Lying down under blankets in his top bunk with his gaze to the roof, Navi thinks all about the kind of day he has gone through today.
Today seems a little longer than usual for Navi with its highlight still being his trip to the Mana Chambers.
His experience form the Mana Chambers weren't fun or exciting but it was different and in a good way. His tiredness from sleepless nights were replaced with an overdose of energy, his body feels stronger and his mind feels lighter but that is all to it.
He finished his session before the afternoon fully sets in and with his body brimming and energy flowing through his veins, he went from the chamber straight into practice to burn some if it off.
He rode through three normal lessons and one elite lesson hoping from one straight into the other. It isn't until the moon is out that he finally felt exhausted enough to get to his bunk for rest.
Overall, he isn't much happy about how things are going with himself but he isn't sad either and he doesn't like the feeling one bit.
His mother had told him live life instead of living through life and right now, he doesn't feel like he's honouring her words one bit.
Despite his calm face and introverted nature,..
He craves thrill.
Something to get his heart pounding and his brain racking. Something to push him to new limits, something to make him laugh and something to make him cry. Something to make him shout and something to make him roar!,..
Something intense enough to make him run!, and fiery enough to make him fly.
Navi feels his heart pounding just thinking of something like this because although he can live with it he isn't the biggest fan of peace,..
He by far prefers Chaos.
He isn't going to make his way out of the prison known as the Outskirts by just living like everyone else and he realises this and so all that's on his mind is a way to push through his potential.
A way to push himself so much into chaos that escaping the Outskirts would be his only way out as well as the power to chase through this so called only-way-out.
Maybe he's being too forward as he's after all only twelve years old but seeing an alternate version of himself in his dreams is fuelling him up with a cause to push himself forward.
With this thoughts swimming in Navi's mind, drowsiness slowly creeps in but he didn't attempt to fight it as it slowly washed him off to the realm of sleep with the last thoughts in his mind being a wish to the world to bring to him the word called 'extreme'.
He is willing to face whatever comes at him as a result of his wish but the question is 'Would he be able to handle the ship that crashes into his shores?'.
Navi's sleeping body and mind had no time to ponder on this question as his muscles suddenly tenses up in pain marking the beginning of a familiar torturous routine.
His grip tightens against his bedsheets as breathing starts to become difficult for him.
In his mind, he's back to a familiar and harsh setting. The voices, the emotions, the pain and the blurry scenes, everything is the same except the fact that he is not on the endless snowy ground like last time.
This time, he's somehow underwater!.
He could see the rays of sunlight at the surface of the water as he slowly sinks lower and lower into the endless blue. He tries to reach out for the surface but the resistance of the water wouldn't let him as air bubbles rushes out of his mouth and nose.
Everything is getting blurry but the persistent voices and emotions became even clearer while weighing down on him like an iron anchor that's slowly leading him to his doom even though he didn't truly have a body!.
In reality, Navi's grip on his blankets were extremely tight but all of a sudden, his fingers loses most of their strenght with his chest straining painfully.
He seems to be desperately trying to take in some air but his body is completely unresponsive as his neck begins to show slightly blue veins under the moonlight coming in from the rooms single window.
Navi has never ever felt so close to death before as he feels himself slowly sinking deeper into the water with the overlapping voices finally quieting down a little as a scene playing in his mind slowly gets clearer..
The scene seems to pull him out of the waters as his lungs expands with a loud but choked gasp that he takes both in his dream and in reality.
*AAUUUUGH!..*...*PANT*..*PANT*.. *COUGH*..*PANT*...
Despite not truly having a body, Navi finds himself on the floor Coughing and panting furiously with the bitter taste of impending death and fear still on his heart.
He didn't even bother to look around the new scene as his instincts for air and life were still in motion.
This 'episode' is not as painful physically but it's still a lot worse that the rest. The fear he felt as he sank closer to his doom and the voices that seemed to pull him down further to the inevitable. Definitely a new trauma!.
With a final deep breath in an attempt to calm his mind, Navi finally takes in his new surroundings or rather,.. point-of-view.
It was.. different.
It is late at night with a crescent moon hanging like a silent lantern in the veil of dark that's littered by a canopy of stars.
The other person who he sees as an alternate version of himself is currently standing high above the ground - on a building to be specific - as he looks towards another set of buildings.
The buildings in this setting had architecture like nothing Navi has ever seen before. It is a prison setting with net-like steel divisions, high fence laced with sharp barb-wires and high watch post shining down blinding circular light across the different prison yards for inspection.
Different guarded buildings were spread across the grounds, some were one-storey structures with open roofs, others were just simple rectangles with a roof on top of them while parts of the fences had slots for guards on night patrol.
Navi looks at the vicinity and takes in as much information as he can with new words popping up in his mind every now and then. Policemen, Military men, Agents, Assets, Dogs, Night watchers, Mutants, CIRO amongst many others.
These are words he haven't been in contact with yet he could recall as soon as his eyes fell on the corresponding people. Vested and full armed men with bold white words on their back were either roaming the area with military dogs or standing their grounds while occasionally talking into a device he recognises as a Walkie-talkie.
Fully armed and conscious Soldiers in their pale green gear-up occupies a completely different post from the rest as they casually surveys the front and around a simple looking rectangular building with military trucks of the same colour as their vests parked in front of the building they are obviously defending.
Although, he doesn't know much about this current situation, Navi can almost smell words like secure, dangerous and secret from it's organised yet bustling activities. The entire set up of the place stinks of the phrase 'hell to invaders' yet judging by the hidden position of his alternate self as well as the pair of binoculars,..
They were about to dive straight in.
With this thought in mind, Navi feels a bit of the other guys emotions which consisted of only three things,.. calm, acceptance and one more emotions he isn't familiar with yet he keeps on firmly suppressing.
Navi's inexistent brows furrows as he tries to determine the last emotion but he is soon interrupted by a static radio sound transmitted directly into his mind.
*STATIC RADIO.. CREAAK.. CREE.. CREAK*.
