Megalomaniac

"Gay?"

Gilgamesh was momentarily taken aback upon hearing this new term. He didn't quite grasp its meaning, but judging by the disdainful expression on the beautiful loli's face, it clearly wasn't something complimentary.

"This is the first time someone has dared to refuse the invitation of a king who enjoys supreme glory," Gilgamesh's lips curled into a smile as he stepped forward, leaning down to whisper in Kaguya's ear, "You truly are unique, just as I had anticipated. Unlike the filthy souls of this world, you are more interesting. I suddenly realize that coming to this world might not have been such a bad idea after all. Even in a barren desert, there are a few precious gems, and you, you've successfully piqued my interest."

"If that's all you wanted to say, then I'm afraid I'm not interested." Kaguya's clear autumn-water-like eyes flashed with a sharp glint as she let out a soft laugh. "How can you be so sure that you're the only king of this world? That you're the only King of Heroes? Isn't that a bit arrogant and conceited?"

"Arrogant? Conceited?" Gilgamesh seemed to find this amusing and laughed heartily. "For those without strength, reaching for unattainable glory is indeed arrogance. But for one as mighty and unblemished as the King of Heroes, it is only natural. Whatever the King of Heroes does is inherently right. If there are any objections, they are merely the pitiful wails of mongrels. All they can do is crawl upon the path I tread, groveling in worship."

Kaguya was speechless. This Golden Boy was truly insufferably arrogant. She'd met cocky people before, but never to this extreme. His arrogance was practically off the charts. No wonder he eventually ended up getting his arm chopped off by Shirou Emiya, then finished off by Archer, and finally used by the Holy Grail to fill its void. If he weren't so full of himself, Shirou might not have been able to defeat him.

After all, Gilgamesh was considered the strongest Servant in both Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night. Ordinary Servants were no match for him. If he fought seriously, he would be an "invincible Servant," capable of ending the war in a single night.

But his flaw was his extreme arrogance, his need to show off, which led to his downfall in every route.

It's said that if you show off too much, you'll eventually get struck down, and Gilgamesh was the perfect example of that.

Apparently, though, this Gilgamesh hadn't realized that—or, if he had, he wasn't going to change.

"I have no interest in anything you've said, nor do I want to waste any more time here. If there's nothing else, I'm leaving," Kaguya turned her back, ready to walk away.

For her, being someone's subordinate was out of the question, and even more so was being someone's possession. Nothing was more important right now than sleep.

At that moment, a cold flash cut through the air.

Clang!

A sword, gleaming with icy energy, embedded itself into the wall right beside Kaguya, just a few centimeters away. The impact left deep cracks along the wall.

Kaguya turned back, her eyebrows furrowed, her expression cold. "What's this? Are you looking for trouble?"

"I already told you, no one can refuse the invitation of the King of Heroes. That includes you," Gilgamesh looked at her with predatory eyes, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"And what if I refuse?" Kaguya's tone was hostile.

"Defying the king and showing such disrespect carries a heavy price—one that can only be cleansed with blood," Gilgamesh said. "However, for you, I will show mercy and reduce the severity of your punishment. After all, a beautiful gem with even a single blemish would be nothing more than waste. But if you repent now, there is still time. I am, after all, quite magnanimous."

"No one pulls a sword on me, not even a shiny golden Pikachu."

Kaguya's eyes narrowed as her silver hair began to float, untouched by the wind. A tremendous power surged around her, and an overwhelming aura crashed toward Gilgamesh like a tidal wave.

"Oh?" Gilgamesh was momentarily surprised, then his lips curled into a smile. "I must admit, you are indeed qualified to converse with me. Impressive. Because you've amused me, I shall forgive your earlier insolence."

Kaguya almost choked at his words, her gathering aura instantly dispersing.

Is this guy the reincarnation of some "Overpowered Main Character"? His arrogance was off the charts, as if merely speaking to others was a gift bestowed by his grace.

But then again, Kaguya couldn't help but think of another person who spoke in a similarly grandiose manner. Surely, anyone who's familiar with Naruto knows who he is—Uchiha Madara. If these two ever met, it would undoubtedly be quite the spectacle.

"Fine, thank you for your gracious pardon," Kaguya glanced at him and muttered irritably. She couldn't believe she was actually taking this pompous idiot seriously. It was ridiculous to expect someone like him to change his attitude, even after a hundred years.

"Good. Now that you understand," Gilgamesh chuckled lightly, extending his hand, "You are a treasure belonging to the King. Only here, by my side, will your beauty truly shine. Come, join me."

"Sorry, why don't you go cool off somewhere else?" Kaguya's eye twitched. This guy really was persistent. "I don't have time for your games."

"I wasn't asking for your opinion. I was simply stating my decision," Gilgamesh said with a smirk.

Upon hearing this, Kaguya felt her skin crawl. This guy was beyond arrogant—he made even the likes of other overpowered, cocky characters pale in comparison.

She barely restrained the urge to hurl her ultimate Truth-Seeking Ball at his face and said, "And what if my decision is 'no'?"

Gilgamesh's lips curled into a grin. "No one can escape from my grasp. If you don't obey, I'll simply have to show you the consequences of defying me."

"Then come and try it." Kaguya's clear, crystalline eyes glinted with icy coldness. Her magical energy swirled around her like a vortex, invisible yet palpable, as her immense power began to gather.

Inside, Kaguya was deeply frustrated. If she'd known it would come to a fight, she wouldn't have wasted so much time talking to this guy in the first place. It was all just a waste of time.
