As Leo's karma points continued to grow, he felt a sense of satisfaction. He decided to finish his business in the library, ignoring the guy who had discovered the demonic cultivation technique. However, Leo couldn't help but contemplate the situation at hand. 'There's no way a demonic cultivation technique could appear in the library. The sect controls every book before it is placed here,' he thought to himself.

Leo pondered who had enough power and authority to sneak such a technique into the library without getting caught. He concluded that the only possible culprits were either the sect master or one of the peak masters. Then, Leo remembered the Wood Peak master, Derek, and muttered to himself, "If someone were to do this, it would probably be that bastard Derek." Leo suspected that Derek was capable of such a sneaky move.

Leo's instincts were telling him that this event had a connection to Derek. So, Leo tried to find the purpose of placing the demonic cultivation technique in the library among techniques that people thought were trash, and only people with low talent visited. But he couldn't find a reason compelling enough to warrant the effort, so he decided to drop the matter for now. He thought about reporting this matter to the higher-ups, but he decided against it upon realizing he didn't have any proof connecting this event to Derek. For now, he decided to watch over and try to find out the purpose of Derek's actions.

By doing so, Leo realized that probably a lot of dead bodies with the cause of failed demonication would be found in the sect in the coming years. But Leo thought, 'It isn't my problem. Even if I report the source of the demonic cultivation techniques to the sect, it will only alert Derek, which will probably cause him to change his plans and ruin my only lead to him.' Leo didn't care if people would get hurt due to his decision. His only purpose was to achieve his own aims. That's why he ignored the guy who had found the demonic cultivation.

After finding the book he needed, Leo headed to the counter to register his selection. The staff asked him if he wanted to buy or rent the books. Leo remembered that some common books, like the ones he had taken, were available for purchase because they weren't precious enough to keep the ownership of the book.

Deciding to purchase the books, Leo was pleased to learn that all four of them were only worth ten spirit stones. He quickly registered his purchase and then left the library, satisfied with his selection.

After leaving the library, Leo made his way to the Disciple Affairs Building to take care of some important business. As an outer sect disciple, he was responsible for paying his own living expenses to the sect. Each year cost five spirit stones, so he decided to pay for the next ten years in advance, which would cost him fifty spirit stones in total. It was a large sum of money, but Leo knew it was necessary to maintain his status within the sect.

After making the payment, Leo checked his remaining funds and saw that he had only thirty spirit stones left. While this was less than he would have liked, he was glad that he had taken care of his living expenses and had a roof over his head for the next ten years. After that Leo left the Disciple Affairs Building.

As Leo left, he made sure he hadn't forgotten anything else that needed to be done in the main peak, but couldn't think of anything. He thought to himself 'My business in the main peak is finished' and headed towards the Fire Peak. This was where the owner of his mission, Thomas, an Inner Sect disciple of the Fire Peak and an alchemist, resided. Leo had obtained this information from the staff at the mission hall.

Although he felt weary from wandering around the sect, he knew he had to complete this. So he suppressed his annoyance and proceeded towards the Fire Peak.

After a while, Leo reached the fire peak and made his way towards Thomas's living quarters. As he approached Thomas's doorstep, Leo heard the system alert once again. Another disturbance in the flow of destiny had occurred, and Leo began to entertain the idea of being a disturbance detector.
