CHAPTER - VIII

It has been three days since Derek, Kamala and Bruce returned from the AIM base with JARVIS.

Bruce just listened to them as he knew it was best for him not to butt in or say anything, plus he didn't want to waste a second or his food would get cold.

Kamala : "I, I'm sorry for worrying you, it's just that everything that happened and I saw in that place really surprised me the way they treat us, as if we were just simple rats."

Derek : "I know Kamala, I know this is all too much but you must remember that before the Inhumans there was another kind of humans that went through the same thing as us."

Bruce : "That's right Kamala, Derek is right, the X-men were hunted like animals, experimented on by many Organizations which were supported by the government to find out what gives them their powers, to create an army of superhumans but they didn't succeed"

Bruce : "But the worst thing was that when they most needed the help of the avengers we could not do anything until it was too late forcing a very powerful mutant with the power to manipulate reality to create their own reality with the few remaining mutants we had no choice but to intercede as that reality could collide with ours killing many innocents"

Bruce : "When we got to the mutant we attacked her to neutralize and destroy that reality, but we did not realize that she was only being controlled by someone who took advantage to control her, thanks to her mental instability which forced her to wish no more mutants, her desire was so strong that she destroyed that reality affecting ours and eliminating the mutant gene or X, leaving only a number of mutants that can be counted with the hands. The whole dining room was silent by what Bruce said, Kamala was a mess by what he said, while Derek just thought that this was getting more complicated, since what Bruce said are the events of House M in the comics.

Said Bruce to finish washing the last fret and head to Kamala's room.

Minutes later you can see Bruce and Kamala who was saying goodbye to Derek.

"I know Derek if things get bad I'll let the big guy out" Bruce told derek to get in the van with Kamala as Derek opened the hatch and watch them leave.

Once both Kamala and Bruce left, Derek closed the hatch and began to do his daily mission for 3 hours and then went to one of the laboratories that are unoccupied.

The AI about to be born would be one of the greatest creations Derek would ever achieve, if not for the points he put into intelligence it would take months of hard work and tears, this is an AI that would constantly learn and evolve. It would grow like any other living being, a whole day passed in which Derek had not taken off from his computer waiting for the new AI to wake up.

"HELLO CREATOR" an electronic voice with no gender and no hint of emotion was heard speaking through the laptop speakers.

"Yes" shouted Derek in joy, raising his fists in the air. Nearly knocking over the tools on the workbench. Exhaling and calming down but still unable to suppress his excitement.

"Hello, welcome to the world, how are you feeling?" asked Derek.

"Yes I am but I want to give you your own freedom and process it yourself to evolve and adapt, for starters just call me Derek and now you need a name, before you ask why; names are unique to each person or being, it makes it something special, it identifies it and to me you are indeed alive; you will notice it the more you grow up."

"UNDERSTOOD DEREK"

"I've decided you will be called Lucy" as this intelligence is based on 90% of the potential that humans have not yet unlocked, Derek came up with what if we look at that 90% as data or storage and processing capacity as data or binary codes that need to be broken down bit by bit.
