The young man ignored them and then walked towards a lavish-looking wooden house

"no Father, we didn't see anyone except for some beast, but the houses looked abandoned not long ago," the young man said with a smile

"then what do you think happened? Were they all killed by beasts?" the patriarch said

"no Father, there's no blood in the area and there's no sign of fighting," the young man said

"then what do you think happened son?" the patriarch asked

"Father, I think the pointy-eared guarding the village perished or are gravely injured that's why all the pointy-eared ones took shelter inside the barrier," the young man replied while bowing

The patriarch is deep in thought. Then he said

"elders, what do you advise we should do?"

"patriarch this matter is important and cannot be delayed, let us covertly deploy our men to the village and break the barrier," A white-bearded old man said

"I agree" "so am I" "I shall accompany the young master" "I shall too," haft of the elders said

The warriors finished training for the day and went on their separate ways Lawrence, Aisha, and Adriana walked together

"Chieftess, may I build a house near the glade so I wouldn't need to travel long distances? " Lawrence asked

"I almost forgot that you lost your memories, we can build our house wherever we want except near the world tree," the chieftess said with a smile

"I that so? Then I shall build a big one near the glade so the other warriors can also live there if they want" Lawrence said with a smile

A few seconds later, he starts tearing the floor made from trunks, sticks, and branches.

"What happened Lawrence," Aisha said worriedly

"did you see something?" Adriana asked

After opening the wooden floor, Lawrence Lawrence found something

"A map and some weapons but they are all rusty" Lawrence said with an awkward smile

The hell, all that sh*t for a rusty sword and a map. I might be the one dying if I suddenly cut myself with this thing, this sh*t looks older that the world tree

"never mind, may I have this sword elder Aisha and chieftess?" Lawrence said with a smile

"You can have it" "Yes, it's yours now" They both replied with a smile

"Thank you, let's go home now and call it a day, we still need to train tomorrow," Lawrence said with a smile

Well, a rusty sword is better than nothing I guess. And what's this map?

I wondered why I kept on having this feeling that I needed a sword though, it's not like I'll need to fight anytime soon. Maybe because I always carry one before as a soldier? Hmm or is it something else I wonder?

Nah let's not think about it, tomorrow will be another long day of training for sure
