Chapter 33 — Blood Hammer
Second Underground Level: Workshop Room.
In the past, It was a normal process to spill my soul blood on the metals before refining them.
A self-harm procedure.
There was no other way since my cursed body couldn't release energy. It occured the same for Life-Death Wheel and Elemental Stars.
The only reason they were able to influence the flute was because they were constantly attracting energies, so I merely acted as the guide to influence the flute.
The only force I could release outside was my spiritual power.
This allowed me to use my Life-Death Spiritual Intent to create the unique Spirit Of Death.
However, I realized a certain way to release my soul blood when my imagination broadened, and how I released the rage mist.
The Purple Clouds.
The ability to extend poison or medicinal clouds to cover the entirety of my body.
At first, I didn't explore much about the utilities of this ability.
However, when I used spiritual power to inspect how they were built down to cellular level, I realized the clouds were composed of my purple blood that exists in a gas state. Normally, the blood that escaped the body would turn into a liquid state.
I then quickly experimented by activating the spirit heart and soul blood to activate the purple clouds.
Thereafter, I was able to release clouds composed of gaseous soul blood outside my body.
In fact, this was how the rage mist formed around my body, but I've never thought of using my soul blood similarly because I was too narrow-minded.
Well, I wasn't born smart or a genius in the first place.
I use them by coating my fist with Soul Blood Melting Poison Clouds, or even spread them as Soul Blood Elixir Clouds.
The most important application was using them to forge without having to drip my soul blood anymore.
I placed a piece of heavy silver onto the forging bench to calcine it. At the same time, I pulled out a large hammer with an expressionless face, watching the hot flames consume the metal.
My whole body was immovable like the boundless earth.
An indescribable disposition spread from me—In that instant, I seemed to become a part of the forging room.
Almost at the exact same moment, I gripped tightly onto the hammer that was covered with clouds. I then reached out with my hammer in a smooth manner instead of pounding them down onto the heavy silver right away.
Clang!
Clang!
Right now, I was drumming the heavy silver with the hammer.
Instead of swinging my hammer down with all my might as I normally did, I was using precise control to strike the piece with one delicate hammer blow after another.
Although I was being extremely delicate with the hammer blows, the heavy silver was rapidly shrinking. It was even beginning to shine with captivating musical notes.
My hands were moving quickly, resulting in a rapid string of clangs that stretched into a single continuous sound of metallic percussion. The metallic sounds were extremely rhythmic and pleasing to the ears, as if I were playing a musical instrument.
The concept of music could be used in various aspects, allowing to get even applied when forging to get the most suitable rhythm for metals.
The hammer and metal were capable of producing vibration of sounds with each blow.
In the past, I knew the sounds I made were terrible and disorderly. There was a sense of rhythm, but it lacked substance and other essential things.
That was why I took my Heart Of Steel to a new level.
With the hammer and metal as musical instruments, I started to play music while forging.
An echo of crashing sounds struck loudly in the ears. It was as if a rock had created thousands of waves in water; the sound of vibrations creating countless ripples in the air.
As the clear resonance and echoes of metallic percussion similar to cymbals and gongs emerged non-stop, they also sounded with a dazzling rhythm and steady tempo—sharp vibrations drilling intensely into the metal!
The Sound Of Steel!
The perfect union of hammer, man, and metal.
Through my spiritual power and the sounds, I was able to communicate with the metal on a profound level.
The metal responded with its minuscule and vibrant vibrations. It allowed me to feel its every minute changes.
As a result, my forging efficiency increased.
And not only music—
As I forged, I was also applying the nature of Elemental Stars into my blacksmith techniques.
The hammer was smashing explosively yet fluidly like a stream of flowing river. The softness of water was mixed with the roughness of fire to create pleasant sounds.
My whole body was extremely stable and balanced, capable of allowing me to move in a way unbounded by postures nor angles. The wood star was even replenishing my stamina and soul blood constantly. Moreover, the delicate blow of hammer constantly penetrated deeply into the structure of metal to be purified into perfection.
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
My hammer moved so quickly that a series of afterimages were being left, completely enshrouding the piece of heavy silver.
There was a reason why I was precisely controlling my strength for my hammer blows.
I didn't want to destroy the metal and my hammer.
The Rageful Forging Style was extremely destructive to use to purify the metal. It was why I decided to create another forging style for purifying.
I was able to learn many things from Meng Tian, and my own experience with different kinds of rare metals.
Metals were like living creatures. If excessive heavy hammer blows were used during the purification process, that would inevitably damage the integrity of metal. Some methods could be used to strengthen the piece of metal later on, but irreversible damage had already been done, so there was no way to forge the metal to perfection.
As such, if one wanted to forge a metal to perfection, then they had to carefully purify it in the beginning.
If I were to strike the heavy silver with all my strength, not only would the metal be reduced to scraps, even the hammer could fall apart from the enormous force of the impact.
My purification process soon resulted in a slightly larger piece of heavy silver than normal. During the purification process, it was inevitable that good things would also be expelled along with the impurities, but I had been able to avoid that.
This was because my forging efficiency had increased by several times, making the purifying process much faster. The end results also boosted more effectiveness and performance than before.
This was my second forging style—Musical Steel Forging Style.
The two forging styles were made to complement each other.
After the purification, I switched to the familiar Rageful Forging.
Now starts the true refinement process.
My disposition abruptly changed—Intense bloodlust and rage spreading outwards like water ripples that dyed the room into a blood world.
I took a deep breath as my eyes abruptly opened with murderous light.
My blood was boiling madly within me!
Kill!
Kill!
Kill!
Kill!
Kill!
Kill!
The madness of rage and bloodlust merged with my life-death spiritual intent.
And I poured them into my hammer—!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
My hammer now pounded the metal with thunderous sounds.
The musical sounds also changed in a ferocious manner.
Yet for some reason, instead of the sounds growing unpleasant, the rageful hammer blows resounded out with intense, loud, and aggressive sounds that were like distorted growls to the ears.
The horrifying metallic percussions caused the blood to boil and run extremely wild with madness.
There were now chaotic patterns appearing over the metal with shrill, dark musical notes rapidly coming out from to resound aloud.
A Spirit Of Death was born from the heavy silver metal.
As the heavy silver was close to being completely refined, I released the true metal essence of my previous hammer, merging it within the spirit of death of the metal.
A few minutes later, a burst of dazzling dark gray light suddenly erupted upward, and heavy black notes began to spread out.
That streak of dark gray light was like a devil clawing out.
The heavy silver was transformed into half-spirit refinement metal.
I didn't stop moving, continuing to shape the refined heavy silver.
Soon, I inspected the heavy silver that was transformed into a large and extremely heavy hammer.
A new Blood-Sacrificed Hammer.
After trying it out, I realized it has several effects.
Energy Refinement: Blood Resonance allows it to use my various energy to refine a metal beyond its innate limitations. It means a common metal can become uncommon metal or higher.
Stacked Musical Vibration: It produce musical vibrations to nourish the metal spirit. The vibrations also resonate, able to create a third, or maybe even a fourth strike with one blow.
Self-Repair: The hammer was able to repair itself when broken by feeding upon my blood.
My new forging style and new hammer allowed me to reach an ever greater limit.
I thought I could now try to create a weapon capable of replacing me as Vlad.

Ugh writing is really draining. I'm constantly forgetting what I write, so if it's not consistent, I'll try to fix it.
