Chapter 42 — Blood Legacy
After the successful absorption of newtype spirit soul, Shi Yeng began to interrogate me with various questions. She even performed many complicated tests like I was her test subject to find out how I managed to absorb the newtype spirit soul.
The newtype spirit souls were originally deemed as failures because it was impossible to merge with them.
Despite that, Shi Yeng still continued to believe in her special project.
And her belief was now finally realized.
That was why Shi Yeng researched me extensively to find the cause.
Yet she was only able to understand vague things.
Shi Yeng believed that my monstrous amount of spiritual power played a large factor in my success.
An amount that ringless soul masters couldn't possibly possess because the normal range of ringless soul masters were between 10 digits to three digits of spiritual power.
If so, then couldn't higher rank soul masters absorb it?
The answer was impossible because even higher ranks couldn't successfully merge with newtype spirit souls.
The newtype spirit souls would just have conflict with the normal spirit souls. And in other scenarios, the normal spirit souls would try to destroy the newtype spirit souls, so it was finally concluded that this failed product could only be absorbed as the first spirit soul.
The newtype project was close to being shut down, but my successful absorption meant there was still a chance for it.
As for other possible factors, Shi Yeng also regarded my abundant energies as important factors.
I came to the same answer, but I thought my soul blood, life-death energy, and true elemental essences were the perfect material to successfully complete the Half Soul State of newtype spirit souls.
Since I was the only lead, Shi Yeng started to secretly create more newtype spirit souls for me to absorb in the future.
"Since he completed my failed newtype project, then he really is the perfect key for that…"

"Is there any place where I can learn about soul circuits?"
"There's the library hall, but why do you want to study them?"
"I have some important use for them later in the future."
"Not a bad idea since you need to build a foundation to eventually create your own battle armor." Shi Yeng nodded her head approvingly. "In that case, you can ask some advice from my employees who are familiar with soul circuits."
I nodded in response. After learning the location of the library hall, I went there to read books about soul circuits and soul technology.
The library hall was much larger and expansive than the library from Red Mountain Academy.
I've already read some books about soul technology, but it wasn't that deep since I was focused on other things.
Since the library of Spirit Pagoda was large and luxurious, I'm sure it contained valuable knowledge about soul circuits and soul technology, so this place was the perfect haven to study about them.
And for the next few weeks, I've immersed myself across the sea of knowledge, reading and comprehending about soul circuits, core circuits, soul arrays, and soul technologies that applied to most advanced spirit tools.
Not only that, I also went to seek advice and lessons from experienced soul guide masters who were experts at engraving soul circuits.
At the same time, I've come to learn more mecha professions like Mecha Designer, Mecha Maker, and Mecha Mechanic. It even led me to understand about the famed Battle Armour.
As my knowledge deepened, I now understand that soul circuits and circuit cores were essential during the early revolution of spirit tools, but as soul technology rapidly progressed, there were more other convenient alternatives for ordinary people.
However, soul circuits and circuit cores were still important to create Battle Armour.
If Mechas were the armor that ordinary people wear over their bodies, then Battle Armors were the superior armor that soul masters wear over their martial souls.
This was the major reason a large disparity exists between soul masters with battle armours and soul masters without them.
I still couldn't create my battle armor because it was difficult to prepare and create at my current level.
There were also certain requirements to support battle armor like having a minimum of five soul rings. It was also only for one-word battle armor.
According to the books, there were four ranks to battle armor:
One-Word Battle Armor.
Two-Word Battle Armor.
Three-Word Battle Armor.
Four-Word Battle Armor.
And each rank had increasingly difficult requirements.
However, I never planned on creating battle armor now because I'll use soul circuits and circuit cores to transform my forged weapons into soul weapons.
I also held some slight contempt for wearing battle armor since I believed my body would eventually become much more powerful to the point a battle armor wouldn't be able to handle my own power.
After studying enough, I've started to practice engraving soul circuits and circuit cores using my soul blood and spiritual power into a soul engraving pen.
This process was a very difficult task that needed extreme precision and steadiness to avoid mistakes and errors.
Fortunately, I had someone to teach me about engraving properly.
After practicing countless times, I stopped using the soul engraving pen to use my fingers to engrave instead.
My strong fingers were much more precise and easier to control than a pen, as well as much sharper and sensitive.
As a result, I felt my engraving skill improving rapidly. I was also able to raise my fine control to improve the precision over my spiritual power and soul blood clouds.
Back when I fought Shi Yeng, I was able to copy her Rabbit Flash by compressing the soul blood clouds on my toes, and using my earth star to merge with the ground.
I should have been able to use it much better than her, but I couldn't use it properly because of crude and forceful control.
Shi Yeng explained that the soul power compressed internally like springs, but I did it externally crudely using soul clouds, so it was natural for my Flash to appear awkward.
However, I didn't have a choice because I couldn't control my soul blood in such a complicated way.
Anyways, I was now confident enough to make the weapon I've envisioned to replace me as Vlad.
These past few weeks were busy, but I didn't forget to spend time with Liu San, who was busy reading and studying books from my mind library.
I now knew that Liu San was interested in becoming a blacksmith. He also spent some time learning about drums and music.
This causes me to develop a strange yet bright idea.
In the future, I would just hand every forging matters to Liu San because I simply have too many things to accomplish.
At the same time, we can also share each other's forging experience.
However, I haven't shared mine because I wanted Liu San to develop his own forging path.
I believed in him because he inherited some of my talents.
After Liu San discovered his own forging path and matured enough, I would share my own forging experience and unique forging styles.
And speaking of my mind library, I never expected it to allow me to easily recall the contents from the books I've read. As a result, I didn't have to worry about completely forgetting about them.
It allowed me to read and scan books at a very fast rate.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
I pounded my blood hammer against the metal above the fiery forge.
A black iron that excelled when it comes to density and toughness.
At the same time, the blood hammer was nourishing the black iron by using my soul blood, life-death energy, yin-yang energy, and true elemental essences to refine the black iron beyond its innate limits.
This was one of the unique effects of my blood hammer—Energy Refinement.
The tip of my blood hammer constantly blazed with colorful fiery lights to nourish and purify the metal as I rapidly drummed the black iron.
The black iron was rapidly shrinking while shining with captivating colorful musical notes.
With the blood hammer and black iron as the musical instrument, I merged music with forging.
The blood hammer pounded the black iron so quickly that it produced rapid strings of clear clangs that reverberated many times across the air like metallic percussion even with just one strike. The metallic sounds were extremely pleasant to the ears and soul.
The black iron even sang with sharp metallic notes to express its satisfaction from the purification of musical sounds.
This was another unique effect of the blood hammer—Stacked Musical Vibrations.
An echo of crashing sounds continued to strike loudly in the ears.
The black iron was quickly perfectly purified without any damage. In fact, it was even slightly better than any black iron.
Next was the true refinement and second nourishment stage.
As I raised the blood hammer high up, my eyes immediately surged with uncontrollable rage and bloodlust, as I switched into my Rageful Forging Style.
1st Soul Ring: Yin-Yang Vibrational Explosion.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
I rapidly smashed the blood hammer that was accompanied by powerful chaotic vibrational explosions.
The chaotic explosions mixed perfectly with the stacked musical vibrations, resounding thunderously and crazily like ear-deafening drums.
(Maybe Rock or Metal?)
The stacked vibrational explosions from the hammer penetrated deeply into the molecular level of the black iron, a chaotic mixture of various energies nourishing those metallic molecules to entirely transform the black iron.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
The black iron howled crazily and shrilly with extremely high musical notes. Its dark color turned darker and formed chaotic patterns.
My blood hammer was cracking and crumbling rapidly, but it constantly repaired itself by drinking my energies.
BOOM!
And with that thunderous strike, the black iron shone eerily as a black halo rose high above.
The black iron surpassed its innate limits to become a Black Steel.
I didn't stop my blood hammer that continued to shape and mold the Black Steel into a sword that was similar to a crescent fang.
After it was shaped and sharpened into an extremely sharp fang, I infused my soul cloud and spiritual power into my blackened finger to engrave soul circuits and circuit cores.
It took several minutes, but the black fang-like sword was now covered by eerie crimson veins.
The sword was constantly glowing eerily with shrill black musical notes emerging to strike fear into those who saw It.
(Jojo)
This was Blood Fang.
A Blood Contract Weapon with the ability to bind with other people other than
me through a Blood Contract.
It can drink blood from its enemies and even wielders to strengthen itself or the physique of its wielder.
There was also the function to heal the wielder by using the blood. Maybe it was born from the nourishment of soul blood, life-death energy, yin-yang energy, and true elemental essences.
A few circuit cores were also inside the sword to store blood and poison.
And since the soul circuits were made by my soul blood, Blood Fang was able to amplify the stored blood and poison to enhance its attack power and add some poison.
It was also able to unleash sharp blood and soul projection for long-ranged attacks.
However, Blood Fang's best function was to gradually grow stronger as it absorbed blood.
As for how I was able to create Blood Contract Weapon, it was because I constantly forged Blood Sacrificed Equipment in the past.
I didn't know how to use soul blood clouds back then, so I eventually learned how to make Blood Sacrificed Equipment that others can also bound with.
The condition to form Blood Contract with Blood Fang was to drip their blood and my blood into Blood Fang.
The max limit was two wielders, but if the other died, it would simply reset.
After Blood Fang, I proceeded to create the Blood Mask for the next few days.
The Blood Mask possessed the ability to conceal the presence and store a huge reserve of blood to strengthen or heal the wielder.
It can also temporarily improve the cognitive and ocular functions by injecting the blood into their nerves.
And it was able to translate normal words into terrifying demonic voices using the mouthpiece capable of influencing the psyche.
If coupled with Blood Fang, they would produce scary black musical notes to spread everywhere when needed.
These two Blood Contract Weapons will be Vlad's Legacy.
As I knew once Vlad the Bloodsucker, the Symbol Of Fear left, there would be many people rising up to commit hideous crimes once again.
I am someone who understands the crippling pain of suffering.
That's why…
I never want innocent people to suffer from inhuman cruelty.
