Her Name is...

Every morning, I eagerly anticipate teasing her. It's fun, and she's absolutely adorable. She always wears baggy clothes and those big round specs, which weirdly suit her perfectly. I asked my sister, who is a year behind me, to find out 'nobody's' schedule. I was walking to my locker when...

"What's up, hot stuff?" said Jeremy, the guy who's been annoying me since middle school. Jeremy Sinclair, to be precise. He's had a crush on me since middle school, and he bugs me about it endlessly. I'm not going to lie, I'm not picky and not accepting Jeremy's offer, since he's very popular in school and lots of girls like him. It's just that I don't personally like him. I mean, I could hit it off for a night, but long-term with this dude? Nightmare. Jeremy is fit for a nice friend or a close friend, but a boyfriend? That's a hard no. I looked at him and thinned my lips.

"Please don't call me that, Jeremy," I said firmly.

"Why? I mean, you are hot stuff, so let me call you that," he persisted.

"Do you want me to call you Jerm?" I shot back.

"Don't put it like that," he replied. Before he could finish, I continued,

"Maybe 'jer' would be better. I can add a 'k' at the end and you will be the perfect jerk." Jeremy laughed out loud, earning him angry looks from people in the hallway.

"Your humor is different. Do you know how much you amaze me day by day?" he said, staring into my eyes.

"Jeremy, we've talked about this. I don't like you like that, okay?" I replied, noticing a glimpse of sadness in his eyes.

"I know. Just let me stay with you as a friend, and let me take care of you," he pleaded. I smiled at him, touched by his sincerity.

"Well, it's about time we head to our classes, isn't it?" I said, checking my watch. But he was looking somewhere else.

"You know, Alex, I think that girl over there has been staring at you ever since I started talking to you," Jeremy pointed out. I followed his gaze and it landed on her: the girl who had been running through my mind since the day I saw her, yet I still don't know her name. Irony. I smirked when my eyes met hers.

"Hey Jeremy, I gotta leave quickly. See you at lunch," I said while my eyes were glued to her. I felt guilty for doing that, but I was sure Jeremy would understand. He's a good friend. He said goodbye and left for his class too. I walked over to her, noticing her ears getting bright red. She was caught off guard. I laughed internally and smirked, looking at her getting embarrassed.

"Can't take your eyes off me? I can't blame you; I am too hot," I said, grinning like crazy and locking eyes with her. She looked at me and rolled her eyes.

"You are so full of yourself. No way I would think you are hot," she retorted, rolling her eyes again.

"You might think I am not hot, but I can make your eyes roll, in both anger and pleasure," I replied, taking a step closer to her. Her eyes widened, and her cheeks turned red. They turned even redder when I raised my hand to the level of her neck, gently pulling her closer. She closed her eyes beneath my touch, her heart racing as fast as mine. I could see her biting her lip, I could see the redness of the bite marks she left on her lips. I lifted my hand slightly so that my thumb touched her lips, tracing them lightly as I looked into her eyes.

"You never told me your name, darling?" I said in a raspy whisper.

"Olivia, Olivia Wright," she replied softly. I let out a thoughtful sound.

"I will be calling you Liv, babe. Is that alright?" She nodded. I was about to do something that I might regret or be proud of later, but the bell rang, startling both of us. That's when we realized what we were doing. We both stepped back and ran to our classes, not glancing back or even saying goodbye. The hallway was empty, meaning no one saw us. I looked at my thumb, which had been on her lips. I smiled and kissed it before walking into my class, and suddenly...
