also happy to see that Jennifer was finally being herself since the blood transfusion and her transformation, she had been dealing with many problems, doubts, body disacion, even drinking problems (although it doesn't affect her thanks to her Gamma physiology), but she must admit that the looks and the light flirting of a teenager like Derek was working in making her regain her confidence.

Susan : "Derek follow me, I'll give you real tests here"

Susan cancelled the shield that enclosed Jen and led Derek into another room and made him sit down.

Susan : "I want you to say the letter that appears on the screen, starting... now" she said and on the screen F appeared in big bold text.

"F... G... Q..." repeated Derek as the letter appeared, as the seconds passed the letters became smaller and faster but thanks to his senses, plus his enhanced vision he managed to say all the letters, before he could already see a few meters away, now that he has leveled up his eyes are at another level.

Susan : "Your eyesight and reaction time are beyond human" she said and wrote down on some papers

Susan : "Alright now go to the treadmill, it's time for some physical tests" Derek nodded and started running.

Susan : "I'll start increasing the speed, you tell me when you can't" he nodded as he listened to her.

Everyone paid attention, first it was 5km per hour, no problem, 10 km nothing, 15 km per hour, for Derek it was just like walking, at 20 km he started jogging.

Susan kept increasing the speed, 25 km per hour, he kept jogging, 40 km per hour, Derek was jogging faster, 75 km per hour, Derek finally started running without any sign of fatigue, the speed increased to 100 km suddenly making Derek run seriously.

Susan was about to stop him but Natasha prevented her.

Natasha : "Keep going he hasn't reached his limit yet" said Nat.

Even with doubts Susan increased the speed to 130 km per hour, then to 140 km, this time Derek was giving it his all, he did it for ten minutes

Susan : "Hey stop the machine, that's my maximum speed"

The treadmill stopped and Derek took a breath wiping his sweat, recovering in seconds his energy.

Susan : "Get some rest, so I can test your strength".

"I'm fine now it just takes me a few seconds to get my energy back" Derek said walking as if nothing.

"I feel sorry for the girl...or girls you take to bed" commented Jen then looking at both Kamala and Cassie and giving Natasha a sidelong glance, causing the former to blush and Nat to raise an eyebrow.

Susan : "Jen, please they're children."

Jennifer : "And, they already know more things about sex than you did at their age" Jennifer replied.

"Hey" took offense Susan.

"She's right sis" spoke Johnny.

"Let's just move on to the next test, come on Derek" said Susan walking out as she dragged Derek along.

"This is fun, there's action, it gets sporty there's comedy and innuendo" commented Theo earning a nod from Dante, who smiled at the whole thing.

Meanwhile Derek was in a metal vise, the kind they use to crush cars, only smaller, with space a little bigger than a person

Susan : "This was specially made to test the limits of Ben and Jen's strength, here we can test your strength, so we'll do it like before, I'll increase the weight slowly and you'll let me know when you can't" without further ado the vise started to slowly lower.

Derek raised his hands with palms outstretched, he also flexed his knees, the press touched his hands and began to exert force 1 ton, 2, 3, 4, 5... 10 tons, which was lifted easily and kept increasing, 20 ton, 30 ton, 40 ton, 50 ton and 60 ton.

This was where beads of sweat began to form on Derek's face the more he passed the 60 ton mark the more pressure he felt, bringing him to almost kneeling.

Susan : "Looks like this is your limit the deten..."

"No... I can still keep going" shouted Derek stopping Susan, without further use of muscle control to the max, showing how every muscle in his arms, back, chest, abdomen compressed and twisted allowing him to exert more force than he should, he slowly rose from the position he was in.

"Alright, I'll keep increasing" she started to raise the tons, 70, 80, 90, 100, being the maximum he could reach with the new muscles his body had, with no other option to active Titanic Strength.

He didn't know how to explain it but it felt like he could lift anything he wanted.

The machine kept on doing pressure and Derek felt more pressure each time but not to the extreme.

But seeing how his mana reduced and regenerated like crazy was different, until the rig shut down and stopped doing pressure.

Susan : "Congratulations you are in third place in the building strength record, being the first Ben with class one hundred strength able to lift an oil rig giving it his all"

Susan : "Jen able to fight a Hulk in anger and able to increase her strength when she gets angry, and now there is you, you are like a little Titan able to lift tons as long as you demand it" explained Susan when Derek came out of the machine.

Derek : "Waoo... my physical changes have been tremendous haven't they, I didn't even have to use my powers or magic to increase my strength."

Susan : "What, you can increase your strength and magic more, why didn't you say so?" she quickly approached him and started shaking him as she asked.

Derek : "You didn't ask, besides how do you think I could hold out so long against Abomination?"

Susan : "Haa, we know you're a genius from what Tony said, variable strength but can get to class 100 and beyond, super speed, vision and super senses."

Susan : Haaa, I already scanned you on every test and everything seems fine, although I think you should rest since you've only been awake for a few hours"

Susan suggested but at that the growl of a beast sounded startling everyone.

Derek clutched his stomach in embarrassment "I... I'm sorry but I think I'm hungry, could I borrow your kitchen to prepare myself or us something" asked Derek noticing the look on the girls' faces when they heard he was going to cook, especially Kamala.

Susan : "Sure, you can do whatever you want."

Without further ado he went straight to the kitchen, looking at what was in the fridge and asked "Do you want me to prepare something for you too, from what I see here what you eat the most is pizza?"

"Me, please, I'm already starting to be disgusted by pizza" said Jennifer already annoyed.

"Well no one here knows how to cook and we hardly have time so we might as well order pizza, although it would be nice to eat something healthy once in a while" smiled Susan happily.

"I'll finally eat something besides pizza, but a little piece wouldn't hurt" said Ben grabbing a slice of Pizza from the table, causing Susan and Jen to shake their heads.

While in the kitchen Derek opened the fridge, only to find eggs and bacon, frozen mini pizzas which was a lot, not to mention more junk food.

Derek : "You should buy healthier food, for a couple of scientists and all the case I'm surprised they don't watch their health" commented Derek loud enough for them to hear.

'Let's see what I can make, there's dehydrated mash, canned mushrooms, onions, red sauce, liquor, eggs, sweet wine, butter and bacon, this? I think I can make fake pork' he thought remembering the anime about culinary orgasms.

From then on Derek concentrated on cooking testing what the level 3 Cooking skill could do, everyone smelled the aroma of the food which the more time passed the hungrier they got, after an hour in the kitchen he came out with the first dishes which was fake pork.

Settling the plate on the table he transformed his arm into a sword when he saw the hand that was going to touch the food and pointed to the person

"I haven't brought out the other plate yet, so wait a minute until I bring it out, ok?" said Derek with a smile that sent shivers down Johnny's spine as he was pointed at by Derek's transformed arm.

Johnny : "Yes sir."

He returned to the kitchen and within seconds returned with a large pot of rice and seasoned egg along with eleven plates, he sat down and handed out the food equally to everyone.

"Now if you can eat" instantly people began to eat without exception and groans could be heard along with multiple affectionate highs from Cerise, Jennifer, Susan, Cassie, Kamala and Natasha.

"Hey did you'll like it? tell me" asked Derek earning a nod from everyone, but seeing everyone's blushing faces was spectacular, although he didn't know that Ben in his rock form could blush or rather be noticed, but at that Jennifer stuck to him snapping him out of his thoughts.

Jennifer : "Tell me Derek, you're strong, smart and you can cook, you're the complete package, and you don't have a girlfriend, I'd think you were gay if it wasn't for the look you're giving me."

Derek : "Says the woman, with a super model body coming on with such revealing clothes to a young pubescent boy like me, with hormonal problems, so don't push your luck woman or you might get burned" Jennifer was thinking of continuing with the flirting but a voice stopped her.

"Get away from him" Kamala shouted enlarging her hands, stretching them out and pulling them apart.

Jennifer raised her hands and walked away, Derek knew she was joking seeing the affection she had for him but he knew there were 2 or maybe 3 people here angry about this "It's ok Kamala, Jennifer was just joking" he tried to appease Kamala but she just got up and walked away from there with her plate in hand.

"Don't take it the wrong way Derek, she hasn't had a very good time since what happened to you" Cassie said trying to get Derek to understand why Kamala left.

Derek : "I see...I'm sorry guys if it wasn't for my selfishness of leaving you and leaving in the middle of the mission we might not be here."

"Maybe so but if you hadn't done it you would regret that all your life, we all understand why you did it, no one believes that you going to save one of the most important people in your life was bad" Cassie replied as she grabbed his hand.

Susan : "Alright children, you can go to your rooms or use the training rooms, I have to go and examine the results the scans came back on every test we did on you Derek"

Susan got everyone's attention, she got up and went to her lab, but not before taking Jen with her, Nat for his part followed Susan wanting to know what the tests done on Derek would come back with Yelena.

Theo, Dante and Cerise picked up their dishes taking them to the laundry room leaving Derek and Cassie alone

"Thanks Cassie for everything, I'm glad to have you by my side" smiled gently Derek putting his hand on the patch she has on her face, using heal, Cassie felt how the warm energy surrounded her wound and the small twinges she felt disappeared, after a second the bandage fell off showing only her smooth skin without any wounds.

"That's what friends are for Derek and thank you I was getting worried it would leave a mark" Cassie thanked taking off the bandage, grabbing a spoon using it to see herself glad she didn't notice any wounds on her face, she stood up and kissed Derek's cheek and walked away leaving him alone.

"You're welcome, I wouldn't want a beautiful face like yours to be ruined because of me" Derek replied earning a smile from Cassie.
