Chapter 7: A Familiar Encounter

Odin's POV

"Guardian? Wake up, Guardian."

The words echoed in my mind as my consciousness stirred, and slowly, I began to regain my senses. I felt a comforting presence, a guiding light in the boundless void. The voice spoke again, and this time, it was filled with warmth and familiarity.

As I opened my eyes, I was blinded by the sunlight's rays. My eyes struggled to adjust to the brightness as I took in the surreal surroundings. I found myself lying on a vast, golden desert with dunes that stretched as far as the eye could see. The sand beneath me was warm to the touch, and a gentle breeze stirred the grains into mesmerizing patterns.

In the distance, I spotted an anomaly—a floating, translucent, blue eye encased in a white shell. It hovered in the air, its gaze fixed on me. My heart raced as I recognized the entity before me.

A Ghost.

I had seen this type of entity before, but not in this reality. The Ghost was a familiar sight from the game Destiny 2, a universe I had spent a significant portion of my time in when I was still in my original world, back on Earth.

Memories of battles on alien planets and the camaraderie with other Guardians flooded my mind. I had wielded weapons of immense power, donned legendary armor, and fought against formidable extraterrestrial threats. Now, I couldn't help but wonder if I had somehow transmigrated into the Destiny universe.

But which Destiny universe was this? Destiny 1 or Destiny 2? The answer eluded me, and I couldn't shake the surreal nature of my surroundings.

The Ghost continued to hover, its blue eye focused on me. It spoke again, its voice soothing and filled with a sense of purpose. "Guardian, you have awakened. The universe is in turmoil, and your presence is needed. Darkness encroaches, and the Light seeks champions."

As the words washed over me, a sense of duty welled up from deep within. I remembered the Guardian's creed: to protect the Last City, to stand against the forces of the Darkness, and to be the beacon of hope in a world filled with peril.

With determination, I sat up in the golden sand and looked at the Ghost. "I may not fully understand how I got here or what this universe is, but I'm ready to stand and fight. I'll be the Guardian this world needs."

The Ghost's eye blinked in response, its shell radiating a soft, azure glow. It was a reassuring gesture, and I felt a connection with this entity, a connection that transcended the boundaries of any universe.

With the Ghost as my guide, I embarked on a new adventure, ready to embrace the unknown and protect this universe from the encroaching Darkness. The memories of my gaming days had become a reality, and my destiny was entwined with the fate of this world.

As I followed the Ghost through the desert, I couldn't help but think that this new chapter of my existence would be filled with challenges and wonders, much like the video games I had once loved. I was now a Guardian, a defender of the Light, and my journey had only just begun.
