Fang Hetong led Wei Yuan to a small ancestral hall in the middle of the village. It had been transformed, with a square table in the center, on which lay a map.
Wei Yuan glanced at the map and realized it was a hand-drawn depiction of the surrounding terrain of Quyang County. The map was meticulously crafted, with even tiny rivers and mounds clearly marked; the penmanship was excellent, each stroke and line worth examining.
Fang Hetong beckoned Wei Yuan to take a seat as they exchanged names.
