A vast grassland, clear blue sky and various swords scattered across the horizon greeted them. Each blade seemed to shimmer with its own unique energy, casting an ethereal glow upon the landscape.
"This is... Unlimited Blade Works?" Zenkichi muttered in confusion, looking around the world around him.
He remembered the Reality Marbles that Shirou Emiya or Archer had, and this wasn't anything like it.
A vast grassland, pristine swords protruding from the ground, a bright sun shining from a clear blue sky.
"Gudako!" He quickly snapped out of his daze and turned to look for his master, as she was the most vulnerable among them. She dies, then everyone, this world would follow suit. He was not going to let that happen!
But as he looked around, he found that everyone else was here except for Gudako and Mash. Even the Lion King and Bedivere were here.
"This place is..." The Lion King muttered as she looked around the Reality Marble, her eyes flickered with a strange glint.
Everyone else were similarly taken aback by the world around them for a short moment, before it was inevitably broken by an animalistic roar that it vibrated the swords; it was so loud that it made some of them cover their ears.
"Aaaarthuuuurrrr!" Berserker Lancelot, enveloped by a thick dark miasma that reeked of darkness and evil, grabbed a strange sword with his other hand; it had no cross-guard, its pommel was a sharp small blade similar to the main blade, glowing with a crimson color.
He waved it to the side and four, dark-red daggers, appeared around him.
"That sword...! Why do you have that sword?!" Brunhilde cried out, her eyes wide with anger and disbelief as she lunged at the black knight with her spear in hand.
Swoosh!
Without any hesitation, she charged forward, her spear poised to strike at Berserker Lancelot's head. But before she could land her attack, Lancelot moved with incredible speed, his movements fluid and precise despite his berserk state; all due to his skill, Eternal Arms Master: a skill by complete the merging of mind, body, and technique, it is possible to make use of full fighting skills even when under the influence of any sort of mental hindrance.
With a swift motion, Lancelot parried Brunhilde's strike with his dark purple sword, causing sparks to fly as metal clashed against metal. His red visor glowed, and the levitating daggers around him spun with incredible speed as if they had a mind of their own, aiming to strike at Brunhilde from multiple angles at her vital points.
"Tch!" She clicked her teeth, parrying off the darkened Arondight, she quickly tried to deflect the blades, but the force behind them was enough to push her back.
"Damn it! You fucking bastard," Brunhilde gritted her teeth, her eyes blazing with determination as she tried to find her footing but Berserker Lancelot pressed his advantage, relentlessly driving her back with his onslaught of attacks. Despite her skill and prowess in battle, Brunhilde found herself hard-pressed to keep up with the relentless assault of Lancelot and his swordsmanship.
They weren't the only ones to fight, as Baobhan Sith giggled as she raised her hand, with a wide bloodthirsty smile, and a black bow appeared in her hand with red magical energy, reminiscent of blood, swirling to life around her.
"All lives will deteriorate and all bodies will come to a halt in the presence of my sound."
"Oh no you don't!" Tawara exclaimed, he raised his long red bow, drawing back a red arrow, droplets of blue magical energy like it were water gathered at the tip.
"Failnaught!"
"Hachiman Prayer!"
Numerous red string-like arrows enveloped Tawara's body, leaving him without any escape. While Tawara's arrow, infused with the power of his Hachiman Prayer, soared through the air with unparalleled speed and accuracy, heading straight for Baobhan Sith. As it flew, the arrow left a trail of shimmering blue dragon-like energy in its wake, crackling with potent magical force.
Boom!
"Woah!" Sanzang yelped as she dodged the deadly sword strikes of both Gawain and Barghest, they almost sliced off both her arms if it weren't for the help of laserbeams, blasting at their chests and forcing them back.
Sanzang quickly jumped back, wiping off the sweat off her forehead. "That was so close! If it weren't for Wukong forcing me to exercise once a while, I would've been a goner." She turned to the side and raised a thumbs up. "Thank you, Da Vinci-chan!"
"No problem." Da Vinci replied, grinning, but her smile fell when she saw the two knights getting moving towards Sanzang. "Move!"
"Eek!"
'Things are getting chaotic, and we're obviously losing here.' Zenkichi thought, clenching his hands in frustration and guilt.
He severely underestimated the Lion King, she was more powerful than he had initially thought. He had let his ego and power get the better of him! If he had just followed with the initial plot of this world's story, if he had just let himself be a background character, then things would be...!
'No, I can't let myself dwell on regrets now. I need to focus on the present and find a way to turn the tide of this battle,' Zenkichi thought, shaking off his self-doubt and turned to look where Shirou Emiya was hiding. If he could just kill him, then he and his companions would be free from this reality marble-
"DROP DEAD!"
"Hm?"
Zenkichi raised an eyebrow, and without thinking, he grabbed a nearby sword and blocked the incoming attack just in time. Dense red lightning swirled like a storm around Clarent as Mordred tried to overpower him with her sword, but he didn't budge an inch, meeting her strike with equal force.
"You really don't learn, do you?" Zenkichi lightly said as he easily pushed off the sword to the side and went for a downward strike.
"Shut up!" Mordred however, quickly recovered from the deflected strike, her eyes blazing with fury as she parried Zenkichi's downward strike with Clarent. The clash of their swords echoed through the battlefield, each blow resonating with incredible force.
Fortunately, the sword that Zenkichi randomly grabbed was a fairly high level noble phantasm. For further analysis, he was shocked to find it was extremely powerful man-slayer katana, a sword that had once been in the hands of one of Shinsengumi's Captains.
It was a sword that had once been carried by someone regarded with the Undefeatable Swordsmanship, hence given the name: Invincible Blade.
Of course, the owner was the one to give such a arrogant name.
'How the heck did that guy get this? Now that I think, which version of Shirou Emiya am I facing against?'
Zenkichi was soon brought back to reality as he felt the weight of Mordred's strength pushing against him, but he remained steadfast, his grip unwavering. He glanced at the side once a while to try and find Shirou Emiya, and it didn't take him long to find him approaching the Lion King.
'How did he get that far?'
"Don't you take your eyes off me!" Mordred growled, red lightning once more emerged from her body and crackled with incredible magical energy, however strangely, it was more powerful than before. Her armor broke apart, revealing her red clothing that left to no imagination, having used her Gift, Rampage, to burn up her soul in exchange for a burst of overwhelming magical energy so she could use her noble phantasm even more.
The red lightning danced around her, casting an eerie glow across the battlefield.
"I'm gonna freakin' kill you! For destroying what my father has created! For the numerous sacrifices he's forced to make, only to be disrupted by some... asshole," She growled and raised the sword Clarent to her side, intending for a horizontal slash. "O body, meet a glorious death for the prosperity of Camelot!"
"... How pitiful." Zenkichi muttered, his eyes shone with a red glow and his aura seemed to pull back into his body, making seemed as though he had given up or something. But his eyes painted a different story.
"Let's put you down to rest."
He took a deep breath and pull the katana to his side. The world around him seemed to disappear, with the exception of Mordred.
'I'm getting exhausted, I have to save up my energy. Thankfully I managed to grab this sword and get the skill within its history,' He thought and began to approach Mordred.
'Devil Style; Swordsmanship. Understanding the skillset and concept behind the sword style.'
He walked towards her in a slow and lazy manner, yet in just a few steps he was already right in front of her; he moved like a phantom and raised his sword.
'What?!'
Mordred's eyes widened at his sudden speed and with grinding teeth, more magical energy swirled around her sword and she poised to strike at him point blank.
"Feel the seething rage of this planet! Clarent Blood Arthur-!"
"... Formless."
There was a cold glint of a blade, as Zenkichi swirled around her with his sword slashing at her by every direction; inverse and diagonally. He then walked past her, his sword held by his side.
"Ah..."
Mordred stood still, blood dripping from multiple wounds inflicted by Zenkichi's swift and precise strikes inflicted on her body.
She staggered, Clarent, now without magical energy wrapped around it, fell to the ground from her hand. Her eyes dimmed, the life in her slowly dissipated.
She raises her head, her hand outstretched, as if to grab onto something.
"F-Father..."
She took a step forward... and she disappeared into motes of magical energy.
"..." Zenkichi sighed and shook his head. Turning his head, he immediately went towards Shirou Emiya before he reaches the Lion King.
.....
"This is your last chance, knight. Throw that sword away and stand by my side." The Lion King ordered, her voice ringing out with authority as she faced Bedivere, her expression impassive.
"My king... no, Lion King. I..." Bedivere said through heavy panted breaths, his figure a sorry state. Cracks spread across his face and his skin under his armor, even so, despite the pain, he still stood his ground.
"..." The Lion King stared at him for a moment and closed her eyes. "I see. How unfortunate, but necessary. You leave me with no choice."
With a swift motion, the Lion King raised her sword, ready to strike down Bedivere. But before she could make her move, a figure suddenly appeared between them, blocking the Lion King's beam of light with a sword.
"Shirou, you-" She stopped mid-sentence, her eyes on the sword and an expression of shock flashed across her face.
"That sword..." Bedivere was stunned at the unexpected help but his eyes focused on the sword, and his expression changed.
It was a sword that had been the turning point of the Lion King's past, the sword that had been the beginning and destroyed on her journey to kingship.
"Saber, I-"
Shirou was about to say something when a bright flash of blue light struck him, a fiery explosion then followed, completely engulfing him in its hellish flames.
Bedivere and the Lion King to staggered back a few steps in surprise.
As dust and smoke gathered, a loud voice resounded from the distance.
"Oh come on! Why won't you die?!"
