"Ok fine then, if you dont answer my questions I won't hesitate to slit your throat." The cold glare the man gave Rin made her whole body tremble, the bravery she had a few seconds before vanished. "So let's try this again, what is your name?" The man asked. "Rin." she quietly responded. "Now that's a good girl. How old are you?" "16" The man stared at her, she knew she looked a few years older than her age, and he would be confused but he didn't say anything for what felt like an eternity, was he thinking of another question? "Where is the rest of your family?" Rin's eyes grew wide in surprise, did they not know that they were dead, and she was the last survivor? "Are you gonna answer me or just sit there staring?!" The man raised his voice as he walked over to less than an arms length away from Rin. "There all dead." She said quickly not wanting to get her through slit from this angry man. "Don't, lie to me girl!" The man yelled, pulling out a dagger from his waist band. The action caused Rin to start trembling more, was he going to kill her? "Speak, the truth this time." The man said a little more calmed down but still gripping the dagger he held tightly. "My grandparents died before I was born, my aunt, uncle, and cousins died when the army invaded our village along with the rest of my family, besides me, my mother, and my father. My father died from a fever a few years ago, and your army just killed... my mother." Rin said as a lone tear ran down her cheek, that she quickly wiped away, she wouldn't cry in front of this man.

Shen Yi

He was confused, not by the fact they all were dead, but by this girl. A descendant of the most brutal and evil clan, that stopped at nothing to kill countless of his ancestors, crying over her dead relatives? Weren't they supposed not have any feelings? He recalled his father telling him all they knew how to do was kill. But here was this girl crying. He sat and watched the girl fidget with her hands, still bound together, she was clearly worried about his threat to slice her throat. He knew that was an empty promise the empire needed her for something, although he didn't know what. " Fine then." he said and walked back an sat in his chair. He saw the girl release a breath he didn't know she was holding. " How long were you and your mother staying at that house?" "5 years" she replied nonchalantly. FIVE YEARS! The Empire has been searching for them left and right thinking they moved houses every month or so, how have they not been caught staying in the same place for FIVE WHOLE YEARS! As if reading his mind the girl spoke up, "Me and my mother got rid of our last name a long time ago, she even changed her first name, no one knew our background." He was so angered did she really think just because of a simple name change we wouldn't be able to find them for years? That would have only given them a few more months, let alone years! The rage started boiling in him, he knew that if he stayed in this room any longer he wouldn't be able to stop himself from killing her. "Ok." And with that quick word he left the room immediately to tell his father what he found out from her.

Finally he was gone. Rin couldn't stop herself from giggling after seeing how angry he got. Of course my mother did change her name but she also took countless days and thousands of dollars to make sure no one would ever find out about them. 'tsk' she she thought to herself all of that and it only got them five years! She had to find a way to escape, who knew how long they would keep her before killing her off just like they did with the rest of her family. Noticing the room didn't even have a window or anything Rin lies there staring at the ceiling lost in thought. She didn't know how long she was there as she soon fell into a deep sleep.

Suddenly she awoke a cold sweat had broken out on her forehead, damn not that dream again! The familiar faces of everyone she had ever loved covered in blood, their eyes rolled back into their heads, this was a recurring dream, but this time her mother's face was also there. As her eyes became adjusted to the light she realized that the man from before was there but this time he was accompanied by another man seemingly in his 60's.
