CHAPTER - XLV

Nat started to stir until she woke up, feeling her body heavy slowly observing the room with metallic walls, then she looked at her arm which was connected to machines, she saw how a woman in a blue suit with a four logo on her chest.

"Looks like you woke up and in a good mood, how are you feeling" Susan said with a reassuring smile.

"Like I got hit by a truck, but I am so surprised to see you Susan" Nat expressed herself.

"Well I couldn't watch a friend who was on the brink of death and do nothing" joked Susan.

"What you are feeling right now is from the blood loss" she said seeing discomfort on Nat's face as she moved.

Natasha : "Wait how did you know what happened to me, where is the rest and how long was I unconscious"

Nat stirred, she lifted up her robe revealing her beautiful figure and bare breasts in front of Susan.

Nat was surprised to see no wounds, she remembered perfectly where Abomination had impaled her, she then looked at Susan for answers.

Susan : "Haaa, first of all it's only been a day since it happened, the one who cured you was the boy named Derek with the help of his robot Lucy" explained Susan sitting next to her trying to reassure her.

But it wasn't working because more questions were forming in her head

Susan : "The reason we knew what was happening with you was because somehow, Derek sent information about what was happening with the inhumans and you, but when we arrived everything was over..."

"Derek, Yelena and the rest of the team where are they" Natasha interrupted.

Susan : "Well some of the kids were a little hurt and needed treatment, so we suggested bringing them to the Baxter Building to treat them, while the rest returned to the Chimera, as for Yelena she is fine, at the moment we are doing tests, to know what AIM did to her body" she finished explaining.

But Nat was still looking at her, waiting for her to give more explanations "And Derek where is he" she asked again noticing that Susan was trying to dodge the subject "He..."

"He was the one who fought Abomination wasn't he?" completed Nat surprising Susan, already knowing she was right by Susan's expression she continued asking "How is he" before Susan could answer, the door opened again being Yelena who came in.

Yelena : "Why don't you better take her to see him, that would be best" she said to Susan.

She approached Nat and hugged her "Sorry... sister if it wasn't for me none of this would have happened".

Nat reciprocated the hug, remembering how sentimental Yelena was when she was a child she realized she hasn't changed much "It's not your fault, no one was prepared this time for what AIM had for us".

Nat broke away from the embrace and tried to stand up almost falling over as she became dizzy

"Be careful even though your wounds have healed, you haven't regained the lost blood" Susan warned her.

Yelena helps her up making her arm around her neck and while holding her waist, leaving the room they walked through the medical room of the building, seeing Dante who was still unconscious lying on a stretcher.

Cassie who had bandages on her face with her leg in a cast

Kamala who had bandages on some areas of her body but no serious injuries except for having swollen eyes with traces of tears on her face, then there were Theo and Cerise who were watching TV, seeing them they smiled.

Then they went into a room in which there was a large tank filled with a green liquid, inside it was Derek connected to detectors which measured his heart rate, nervous system and on a screen showed an internal version of Derek's body.

Without her noticing it, a tear fell from Nat's face being noticed only by Yelena "How is he" asked Natasha, only this time Susan didn't answer.

Lucy: "Most of his bones are broken, 50% of the muscles are torn, some organs are failing, not to mention that his heart is too weak I would say it's a miracle that he is alive."

Lucy answered, making them look at her.

Lucy: "But still his body is starting to heal itself... no rather to evolve, maybe it's because of the Gamma Energy he absorbed."

Natasha walked away from her sister, walking slowly to where Derek was, putting her hand on the glass she apologized "Sorry, it's my fault you ended up in this state."

So time passed, two weeks to be exact in which Derek was still unconscious, in that time Dante was the first to wake up.

The first thing he did was to ask where he was surprised and happy to learn that he was in the Baxter Building, but all that joy and surprise was quickly lowered when he learned of Derek's condition.

Then she woke up Cassie who reacted better than Dante when she found out where he was, but when she found out about Derek it was a different story, not caring about her injuries she got up and went to where he was, the one who took all this seriously was Kamala who was training non-stop in the training room with Jennifer.

A day like the others in which Derek's condition was always checked, being the one who did it Reed this time "This is amazing his body has reformed" then he looked at the screen where the muscles, organs and nerves were shown

Reed : "His muscles present a green coloration like Jennifer, not to mention that the muscles of his body are compressed, as if they were made to exert incredible strength" that was only the internal, externally there were small but noticeable changes, his height was now 1 meter 89, the hair of this formerly black has red locks.

Reed was so focused he didn't notice Derek's eyelids twitching indicating he was about to wake up, seconds later he opened his eyes only to be greeted by a guy in a white mad scientist's coat looking at a screen, realizing the guy he was monitoring was him, he feared the worst.

So he did the most logical thing he could think of, he hit the glass with his new strength, but it didn't budge showing its hardness, but still he kept hitting until a crack was generated, the person outside noticed that Derek had woken up, he could see how this person panicked waving his hands or more like he was trying to calm him down.

Still he kept banging, noticing that Derek was not paying attention to him he set off an alarm, when he had it broke all the liquid escaped out as did Derek, he got up and looked at the metal door, he charged at the door but it suddenly opened causing him to slam into a rocky figure the size of the Hulk.

"Boy calm down, we are here to help you" said Ben holding Derek who started to struggle, until a voice tried to calm him down

Nat : "Derek... Derek, look at me it's me, it's all over now you can calm down" Natasha hugged him as he pulled out of Ben's grip, "Nat... you're ok".

Natasha : "Yes I am thanks to you, for now calm down I know you are very disoriented" he nodded still in Nat's arms, being seen by everyone especially Kamala and Cassie.

Yelena : "Ok then let's ignore that the boy is naked and my sister is hugging him" replied Yelena making Cassie, Kamala and Cerise blush.

"Looks like whoever is the lucky one will be very lucky" said while smiling Jennifer.

"Jenni" shouted Susan.

Jennifer : "What...the boy is well endowed, that would explain why you were monitoring him so much" Jennifer said teasingly, Susan noticing Jenni was teasing her said nothing.

Derek noticing he was naked team a pair of pants he had in his inventory causing him to cover it up out of nowhere, but he was also surprised to see the notifications he had unchecked, Reed was surprised to see this.

"Your body has undergone a metamorphosis especially your muscles, I recommend you take a bath to clear your thoughts and come to the room there we will show you all the changes your body has undergone" Reed suggested.

Derek who still had a lot on his mind nodded, Nat helped him up taking him to where she was sleeping so he could take a shower, she waited outside for a few minutes until he came out with new clothes.

"Come on" she said wanting him to follow her, before she can take a step he grabbed her hand, "Nat, I'm fine" he told her as if he was answering a question.

Natasha : "I...I know, I just feel guilty about falling into Tarleton's trap, it almost got you killed."

Derek : "We all fell into the trap Nat, not just you, it was no one's fault just the big headed pervert" he said as he caressed her cheek affectionately being accepted by her who closed her eyes at that caress.

Natasha : "We must go on Derek, we need to know what changes having absorbed Gamma energy brought you" removing his hand along with his grip she continued walking with Derek sighing and following her after a few seconds.

They were all sitting listening to the explanation Susan was giving to Derek about the changes in his physiology

Susan : "Look here you can see how your body was when you came here" showing on a holographic screen of Derek's body

"and this is the you of now" so another one appeared with Derek and his new changes

Susan : "Before you were a person already classified as superior, but at this moment your body shows a temperature of 80 degrees, your blood should have evaporated, but your blood stream is faster than a normal person.

Susan : your muscle mass shows green pigmentations like Jennifer due to the Gamma Energy you absorbed, not to mention that your muscles condensed and compressed just as your bones got stronger, your skin is resistant to most metals and what concerns me the most is your mind is faster but more instinctive"

Derek : "Overall you are telling me that my body is not the only thing that has changed, also my DNA goes into that list, not to mention that now my hormones may be at an all time high" Derek said calmly, Susan nodded at this.

"Yes maybe it's because of your Inhuman and mutant genes, I would recommend you be careful with your emotions and when you are with the opposite sex at the moment" Reed replied this time, Derek looked at him with surprise when they mentioned his genes.

Derek : "You took my blood."

Reed : "Not from you, but from the site where you fought abomination, I made sure to take all of it so they wouldn't do anything with it if they found it."

"Give me the samples of my blood, I don't trust anyone when it comes to my blood and destroy all the information you got from it" Derek said seriously surprising the Fantastic Four present.

"But this would be... "Reed wanted to retort but Natasha spoke in Derek's favor

Natasha : "I also feel the same way Reed all the information you have delete or destroy it, also the blood you got, AIM has been crazy about getting Derek and if a little of his blood falls into their hands I don't know what they would be capable of if they know the origin of Derek's powers."

"Reed they are right and it is their right, you must do as they ask" Said Susan on their behalf.

"Alright I will" Reed said leaving the room heading towards his lab.

Susan : "Alright I have already talked about the most important thing, now we must see what your physical limits are, follow me I will take you to the training room" as she led them

Susan asked some questions with a clipboard to write down the answers this one would give her, the questions were basic, name, birthday, about his past, she also asked about his parents.

Susan : "So...here comes the embarrassing part, are you...sexually active?" she asked causing Derek to be surprised and smile, Jennifer was the one who laughed, causing a slight blush to grow on Susan's face.

"Well couples I haven't had at the moment, but every morning my friend gets up without any problems" Derek replied with a smile.

"That's... well... I think" Susan stammered slightly, as Jennifer laughed more

Jennifer : "Really Sue? Feeling embarrassed when you asked that yourself, I told you you need to get out not just be cooped up in that lab of yours" she said giggling approaching Derek.

"Oh shut up Jen...this is embarrassing for everyone here" said Susan blushing with Kamala, Cassie, Cerise, Dante and Theo just like her

"Speak for yourself and the kids except for your question subject doesn't look embarrassed..... rather he's enjoying this" Jennifer said hooking her arm around Derek's neck, causing her gaze to fall on his green chest barely held up by a white and purple sports bra, her gaze followed to his hips also legs which are wearing very tiny shorts barely covering anything.

"You know...even though I have been controlling myself since I woke up with so many beauties by my side...ha...I find it hard when you are wearing something so tight" said Derek clenching his fists trying to control the excitement that was bringing his hormonal changes due to his Race.

"Oh sorry" he apologized as he walked away, both Nat, Kamala and Cassie approached him but he stopped them

Derek : "Stop please I know you want to help me but right now it would be the opposite, I can hardly resist when I see you" this only earned a few smiles from them.

"Hay how cute, the boy is controlling his advanced puberty" teased Yelena earning Derek's attention.

Derek : "Yeah, good thing you're not attractive to me at all so I don't have to worry" he replied.

Yelena : "Oh? Did you just say I'm not attractive?"

"Yeah big eyebrows" said Derek and walked in the door that said training room.
