Chapter 68, Outer Realm's Egg

Entering my apartment after so long made me feel a little bit of nostalgia.

I just shook my head to drive those feeling away and took my phone from my system storage to open it and check if there was anything from my mother.

This was the first message that popped in front of my face when I opened my phone, I was a little speechless but when I checked who is the sender. I couldn't help but feel a little bit guilty.

Apparently, because my phone was out of service, my mother sent a lot of messages because she is worried about me.

I will just send her a message to comfort her a little and go to sleep. When I wake up in the morning I better go back to the Vampire realm to visit her.

Hearing this made me interested to know what would make Lena say that they would be useful to me.

"Okay then show me the egg first," I have a feeling that maybe the egg is less impressive than the vial that was releasing demonic energy, so I left it for the final.

At first, I looked with disinterest. After all, wherever this egg may have come from, it is not going to be something earth-shattering so I am not too interested, but the moment I saw the details. It made me speechless.

After reading all of this, my head was full of question marks.

I was like 'What the Hell?'.

What Outer Realm?

What disaster?

I just kept looking at the description of the Egg in front of me blankly without any change of expression.

After a few moments of silence. I decided to ignore the egg for now. It appeared that the egg is more impressive than it looks. Maybe it came from the many dimensions in the Universe. Strong people should be able to create mini-dimensions and realms.

So, let's leave the egg for now and take a look at the vial.

"Show me the status of the sealed vial."

[Master, don't you want to ask any questions about the origin of the egg?]

"I am curious but I smell a lot of trouble," I said after thinking for a moment.

[But it is better to know and be prepared. It won't take long for the system to analyze the conditions to hatch this egg and since it is freed from the demonic altar you should hatch it in case you don't want the creature inside to die]

"Fine," I said with a sigh. Lena is right, ignoring the problem now isn't going to be something good, it will only delay the problem temporality, and who knows? With my luck, I reckon that trouble would find me again, just like in the past.

[The Outer Realm is the Void outside the Universe. Outside the Universe, there are countless other Universes, like our Universe, that can be found.]

Hearing this answer, I was dumbfounded and my mind was full of question marks again.

"What do you mean outside the Universe?"

Although my imagination is rich from reading all kinds of light novels and stories. Nothing like this was mentioned in the records in the family library but after thinking for a few more moments, I realized that maybe they are mentioned in the deepest levels in the library which even I have no access.

I just shook my head and waited for the answer from Lena patiently.

[Master, did you forget that the person who made the system is someone above the Universe?]

When Lena asked this question, I instantly remembered that when I first asked who made the system, Lena said that it was some Supreme something that has transcended the Universe.

At the time, I was super excited about the system and didn't pay much attention to this nonsense.

"Does that mean that there is something outside the Universe?"

"How can someone reach there?"

[Master, you are still too weak to know but what you should know is that sooner or later you will get your answer]

Of course, what Lena is talking about here is the crazy person who is currently trying to open a passage between the Outer Realm and this Universe.

Normally, a Universe would naturally form this connection with the Outer Realm when its evolution reached a certain level and the inhabitants in it are strong enough to start exploring the Outer Realm.

The Universe that Max and Will are in can be considered relatively new, it has been around for a few trillion years which could be considered very young. So, the Universe would remain hidden in the Outer Realm.

So, unless someone extremely powerful noticed the Universe and decided to invade it. It would remain peaceful until it is ready.

But this Universe has already been noticed three times before.

The first occurred before Will's birth, the second when he was a puppet of the Universe, and the most recent one is the reason why a crazy person is currently trying to break the barrier

Anyway back to Max and Lena.

"Like how strong are you talking about?" I asked curiously.

[When you at least reach the Ascendent realm and that would make you qualified to know. Even the people who have reached the 8th realm don't know about the Outer Realm, Master]

"I will know earlier because of the System?"

[Exactly, Master]

"I see," I nodded my head and didn't give it much thought since it is important now.

"Then what else should I know for now?"

[You should know that this egg comes from a species from another Universe. So, when you hatch it will release a signal to the outside which would probably attract its family even if they are still alive]

"Isn't this bad?" I asked as I started to get a little bit anxious.

[It will depend]

"On what?"

[On whether its family is still alive and whether they are strong enough to break the barrier to come here]

Lena didn't mention anything about the possibility that the barrier would probably break very soon if no one stopped that person from doing what he is doing.
