Beacon Academy

<In the Airship above Vale Kingdom>

I looked out the side of the Airship-Baron through a ceiling to floor window and gasped at the wonderful sight.

"I CANT BELIEVE WE'RE GOING TO BEACON DOUG!"

As one of the siblings was in silent awe of being able to fly, the other was quite audibly voicing her excitement as she began to shake her poor little brother. Only stopping when their bigger sister Yang pulled her off of him

"Can you imagine, not only are we going a full year early but both of us impressed the Headmaster! I wonder if that means he has high expectations of us now? Oh no! What if I don't meet his expectations?! Will I get Expelled?"

Ruby's awe and hope turned into full on worry. She did not look good with worry. To be honest she looked as if she was going to be sick.

Meanwhile the shotgun gauntlet toting girl wrapped her into a loving headlock with one arm.

"Look Rubes, you won't get expelled. Not unless you accidentally shoot an innocent person who was trying to eat their lunch. Then there's no saving you after that." She tried calming her down a little with a joke.

"Thanks Yang, I feel better already. He on the other hand doesn't though." She replied with a smirk as she pointed behind me to a young blonde haired boy who was clutching his belly with both arms. He slowly made his way past me and looked almost ready to puke his guts out on the aisles. As if his stomach read my mind, the guy began to do just that.

"MY SHOES!? GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS!" Screeched yang.

"GET AWAY FROM ME GET AWAY FROM ME GET AWAY FROM ME!"

I sighed a great sigh to release some if not all of my new forms of stress.

'This is going to be a long four years, if it even lasts that long. I didn't look that older when I saw myself in the alternate dimension. Hmm. I wonder if he fought any powerful people before destroying all of Remnant. Knowing that plenty of people hold responsibility over this world, I'd say its a safe bet he did. Unless he stuck to the shadows the entire time. And looking at his clothes, (Gold trimmings in his vest) he played the main antagonist in that place. There are two things I didn't understand what he told me though. He said one mission is to stop the Faunus insurrection. And the other was to Kill someone named Salem.'

Just as I was thinking long and hard about solutions to both my problems an arm with a yellow gauntlet came and wrapped itself around my neck. In doing so mushing my cheek into soft pillowy cushions.

"Alright Charles Darwin! That's enough time spent inside of your head lil bro. Time to associate yourself with us in the real world," Yang pulled me even closer into her chest and to be honest, it felt good, which is wrong on so many levels. It's my sister for goodness sake! Well actually no. Since her dad is TaiYang she would be my cousin. And in some cultures in Faunus society, marrying cousins is considered normal in order to keep some Royal blood in the family. So I guess it'd be fine if I let myself catch feelings for her. That is if I can take what David said as the full truth. If this mark on my hand is proof as to make sure we both fulfill our promises and stick to the contract, in which he claimed Yang and TaiYang were not my immediate family, it stands that what he claimed could very well be difficult to refute.

Yang, being used to me squirming away blushing like a red tomato, was shocked to see my head still in between her chest. This caused her to quickly let me go and wrap her arms around her bosoms.

"Who are you and what have you done to my brother?!" She exclaimed at me blushing a pinkish red.

"I'm still the same Doug just...Was thinking of dad ya know?

"Aww Dougie," Ruby walked up to me and gave me a hug. "We know you have a hard time expressing yourself to dad, but I'm sure he's very proud of all of us. Especially you, I mean... You skipped two grades for crying out loud!"

Yang also stepped forward and began ruffling through my dreads.

"Rubes is right. Dad believes in us all that we're going to be the greatest Hunters and Huntresses in all of Vale." She shined a blinding smile at me. One that was contagious that even I caught myself smiling.

"Yeah," I said. "You're both right. I'll prove to dad that he can have faith in me to let me know what really happened."

They both had an inquisitive look on their faces as they tilted their heads in confusion.

"What do you mean wh-"

"NOW ARRIVING AT BEACON ACADEMY! NOW ARRIVING AT BEACON ACADEMY! PLEASE MIND YOUR LUGGAGE AS WE WILL BE DEPARTING FOR ATLAS IN THIRTY MINUTES!"

The intercom system in the ceiling blared out that it was almost time to disembark, cutting Ruby's question off.

"Come on. Maybe we can get off before barf boy leaves a trail of food on the ramp." I joked as I headed to the nearest rear exit. Lucky enough for me the two didn't hound me for an answer. Their character was laid back and if anything bad happens then we'll deal with it type of attitude.

I don't know if I'll ever have the same relationship with either of them before I found out the truth or not. Oh well, I'll leave that for another time at another place.

Right now I need to see about getting to my dorm. Do we even have Dorms? We should have dorms.

As we walked up and saw the castle-like Academy I could see Yangs and Rubys suprised faces.

"The view on Vale has got nothing on this!" Yang looked up at the high rooms of the buildings.

"Ooh! Ooh! Sis! Bro! Look! He's got a collapsable staff! She has a flame sword!"

Ruby began to walk after the latter person with said sword until yang pulled her back by the edge of her scarf.

"Easy there little sister! They're just weapons."

"Just weapons? They're extensions of ourselves..."

As much as I love listening to my sisters swoon over our new school and the weapons... which I don't, I needed to get to my room and unpack and hopefully meet my roomates.

I took out a pamphlet the attendants on the airship had given me and found my room to be on the east side of the campus. But the entrance ceremony is in ten minutes. I don't think I'll be able to make it there, unpack and back to the front of campus in time. Well, I might as well go to that first. Hopefully it doesn't last as long as middle school did its entrance ceremony. That lasted foreverrrr~

"Eep!" A small high pitched start of surprise came from behind me as someone lightly bumped into me.

I turn around and gaze down at a petite girl in black wearing a black bowtie rubbing her forehead.

I lean down and offer her my hand. "Are you alright? Can you stand up?" I softly ask her. Now that I get a closer look she reminds me of someone familiar. I just couldn't pinpoint it, as if I had this weird sense of Dejavu. I was so lost in thought I had forgotten to let go of her hand.

"Oh. You just reminded me of someone I thought I knew. I apologize." As I released her hand she held onto mine as if it was a lifeline.

"What....Is your...name?" It was as if she pleaded to me with her eyes locked onto mine.

Should I really tell her? What if it ends badly for me? For all I know she could be a stalker.

"Doug, Doug Branwen. Nice to meet you...."

"Blake...Belladonna."

She spoke taking a step into my personal space as if it didn't even exist. I was just about to say something when she wrapped her arms around my torso and gave me a hug. I don't usually let anyone hug me but it was as if my body was telling me to let her. There's only two words that could describe this girl, small...and warm.

"Can we... stay like this for a while?" She asked her voice shaking.

The entrance ceremony was due to start in about five minutes. I should probably get going if I didn't want to be late on my first day. For all I know that's when they'll distribute us our classes and tell us who our homeroom teachers will be.

"Take as much time as you need, Blake," I responded as I hugged her even closer to my chest. "I won't fault you for it. We all need to lean on somebody once in a while."

We started to attract attention in the foyer as students were passing us by giving us looks of disdain, jealousy, or outright googly eyes. I ignored them and focused on my breathing, it felt like I was going to have a heart-attack if I didn't. A petite fragile body in my grasp and she felt as if she could trust me to hold her, I never thought I'd be ready for this type of responsibility so soon in my life. At first it was Yang, now Blake. What's going to happen next in my life.

By the time she let go it was past the time for the entrance ceremony, and even then she still held onto my hand as if we were a couple. Which I didn't mind in the slightest. If she's taken a liking to me then who am I to disagree? Really though, taking a gander at her, theres not even a slight blimish to name on that porcelain face of hers. She's the perfect height to snuggle with, her waist has the perfect curves, and her eyes.... Damn her eyes are like an abyss that just draws me in. Honestly if she would have me I would not mind in the slightest.

"Sorry about that. I don't know what came over me. It was like my body was moving on its own accord really, oh my gosh what am I saying, " she began to stumble over her own words trying to explain the connection we just had, and was adorably failing as she went on.

"Dont worry about it. We Hunters and Huntresses got to stick together right?"

She looked up at me and gave the warmest smile imaginable. "Right," she released the final contact we shared by letting my hand free and took two steps back. "I'll see you in class?"

I could hear the hope in her voice as she asked me. "Definitely." I replied returning her a small smile back.

"Well, see you." And she was off. Gone off into the sea of stragglers who somehow got lost and was making their way to the ceremony by the skin of their teeth. Well, since I'm already late I might as well go and unpack and ask my roommates where classes are in the morning. And make my way to my room I did, although I was not prepared for what came next.

"Womanizing truant. That is one thing I did not expect this turning of events from you. Perhaps Remnant Dimension Zed, but not from you Condor."

"David?!" What could he possibly want at a time like this?!

This chapter is probably the most difficult chapter I had to write, simply because I had no idea what I wanted my MC to do or be. I could make him a hero, or an antihero. The things I'd do, I'll write it the way I'd want it to be.PS. this is dedicated to a friend who recently moved away and is temporarily no longer in driving distance to where I can hang out with him. I hope you keep reading and watch as I get better.PS. Death Note has just dropped a special Edition One Shot on Viz Media.
