36. Keeping It Light.

"I find myself loving her again. I want her again." Andrè suddenly blurts out.

What?

Is he determined to bring us apart even after all our years of friendship?

For a woman?

Even though I want Akeelah for myself, I would know better than to just jump into conclusions and segregate myself from my friends for a while and even though it has happened before between I and Andrè, I am willing to apologize and let bygones be bygones.

"You want her? Again? You know what that makes you sound like doesn't it?" I ask him, deliberately choosing my words carefully

He looks at me, almost like he's trying to read what I mean.

"I know what that means, you definitely don't mind pointing it out to me though." He remarks and fishes out his car keys from his pocket.

"Hold on." I grab his hands

"What's with your engagement party this Saturday?"

"There should be nothing to worry about for you." Andrè simply throws at me and gets into his car.
