Ignoring the lightning raining down on him, Wulin concentrated inwardly. For the past few months, his months, the Golden Dragon King's training was entirely focused on the single lacking aspect of him. His control.
{Control is… like water. It moves softly yet powerfully, slowly yet swiftly, and most importantly should you tame it, your power will never betray you.} Wu Zhangkong's words at the time had been accompanied by a fearsome display of power that even Wulin might struggle against but that was hardly the point. The importance of control was the main takeaway.
Wulin understood that control was an important aspect of combat however he had made a miscalculation. That strike Wu Zhangkong had shown him that day initially had the power of a third ring cultivator at most. When it struck, however, it could easily destroy even rank sixties.
'I was right to pick him.' Though he hardly realized it, a faint amount of relief was within Wulin's thoughts at the moment. Make no mistake, Wu Zhangkong's control was far from normal. Wulin couldn't make a comparison but he would wager even the most talented of Shrek could not compare to that level of control.
Wulin himself could not compare to it, no he couldn't even mimic a fragment of that destructive potential but with his tyrannical strength that was fine as well. He didn't need absolute efficiency when just a single percentage would make such a difference.
Taking a single step forward the arena shook around him, the ground itself exploding into a naturally occurring smokescreen. In the next 0.0001 seconds, both he and Gu Yuena released their most powerful attacks on one another.
In that split second, the two moved simultaneously. Manifesting behind Wulin the sphere of the four basic elements began to shimmer, the delicate balance that once stood strong instantly falling apart once Gu Yuena released it.
'I'll lose.' In an instant, Wulin was able to determine the fate of the battle. He would be far from defeated, badly injured yes but not defeated, and yet he would lose because the explosion would push him out of the arena.
Hence, he made a somewhat foolish play. Stomping on the floor of the arena he effortlessly cracked it in two despite all the numerous technological advancements supposed to make such a thing impossible.
Dust rose into the sky from his stomp, successfully blocking the eyes of the crowd just as Wulin planned. This skill wasn't well known as far as Wulin was aware however caution was necessary considering who it belonged to.
He had only 'seen' it once and even that was in a state of unconsciousness but Wulin was sure he could replicate it. However, just to be sure he would add another layer of defense. Golden liquid light spilled out of him in droves, coiling around him like thick armor.
It was a natural ability of the Golden Dragon King known as Dragon Repulse according to his other half. Though it had many beneficial traits currently Wulin only needed its defensive attributes which would be more than enough to defend him.
Smirking playfully silver energy spilled out his other half, the already dangerous attack growing even stronger under the powerful blood essence of the Silver Dragon King. Dragon Repulse was not an ability limited only to him it seems.
Discarding all wandering thought Wulin focused intently, his mind replaying the movements of that golden spear religiously. It was both smooth and powerful, the ideal of control that Wu Zhangkong seemed to be chasing. That was how Wulin saw it.
'It moved… like this.' Wulin's movements were slow and yet a shock ran down his other half's spine upon seeing them. She was not aware why nor what would occur however she understood instinctively that her attack would fail.
The fist of the Golden Dragon King stopped in mid air, a single ripple emerging from his strike and destabilizing space all around him. Condensing around his fist was a golden ring that shot forward like a blur of light.
Wrapping around her it tightened around her torso, her control over the elements faltering as her energies fell stagnate. Moving them was possible however it was far from easy and the only reason she could even move them was because of her experience as a god.
'What is this light?' Although curious about its origins Gu Yuena could already see the cracks beginning to form around it. At this rate, it would only last a few seconds at most, and though she was heavily weakened she should be able to fend him off.
Blood essence was a difficult to quantify thing for one main reason, it was both everything and nothing to a beast type martial soul owner. In many ways, it was their life force that supplied them with energy so using it was hardly recommended but at the same time, it was their strongest asset.
The blood essence of the Golden Dragon King was one of pure power, power so strong that nothing could stand in its way. The Silver Dragon King on the other hand had blood essence that brought control to its limits. Using it, she could control the laws themselves.
"Don't count me out yet~!" Gu Yuena declared in amusement, her figure vanishing as a wall of darkness rose in front of her. She didn't have much blood essence as of now so she couldn't use it freely but that wasn't an issue.
"I didn't." Bluntly replying to his partner Wulin charged forward without any care for the tsunami of darkness. It clung to his skin and tried to pull him into its depths but Wulin ignored it all, his tyrannical strength making such a barrier obsolete.
It was only a matter of time for him to arrive at the other side though he didn't quite make it there before Gu Yuena took matters into her own hands. The darkness shifted and morphed, the formerly towering wave of darkness not rising from the earth like a whirlpool.
Tall pillars of ice dropped from the sky, eight of them surrounding the edge of the destroyed arena. Chains of ultimate ice spread shot out of the pillars and wrapped around Wulin around all his joints without sparing even his neck.
The sky above darkened as storm clouds gathered, lightning dancing around its surface as it looked down upon the both eager and fearful crowd. It was a battle of never before seen proportions where victory and defeat lay on a thread much like the safety of the crowd.
"How long are you going to stand there?" Curiously speaking to the chained boy Gu Yuena's actions were difficult to decipher. It was undeniable that Wulin was physically gifted however it was also difficult to ignore the numerous things holding him in place.
The crowd was sure that finally, this intense battle had come to an end. That finally, they would be allowed to breathe freely without worry of missing the action. It was a level of intensity one would expect from talented adults let alone nine year old children!
And yet, those thoughts came to a crashing halt when the chains shattered.

Hey there, hope you liked the chapter.
To be honest with you, I don't know if Gu Yuena had Dragon Repulse and Dragon Might. But, I don't see why one half of the Dragon God would have it and not the other. While the GDK had plenty of explanation about its blood essence, the SDK had none so I'm basically making it up as I go.
