As they made their way towards the sect's main peak, Leo's mind was preoccupied with the thought of heading to the mission hall and completing his first assignment. He wanted to free himself from the sect's mandatory missions for another five years. Lost in his thoughts, Leo was taken aback when he heard Ryan's voice coming from the side, "So Leo, which family are you from?"
Confused by the question, Leo wondered, 'Where did he get the idea that I come from an influential family?' Nevertheless, he replied, "I'm an orphan." Ryan looked shocked and confused at Leo's response. Intrigued, Leo decided to learn why Ryan had assumed that he came from a prominent family background. "Why did you think I come from an influential background?" he asked.
After a moment of thoughtful consideration, Ryan replied, "I just assumed that you had a similar background to Rose and Jack since you were hanging out with them." Leo was surprised to learn that Rose and Jack came from influential backgrounds. Eager to learn more, he asked, "What are their backgrounds, and why do you assume that I come from a family just by hanging out with them?"
Leo overheard Ryan's response, "They both hail from an ancient clan that has been residing in the eastern continent for a long time. Regarding your question about why I assumed you were like them, it's mostly because I noticed they tend to associate with individuals who share a similar background to theirs." Leo observed Ryan pause for a moment before continuing, "That's why I presumed you also came from an influential background."
After understanding the cause of the misunderstanding, Leo decided to drop the issue and resumed his journey towards the sect's main peak. However, he soon heard Ryan speaking to him again: "So, you're an orphan. You must be very talented to become an outer sect disciple without any background. When did you pass the outer sect disciple exam?"
Realizing that Ryan was about to have another misunderstanding, Leo decided to be direct and cut to the chase: "I didn't pass the outer sect disciple exam. I was promoted from a servant position upon achieving cultivation."
Leo's response left Ryan in a state of shock. He froze for a moment and stared at Leo, his face questioning, 'What the hell?' After a while, Ryan regained his composure and asked, "So, you're a mortal?" Leo nodded in response and kept walking, but Ryan caught up to him and asked another question, "I thought mortals couldn't cultivate. How did you do it?"
Leo responded, "I was just lucky," and then explained, "Although mortals can cultivate, most of them lack the natural talent for it."
Leo heard Ryan remark, "You're the first person I know who has achieved cultivation despite having a mortal spiritual root." Ryan's amused expression remained as he continued, "I bet the sect didn't expect someone to achieve cultivation while working as a servant. They must have begrudgingly promoted you to an outer sect disciple." Leo then heard Ryan mutter under his breath, "Now I understand why Rose and Jack were hanging out with you."
After a while, they reached the main peak of the sect. Leo listened as Ryan proudly declared, "As you can see from my robe and emblem, I am an inner sect disciple from Sword Peak. If you ever want to hang out, just come and find me." A playful wink followed, "I know all the best spots." When Ryan inquired about Leo's living quarters, Leo saw no harm in sharing the information. After bidding farewell, Ryan departed, leaving Leo alone.
Before heading to the mission hall, Leo decided to extract the space ring he had obtained from the Sect market. However, he wanted to avoid attracting attention, so he searched for a quiet location to perform the extraction.
Before proceeding, Leo consulted the system, "Can you extract the space ring from the inventory, or do I need to take it out into the open?"
The system responded that it could extract items from the inventory without causing any visible changes. With a relieved breath, Leo instructed the system to extract the space ring.
After completing the extraction process, Leo checked the system interface and was pleased to see that his balance had doubled from 3,000 to 6,000 karma points. Feeling a sense of relief that one task had been accomplished, he made his way towards the mission hall.
After some time, Leo arrived at the mission hall. As he stepped inside, he noticed that the building's design was strikingly modern, reminiscent of a bank. Counters lined both ends of the hall, and each counter had a sect member serving as a receptionist. Leo made his way towards one of the counters, passing by a mission board displaying all available missions. As he glanced at the board, a system alert chimed in his head.

Disturbance in the flow of destiny!
Disturbance Factor : 1

Leo's senses were on high alert as he received an alert, causing him to come to an abrupt stop. He took a moment to carefully scan his surroundings, cautious of any potential danger. "This is the second disturbance I've encountered today. I must be lucky," he thought to himself, trying to keep his wits about him.
As he looked around, Leo realized that he had stopped near the mission board. Given the timing of the alert, he deduced that it was likely related to a mission on the board. Without wasting any time, he made his way towards the board and began to meticulously examine each mission.
There were a variety of missions available, ranging from collecting spiritual plants to subjugating monsters or escorting others. Most of these missions were assigned by sects to circulate their territorial needs, or by sect members who lacked the time or skills to complete them.
As Leo combed through each mission, he searched for any clues that might indicate a suspicious mission that could disrupt the natural flow of destiny.
