Chapter 1

Sam's POV

As soon as math class got over, I turned to Belle.

"What's your next class" I asked.

"English" she replied.

I was a bit disappointed. I kinda wished she was in my next class too. I admit I took a liking to her, the moment I laid my eyes on her; Just positive vibes and maybe a little crush but nothing more than that.

She had such intense ocean blue eyes, dark long hair and a cute dimple on her right cheek that popped whenever she smiled.

"And I am Meg, by the way" said a girl who sat beside Belle, with a bright smile.

"Oh, nice to meet you and I'm..."

"...Sam, yeah, heard that. You are really cute."

"Uh...Th..thank you?" I stuttered at the sudden compliment.

Belle laughed. "Sorry, she's really straightforward."

"Do you guys know each other?" questioned Meg, glancing at her friend.

"He was my ride to school today" replied Belle.

"Oh, I see...what's your next class, Sam?" asked Meg.

"History...I hate it..."

"That makes two of us. And...now, you are stuck with me! Let's get going then. Bye, Belle! See ya later!" exclaimed Meg, as she dragged me out.

Belle chuckled, mouthing 'sorry' and I just shrugged.

Belle's POV

After school got over, I was walking out to catch a bus when I heard a voice calling out to me.

"Wait up!"

I turned around to see Meg, out of breath and Sam following slowly behind her, carrying both Meg's and his bag (poor Sam).

He laughed at her and gave me a small wave. I waved back and walked towards them.

"Are you... deaf? Didn't you... hear me... shouting?? Where's your mind at?" she shouted, still panting from chasing me.

"Sorry, was just thinking about my tiring trip to home" I sighed whilst giggling at her state.

"Your car's still not ready? she asked.

"Nope" I let out a weary sigh.

"Want a ride home?" Sam asked and I refused politely, even though my mind was mentally cursing me(more like, my legs were cursing me).

"Oh come on, don't act up! I know you are dying to get a ride ho.." she stopped as I narrowed my eyes at her, which was enough to make her realise the aftermath of her words(I could be pretty fierce if I wanted to).

"Don't worry, you'll have plenty of chances to pay back my favor" he said and to make it more dramatic, he added a 'I mean it' with a serious tone which made all three of us to burst into a fit of laughter.

I let him give me a ride on the promise of paying back the favor later (I'm verrryyy humble....well, not really).

We said our bye(s) to Meg and set off to my home.

"So, what's your passion?" I started to do small talk for time pass.

"Football!" He exclaimed and there was a happy glint in his eyes which were fixated on the road.

"Addicted, I suppose?" I asked.

"That obvious, huh?"

"Your enthusiasm gives it all"

"Yeah, have had a knack for it since I was two."

I nodded thinking of Ted. He also had a great passion for football.

"Belle? Belle? BELLE!"

"Wha..." I realised I had been spacing out and shook my head.

"Penny for your thoughts?"

"Sorry, My mind just decided to wander. Anyway, when are we getting ho...home??" I realised we had arrived already.

"When did we get here??" I asked him.

"Just ten minutes ago" he said and smirked. Confused, I checked my watch and punched him in the arm realising he had been fooling me.

"Well then, see ya at school" I said and was about to turn when he stopped me.

"Want a ride to school till your car is ready?" He questioned.

I was about to refuse and yet again, he stopped me.

"Ok then. That's settled. Byeeee" he sped off before I could say anything.

I laughed as his car disappeared from my sight.

"Silly Sam. He's really sweet." I thought to myself and went in. I really loved his cheerful aura and his charisma. He would make a really great friend.
