Dracula chose Ghostblade because he needed to be discreet, and do his work in the shadows.
As for the disadvantages of the Ghostblade profession…
Dracula already had Shadow Whip and Blood Mist skills from his previous life that he already mastered for centuries. The new body of his would eventually get accustomed to it with time and using the Blood Points, he'd be able to enhance them further as well. Increasing their Strength and Range would be possible thanks to the functions provided by the Blood Sovereign System.
With the help of those two skills, he would be able to overcome the disadvantage of having no fighting skills in open battle. Thus, eliminating the biggest hurdle of choosing this path.
Ghostblade Blood-Lord was a rare profession. Eventually, using this path would pay off in the long run because at Expert, Savant and Overlord rank… there would be many powerful skills and abilities one could use.
This way, Dracula would be able to cultivate the Blood Path while having Agility, Speed, Precision, Maneuverability, Strength and Long distance abilities all at the same time.
On the other hand, he'd get Illusion techniques in this profession. He too had created Illusion techniques in his previous life using Blood as a medium so with the help of the Blood Sovereign System, he would be able to master them with time much faster than expected.
Besides, his main objective wasn't to go on a mindless battle with powerful opponents but to collect more blood from the battlefields while doing everything covertly.
Only the Ghostblade profession would allow him to do that even if he was exposed or caught. All he needed was to acquire more blood, gather more Blood Points, and use them to enhance his levels and ranks while gaining some unique skills if he was lucky.
To others, Ghostblade Blood-Lord was a headache and a useless class, not worth investing in because it was useful only in a particular situation. But to Dracula, it was the most effective and efficient profession in the long run.
Because soon, he was going to create the best cover for himself that would help him soar high in the sky without attracting any attention.
----------------
Dracula ran through more information he acquired from the books and then carefully planned how he was going to take over high positions in the best way.
Finally, he came to the rural level of the current situation. The ones that needed the most attention at the moment because they'd build him a sturdy and unshakable foundation.
First topic was the structure of Svalka itself.
The Svalka Kingdom was divided into 8 main regions based on topography.
Although there was the main language named Fravaki, an ancient Vampire race language… In the past thousand years, these 8 regions were distinguished based on the native people's accents, dialects, varying dressing styles along with the resources they produced.
The ruling authorities of these regions were the Noble Houses who managed these territories and were the vassals of the Royal Family.
And surprisingly, one of the Noble Houses managing the Southern-Western region named Svortsdon was… the House of Silverfang.
This was Dracula's new body aka Vlad Silverfang's family house. The one that his father, Marvin Silverfang, the next in line to become the Patriarch had relinquished.
"Should I use them in my plan? After all, being born to Nobility would help me stake a claim if my plans succeed.
Besides, the system said that I have a dormant rare Vampire bloodline that can be awakened.
Maybe if I kill a few members of that Noble house, I would be able to improve my bloodline and become much stronger." he spoke in a sinister tone.
Dracula had no idea about the family history between his father and the House of Silverfang. All he knew was that his father of this new life gave up his position to marry his mother Anya who was of commoner birth.
And with the help of Marcellus Whittaker aka his uncle Marcel who was Vlad's current guardian; they had created a life for themselves and spent the past 20 years away from the Silverfang house.
"Alright, no point in dwelling on it. I will think about it later when I'm done gaining some recognition here first." he spoke with a somber expression.
Next, Dracula moved to his current region named Valborg.
Some regions had their own unique native languages. In the Valborg region, natives spoke the national language as well as the local language called Masarka.
The main Currency/Denomination was Lazik, which was basically an alloy of metals rare to their kingdom.
The class structure of the society was commoners, military soldiers, royal officials, nobles and then finally, the Royal Family.
Each of these classes had 3 levels. For example, the Commoner Class was divided into 3 ranks.
First one was Slaves, people sold and forced to act as servants due to their financial situation, crimes they committed or failed to pay their taxes.
Second was Free Folks which included working-class people who had different jobs such as farmers, craftsmen, hunters and people with professions such as merchants, blacksmiths, food and rations sellers… all of them played part in the economy of the kingdom.
And finally the Third rank… were the Business Enterprises.
The law of Svalka gave them preferential treatment because these elites among the commoners brought the ruling authorities a lot of favors, influence, connections and resources.
But Dracula had already seen through how this was nothing but the carrot and stick based system.
It treated the lowest of the class unjustly while treating the highest rank of society as precious gems.
But even so, these precious gems had no real power. They were just people thinking that they were special and of higher standing than the rest.
Because in the end, they were no different than hunting hounds for the people in power, bringing them benefits without even asking just to maintain their prestige and the good treatment they received from the system.
This same rule applied to Soldiers, Royal Officials and Nobles, each having their own ranks and class system.
But ultimately, the system was designed in a way that while everyone struggled for power… all of them served the top 1% without even knowing.
No matter which side you took, the ones to always win would be the ones sitting at the top.
In this case, the Noble Houses and the Royal Family. The latter benefitting the most of them all.
Dracula had used this Monarchy and Elitism based system himself and when he achieved World Domination and ruled over 3 trillion beings in all the empires he controlled and unified in his previous world.
What was a governmental system?
It was never meant to treat everyone as equals. Maintaining law and order was just a front. In reality, it was always meant to...
Control the weak and poor.
----------------
After giving it a thought… Dracula came to a conclusion.
A War was going on. With his experience, he could benefit in many ways… whether making money or gaining authority, he had a lot of experience to do it easily.
But this time… he decided to take a covert route before he became strong enough to stand between the top 1% without having to rely on anyone in any way.
Gaining money and connections would not help him sit at the top if he didn't have enough strength to make the entire Kingdom and all the Nobles fear him first.
Plus, he wanted to use the Blood Sovereign System to quickly rise in ranks and strength while maintaining his ambiguity.
"I guess it's decided then. I should join…"
Dracula finally decided to make the first move that would be vital given the current scenario of the war and would help him become the King of Svalka.
"The Military."
