Chapter 17

Victor knocked on Jiao-long's office door, "Come in" Jiao-long said from the other side of the door. Victor let himself in, "The young master didn't eat his dinner " he said. Jiao-long looked up at Victor, who was holding the cold plate of food the was left untouched by Rai, "Dad I'll go check on him" said Rui who stood quietly at the door. "Alright" Jiao-long said sighing, Rui took the tray from Victor and excused himself from the room.

When Rui reached the Rai's bedroom door, knocked gently on the door, after waited awhile, he knocked again, he waited then said, "Rai I'm coming in", he pushed the door open and looked around. The room was pitch black, only being lit by a small ray of moonlight positioned perfectly, shining down on the petite boy sleeping on the foot of the bed, his long-disheveled hair, hanging off the bed and some even in between his pink-ish lips. Rui stood in the doorway for a moment before placing the tray on the coffee table, he walked over to his young brother and crouched down, staring at him.

"What the hell is he doing" Rai thought trying his best not to change his facial expression. Rai had woken up the moment Rui first knock on his door but thought that it would be too much work to answer, so he stayed up waiting for him to leave but instead in came inside. Now he was in this…very uncomfortable situation. Rui began pinching Rai's cheek, "Is he testing me?" Rai thought, but before he could Rui stood up. Rui picked Rai up and gently placed Rai at the head of the bed, tucked him in, and left. Rai sat up, "What the fuck…"
