Ch. 271 Blood magic's mage connection

Elric was sure that those that "did not see the light" would never be seen again as they were most likely used as actual blood sacrifices in what he was all but certain were mage craft rituals. Those ritual sacrifices might also be linked to the forbidden practice of blood magic. With what little information was recorded on the subject in the restricted archives of House Martocs, and Pendragon's matriarchs, Elric had a hard time finding any difference between blood magic and mage craft that made use of blood as its sacrificial relic instead of skin, feathers, bone, fin, or claw. Maybe the only difference was who was casting the spell, a mage versus an awakend witch. Either way Eric felt like he was going to find out shortly.
