Back In Business
As I look at my katana I unsheathe it and lay it down on the anvil before making a cast in it's shape and getting precise measurements and I start melting the metal before forging the blade and cooling it.
As I wait for the blade to cool I take it out and put it back in the hilt. As soon as the blade touches the hilt it changes from blood red back to normal. I'm pretty confused as to why this is happening and I look over the sword to find what happened.
Aside from a slide in opening for what I'm assuming is a god's tear being added I cut my finger on the blade and it's color changes back to blood red. I'm confused as to what it does but I'll just who it to Angelica later.
As I sheath my sword and close the empty part for the gem while putting the gun back inside my storage room and I walk back over to my room and find Angelica lying down on the bed. As I close the door she turns around.
"What's up?"
"Could you tell me what the sword does?" I toss her the sheathed blade and she catches before unsheathing it.
"It's an extremely well crafted sword that can temporally increase cutting power depending on how much blood it's absorbed. Who's blood doesn't matter, and the sharpness without the boost can cut through almost anything without difficulty."
She tosses me back the blade and I sheath it before spreading my shadow across the room.
"We don't have anything important going on right?"
"No."
"Perfect, let's go back to my world." She jumps up and I unsheathe my sword before swinging vertically and horizontally before walking in. As I walk inside Angelica follows behind and the gash closes and were surrounded by stars.
I enjoy the scenery for a few seconds before cutting another gash in space and stepping out in my shop to find Amelia driving a forklift full of radioactive materials while Justin and Bianca are drinking.
As I step foot inside the shop everyone stops what their doing and looks back at me in shock before I hear a loud crash and find that all the uranium that Amelia was carrying had dropped and everyone had made something of a circle around me.
"I'm back" As I say this I find a table pulled over and everyone is sitting down while chatting. I just take some uncooked food out back while grabbing a beer with a shadow hand from Bianca's room.
When I come back out with some burger and steak I found lying around I go server it with some shadow hands and find that Marcia had suddenly appeared and was also expecting food. While everyone eats I go back to my room.
When I walk in I see a streaming window and find another monitor editing what I'm assuming is a video while another five are making documents and plans with the copious amounts of blackmail I have saved in my homework folder.
As I walk in the room the audio was muted and a synthesized voice starts talking.
"Didn't think you'd be back so soon."
"Same here, having fun?" I get no response but considering it's me I know damn well I've been enjoying myself.
"I've released a bunch of games and the like early."
"Any personal favorites?"
"Devil's Tears 3 is pretty fun" I look over to see the screen better and I find he's on Smoke with all the titanium cog games and the spinoffs. Funny thing is only the first one has been released when I left.
"How many game franchises did you finish?" He choses not to answer and I shake my head.
"No heard any of that right?"
"You're a cyborg, you know that's impossible. Besides if someone gets past my defense they deserve to know." As I got to reply a tentacle of blood raps around my thigh and drags me into the kitchen.
"So pretty boy, got yourself a girlfriend?" I cut the blood off and fall onto my feet before taking her beer and adding some of my blood into it. Angelica instantly stops talking with Marcia and listens.
"Not yet." Angelica looks elated and turns back trying to act like she didn't listen in.
"How'd you meet her?" She has that look you always want to avoid meeting someone with.
"Not my story to tell." Amelia look disappointed and turns back to her booze and chugs it.
We keep partying for awhile and I find that Justin and Bianca are dating and I'm not that surprised. While I'm going to get the controllers for some games I hear someone crying. I walk outside to find a little boy radiating light.
I walk over and the boy stops crying and look up at me.
"Who are you?"
"I run the shop over there, why are you here kid?"
"m-mom and dad said they don't want a freak." He then starts crying again and I look inside his soul to find that this kid actually managed to awaken is superpower without external help.
"Alright kid, why don't you come with me and I'll feed you something and find you a better family?"
He just nods his head and grabs my hand while I walk back to the shop and everyone stops again looking back at me with confusion.
"So your raising a kid now?"
"No way in hell. I'm not qualified to be a parent and you know that. I'm going to visit mom and dad later today and tell them about the magic. I'll just take him with." everyone just nods their head and start clearing up while I give the kid the ramen I was making for myself.
As he eats the noodles I realize that I'm now pushing the responsibility of raising a glowing child to my now 50 year old parents.
I'm a wonderful son, I'm sure other parents would love to have someone like me deliver glowing children at their doorstep.
I just walk back into my room and fall asleep while wondering if I should go back to the other world or not.
